How can a small, unassuming shepherd boy be anointed king over a nation? God only knows. The story of David's life proves exactly that, and it shows us this truth: while we may care about the outward appearances of others, God looks at our hearts. Only He knows who we truly are deep down and only He knows who He has chosen for His Kingdom.

In this final message of the Son of David series, we are discovering Jesus in a way we might not have expected! Psalm 45 is a royal wedding song, a beautiful poem of love and joy. The writer of Hebrews makes it clear this is also a foreshadowing of Jesus, the Bridegroom King. His appearance? - "the most handsome." His speech? - "grace flows from His lips." He has the character of a warrior and is triumphant in the cause of truth, humility, and justice. And maybe most surprising of all - He is full of joy! The Church is described as His Bride, and she, too, is celebrating! At her King's right hand, she is adorned with gold, beautiful and desirable. Our celebrating Messiah sees us like this, and we have an amazing future with our even more amazing King.

The Pharisees knew the Psalms, but Jesus' question about Psalm 110 left them speechless. Why does David call the Messiah "Lord"? How can the Son of David also be his Lord? As we dive further into this psalm we can begin to see this Lord as Divine King, Eternal Priest, and Ultimate Victor. And just who is this Divine Messiah? The New Testament is very clear: Jesus.

Abide | The Life of David Part 9
When Mary brings the expensive perfume to anoint Jesus she is pouring out a costly, atmosphere-changing, sacrifice of worship. Acts of costly worship like this also expose hearts. Judas is offended, claiming that she is being wasteful and that she could have sold it to give to the poor. But what does Jesus call it? "Beautiful." His rebuke of Judas seems to be one of the final straws leading to Judas' betrayal, and Jesus has something to say about this, too. "The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him..."

You've tried the meditations. You've done the breathwork. You've read every self-help book you could find. So why do you still feel stuck? In this episode, Dr. David Snyder isn't holding back. He tackles real questions from real people about ADHD, trauma, sleep issues, healing, and personal growth—and offers some surprising, practical answers that don't involve years of therapy or expensive programs. This isn't about vague affirmations or spiritual fluff. Dr. David talks about:· Why your body is often running the show (and how to take back control)· How your breathing and posture might be the key to managing ADHD symptoms· What to do when traditional healing methods don't work· The wild (but real) ways energy spinning and image cycling can heal pain· How “lucky people” think and act differently—and how you can become one of themIf you've ever felt like you're doing everything right but still not getting the results you want… this conversation might be exactly what you need to hear.Dr. David's advice is raw, unconventional, and deeply practical. He's not here to coddle you—he's here to wake you up to what's possible when you finally learn to reprogram the subconscious patterns running your life.Key Quotes:"Every single event, every single attribute or perceived deficiency in your mind and body can be looked at in a positive light or negative light, and the meaning you assign to it will determine the life directions you take.""Nothing in life is wasted. Every training you've ever gone to, every lesson you've ever had, even every bad thing that's ever happened to you, is a resource.""Your body's always listening. So it's really important to monitor not just your thoughts, but the words you speak, and how you speak them."Key Takeaways:Reclaim your focus through your body. If you struggle with ADHD or mental fog, don't start with your mind—start with your posture and breathing. Straighten your spine, breathe deeper, and get physically active. Your body leads; your mind follows.Stop treating symptoms. Ask better questions. Whether it's emotional pain, trauma, or energy blocks—ask yourself: “What's the root of this? What unresolved moment or belief is feeding this pattern?” Go beyond temporary fixes. Seek the source.Reframe resistance into choice. When facing opposition (in yourself or others), ask: “If I were to do this for my own reasons, what might they be?” This turns defiance into personal ownership.Episode Timeline:0:00:02 - Intro and announcer's introduction 0:00:26 - David Snyder begins discussing fighting, influence, and ADHD management • Talks about physical approaches to managing ADHD• Discusses posture, breathing, and reframing techniques0:05:04 - Begins addressing various audience questions • Discusses energy sensitivity• Talks about sleep apnea solutions• Explores chakra cleansing and energy healing techniques0:14:25 - Deeper discussion on spiritual concepts • Explains manifestation and connection to source• Discusses how quickly things manifest as a measure of spiritual connection0:24:26 - Provides advice on psychic abilities and Qigong • Recommends practices for developing intuition• Discusses healing modalities0:40:08 - Explores characteristics of lucky people • Explains how lucky people think and act• Discusses manifestation techniques0:48:25 - Talks about image cycling and manifestation • Provides guidance on how to use manifestation techniques• Discusses working with his associates and referrals0:56:45 - Closing remarks • Provides final thoughts and community supportTo learn more about Dr. David Snyder and everything about NLP, visit:Website: https://www.nlppower.com/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@DavidSnyderNLPInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/davidsnydernlp

