In this series of lessons from our Wednesday Evening ZOOM Bible Study, we are going to take a look at the life of Moses and the miracles that God did in order to bring the Children of Israel out of Egyptian bondage and see how they apply to us today. God is still a supernatural, miracle working God today in the New Testament just as He was in the Old Testament. God is never afraid of a challenge and rather looks forward to a challenge because He will not be outdone in any way. He sees it as an opportunity to show up and show out on behalf of His people and His Name.
Just as electricity has been present from the creation of the world, it lay dormant until someone discovered the laws that one must enact in order to use the benefits of the electricity. Electricity was here all the time, but ignorance kept men from being able to enjoy the benefits of it. The power of God was sent into the earth in the Holy Spirit on the Day of Pentecost for everyone to be able to receive. But ignorance keeps us from being able to connect with Him and experience the power of God in our lives and see it affect the lives of other people. In this series of messages, we will learn how to make the connection to the power of God and maintain that connection in our lives.

You might have heard the following phrase: “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but word will never hurt me.” Although this saying may have been meant as a defense against verbal bullying, when you look at the Word of God, it really is not true. Words are immensely powerful and do have the power to hurt you, especially your own words. Proverbs 18:21 | ERV (21) The tongue can speak words that bring life or death. Those who love to talk must be ready to accept what it brings. In this series of messages, we are going to learn how to use our tongue as a skilled laborer uses a tool: on purpose and with the results God intends for every believer's life.

The power of patience is a working power. When faith has a tendency to waver, it is patience that comes to faith's aid to make it stand. The power of patience is necessary to undergird faith. Almost everywhere you find faith mentioned in the Bible, you also find patience. Faith and patience are the power twins. Together they will produce every time. Patience without faith has no power to call into reality the thing desired. Faith is the substance of things we hope for. Patience without faith has no substance. On the other hand, faith without patience many times will fail to stand firm on the evidence of the Word that gives deed to things not seen. Jesus told Peter that he had prayed for him that his faith fail not. Without the power of patience at work, we will allow sensory knowledge - the things we see - to overwhelm our faith. Patience undergirds faith and gives it endurance to persevere until the answer comes. Faith is a powerful force. It always works. It is not that our faith is weak and needs strength, but without the power of patience we ourselves stop the force of faith from working with negative confession and action. It is our faith, and we can put it into action. It is our faith, and we can stop it from working. In this series of lessons from our Wednesday Evening ZOOM Bible Study, we find out how these two work and how to develop them.

The internet defines brain washing as mind control, thought control, and thought reform. Usually this is in the context of someone doing this to you, but the Bible teaches that this is something we must do to ourselves through the Word of God in order to experience real life change. Our minds must be renewed (washed) from old patterns of thinking that are contrary to God's Word, if we are ever going to enter into God's highest and best for our lives. In this series of sermons, we will learn how to do that.

Jesus said in Matthew 6:33 (AMPC) that when we seek after God's way of doing things and His way of being right, then all of the things of this earth that we could need would be added to our lives. It is important that we not only learn faith and how to believe God, but we should also learn His ways, His character, and His thoughts so that we can live like Him in every area of our lives. When we know His ways and His character, living by faith becomes very easy. The series of lessons is from our ZOOM Bible Study on Wednesday Evenings.

Matthew 11:28-30 | AMPC (28) Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.] (29) Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest (relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls. [Jer 6:16] (30) For My yoke is wholesome (useful, good--not harsh, hard, sharp, or pressing, but comfortable, gracious, and pleasant), and My burden is light and easy to be borne. If you could really see into the souls of people, you would see that type of baggage being carried around even by people that don't realize they are carrying any baggage. Based on what Jesus said in the above verses, it clearly is not His will that we carry a bunch of baggage around in life. He wants to set us free from the baggage and give us rest and refreshing for our souls. In this series, we are talking about the process of getting rid of this baggage so that you can be free, and not harm your relationships.

God is always endeavoring to move in our lives to help us to make the right decisions that will allow His blessing and His life to be our life experience. Contrary to that, the enemy of our souls is also trying to move in our lives to shape our decision-making process in order to thwart the plan of God from coming to pass in our lives. No one in their right mind is going to make a conscious decision for death in any of its forms and desire to experience that in their lives. Deception is not just ONE of the ways that the enemy can bring the effects of the curse into your life. it is the ONLY way. If Satan cannot deceive you, he cannot defeat you.

There is a key to living and functioning in the power of God that most of us have not yet tapped in to and that is heartfelt, fervent prayer. In this sermon series we will look at many aspects of prayer which will not only deepen your relationship with God but open the door to His plan for your life.
