What is your true identity? When you accept Christ as Lord and Savior, and the Holy Spirit dwells within you, your identity is in Christ. You are adopted into God's family. During life's struggles and trials, don't forget this foundational truth. Remember who you are!
Does Jesus really understand what you're going through? Can he relate? We have a God who understands what it is to be human. He understands our struggles.

This begins a new 3-week series on the "mighty warrior" of Gideon in the Old Testament. Remember the promise of Ephesians 3:20-21, "Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in (RISING) church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen."
God chose to make our problems his problems. He chose to step into our mess, our filth so that He could provide a way out, a new hope, a new chance at life. A new beginning. That's the beauty of Christmas.
The God of the universe is not distant or unsympathetic. He knows and empathizes because of Jesus coming down into our mess and living among us.

Senior Pastor Aaron Young called on the RISING Church community of faith to get "unstuck" and commit to spiritual growth. We need each other if we are going to make it in our walks with God. We need to invest in one another and we need our roots to intertwine with others' roots so that we can stand firm.
Pastor Aaron Young challenges all of us to be a "great cloud of witnesses" for the next generation, for each other, and for those outside of the church.
"Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good." -- 1 Corinthians 12:7 Pray today that each of us would play the part that God has for us at RISING Church. Pray that we would be faithful with the gifts, talents, abilities, passions that he has given us. Pray that we would not bury those abilities. Pray that we would fan into flame what God has uniquely designed each of us with and use it for his glory!
Modeling the first Christian Church described in the Book of Acts, Pastor Aaron Young challenges us to be "joined together constantly in prayer" for the next 21 days. "Pray for God's power (dynamos), God's presence, God's spirit to fall upon us."