What if the real reason you're stuck isn't in your circumstances—but in your subconscious programming? In this powerful, unscripted AMA, Dr. David Snyder answers real-life questions about trauma, emotional weight gain, confidence struggles, and the hidden patterns that block success. He shares raw insights on how to rewire your mind, clear deep-rooted fears, and reclaim control over your health, relationships, and goals. If you've ever felt held back by invisible forces, this episode will shift your perspective and give you tools to start changing your reality from the inside out. Key Quotes:• "You can be or do or have anything in this world that you want, but you've got to be willing to do whatever it takes to get there." - Dr. David Snyder• "The universe will test you over and over again. If you're constantly leapfrogging from one thing to the next and never take time to grow roots, that's running west looking for a sunrise." - Dr. David Snyder• “Sometimes you just got to keep going and trust the process, rather than constantly pulling up roots and starting over." - Dr. David SnyderKey Takeaways:• Emotional Roots of Weight Gain: Many cases of obesity stem from unresolved emotional trauma, such as childhood abuse or the subconscious need to feel "invisible" for protection.• Imagination is Critical to Change: Imagination doesn't disappear in adulthood—it gets restricted. Reawakening it is essential for healing, goal-setting, and personal transformation.• Your Mind Shapes Your Health: How you internalize diagnoses (like cancer) and the language doctors use can directly impact your prognosis and healing process. Belief systems matter.• Remote Healing Works—Sometimes: Techniques like surrogate tapping can be effective, but success often depends on the relationship and the other person's openness to healing.• Boundaries Are Non-Negotiable: If you're drained by others, especially as an introvert, it's critical to be direct and explicit about your personal boundaries.• Confidence Is a Practice, Not a Trait: Confidence fades when we focus on past failures or fear future judgment. Visualization, posture, breathing, and “energy spinning” can rebuild it instantly.• Persistence Over Perfection: Big wins are built on small, consistent actions. Jumping from strategy to strategy kills momentum—stay the course and trust the process.• Sales Success = Emotional Connection: In persuasion and influence, techniques like the Echo Method and emotional bonding are key to building trust and closing sales ethically.• Physical Symptoms Often Have Emotional Causes: From panic attacks to chronic illness, unresolved emotional and energetic imbalances are often the real culprits.• Healing Starts with Self-Work: True transformation isn't about finding the perfect system—it's about becoming the person who can create the results you want.Episode Timeline:[0:00:02 - 0:10:16] Introduction and Early Interactions [0:10:16 - 0:21:01] Personal Development and Success Strategies [0:21:01 - 0:39:35] Mental Reprogramming and Energy Dynamics [0:39:35 - 0:50:02] Advanced Healing and Personal Transformation [0:50:02 - 0:58:53] Closing Insights and Martial Arts PhilosophyTo learn more about Dr. David Snyder and everything about NLP, visit:Website: https://www.nlppower.com/YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@DavidSnyderNLPInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/davidsnydernlp
"My God, my God, why have You abandoned me?" It's a cry of anguish and isolation, of traumatic emotional pain. Both David and Jesus cried these words out to God, even though each of them still acknowledge who God is the midst of their pain. The pain of David's trauma and of Jesus' sacrificial death on the cross is not the end, and the psalm continues. "You answered me!" Still today, God hears our cries and is faithful to His promises, even when the path to which He calls us leads through a 'cross.'

At times, life can seem overwhelming! Though Psalm 16 isn't a Mother's Day psalm, there are lots of applications to motherhood. Every one of us, including moms, can find fresh hope as we rediscover that God is a refuge, even in life's most difficult moments. Psalm 16 is a good reminder that: we are surrounded by holy people in progress, being shaped by His grace; God has an amazing inheritance for us, offering Himself to us fully; and His word guards and guides us, bringing clarity in confusion. Most importantly, when we entrust ourselves to Jesus, we are trusting in a resurrected Messiah who walks with us through every trial and who promises eternal life.
God is truly magnificent, and the majesty of His Creation is meant to leave us in awe as it points us to Him. From the the wonder of stars and galaxies to the voices of tiny children, all Creation testifies to the greatness of God. In the vastness of it all, we may wonder why God would give such dignity to humans, and Psalm 8 poses this same question. And it's in this question that God speaks prophetically about one "son of man" in particular, who the New Testament reveals to be Jesus. In Him, we discover our own dignity as sons of Adam and daughters of Eve.

Psalm 2 describes the nations raging against God. God is not nervous or in the least bit intimidated by this, but instead ... He laughs! God is truly sovereign and when we stand with him we can have confidence. All the sovereign power and glory the Father has He has promised to Jesus His Son, and part of that promise includes the nations of the earth. All nations are invited, and wise, to draw near in reverence and awe to "kiss the Son." We too are invited into the joy of living under the reign of Jesus the Messiah, the King of the Nations.

Send us a textThe rich tapestry of Scripture contains countless threads that, when carefully examined, reveal the consistent pattern of God's redemptive plan. In this thought-provoking exploration of 1 Samuel 25, we uncover how the story of David, Nabal, and Abigail serves as a powerful allegory for salvation, divine representation, and the gospel message.David, a man after God's own heart, sends messengers "in his name" to extend peace and blessing to Nabal—a foolish, churlish man whose very name means "fool." When these emissaries are rejected and insulted, David prepares for judgment, only to be intercepted by Abigail, Nabal's wise and discerning wife who recognizes the authority of the future king and intervenes with humility and wisdom. This narrative contains striking parallels to our spiritual journey. David represents Christ, sending messengers ahead of him just as God sends His representatives to extend the gospel of peace. Nabal embodies human foolishness and rebellion, rejecting divine authority and blessing through pride and self-sufficiency. Abigail demonstrates the humble posture of repentance necessary for reconciliation, serving as a mediator who prevents judgment through her intervention. As we examine this passage together, we discover a profound truth: "Everything in the Bible is about salvation. More importantly, everything in the Bible is about Christ." The gospel message doesn't begin in Matthew but weaves through every book of Scripture, revealing God's consistent character and redemptive purpose across generations. What ancient biblical stories have deepened your understanding of salvation? How might you, as an ambassador sent in the King's name, carry His message of peace to those who can't yet recognize His authority? Send us a textDiscover the beautiful gospel typology hidden within the story of David, Nabal, and Abigail in 1 Samuel 25. This compelling analysis reveals how David's peace offerings to Nabal mirror Christ's extension of grace to a resistant world. When David sends ten messengers with words of blessing, he demonstrates extraordinary humility—much like our Savior who humbled himself to reach us.The parallels are striking: David's messengers speak only his exact words and then cease, teaching us how we should faithfully communicate Christ's message without embellishment. Nabal's dismissive response—"Who is David? Who is the son of Jesse?"—echoes the world's rejection of Jesus, reminiscent of the Pharisees questioning, "Isn't this just the carpenter's son?"What makes this study transformative is seeing how the Old Testament consistently foreshadows the gospel. As one participant noted, it's like searching for Christ in every passage and discovering He's been there all along—the treasure hidden in the field worth seeking. This episode provides practical wisdom for believers sharing their faith in a resistant world. We learn when to speak, when to move on, and how to represent our Master faithfully. David's immediate preparation for judgment after rejection illustrates a profound truth: if we reject God's peace, what remains but consequences?Whether you're a seasoned Bible student or new to studying Scripture, you'll gain fresh insights into God's character and our calling as His ambassadors. Looking for Christ in unexpected places transforms how we read the Bible and share His message with others. Send us a textThe divine ultimatum stands before every human being: peace with God or war against Him. In this thought-provoking Bible study on 1 Samuel 25, we unpack the rich gospel typology hidden within the story of David, Nabal, and Abigail. The name "Nabal" translates to "fool" or "senseless one" – a fitting description for this man who foolishly rejected David's reasonable request despite receiving protection from David's men. This rejection mirrors humanity's irrational response to God's grace, reflecting Paul's words that "the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing."Abigail emerges as the central Christ-figure, embodying redemption through her decisive action. Four times the text emphasizes that she "made haste" or "hurried" – illustrating the urgency with which we should respond to God's call. Standing between David's righteous anger and her foolish husband, Abigail intercedes with gifts and humility, seeking peace just as Christ mediates between God's justice and sinful humanity. The narrative reaches its powerful climax when Nabal dies and Abigail becomes David's wife – moving from union with foolishness to union with the future king. This transformation perfectly captures the gospel in one sentence: "God slays your Nabal and marries you to Christ."Our lively discussion explores multiple layers of spiritual significance, revealing how Scripture contains endless treasures for those willing to look beyond surface details. Participants share personal insights about finding Christ throughout the Old Testament and how these ancient stories directly apply to our relationship with God today.Whether you're new to Bible study or a seasoned student of Scripture, this exploration will deepen your understanding of how God reveals himself through every biblical narrative. Join us in discovering how these ancient words speak directly to our most pressing spiritual needs today.Support the show
