Understanding the Times Sunday Morning | September 21, 2025 | Speaker: Pastor Tim Cruse
Acts 2:38-4738 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.39 The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.”40 With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.”41 Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day. 42 They devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.43 Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. 44 All the believers were together and had everything in common.45 They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need.46 Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts,47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. Understanding the times (Acts 2:40) Proclaiming the Gospel (Acts 2:22–36, Romans 1:16-17) Seeking the Life (Acts 2:41-47)
“And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do; the heads of them were two hundred; and all their brethren were at their commandment.” (1 Chr... More...

Click here for more on this topic and other free resources - https://www.drjimrichards.com Walking in faith is all about trust. But this trust is more than simply believing the Scripture in our minds—it's about persuading our hearts to believe the Word of God and trusting Him enough to follow the Holy Spirit wherever and however He leads! If we neglect either of these, our faith will fall short, and we will miss the consistent, powerful outcomes God has promised. Galatians 6:9 tells us, “In due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” Many believers think “due season” is when God finally decides to respond to our faith. But the truth is—God is ready right now to fulfill His promises. The delay is not on His side. Often, it's the obstacles, distractions, and snares around us—and the doubts within us—that hinder us from receiving. When Galatians speaks of “due season,” it's not about God's clock ticking—it's about our readiness. The word “season” means opportune time. The word “due” means your own time. Put together, it means that your “due season” is the moment you are prepared to receive. God's season is always now. “Today is the day!” (2 Corinthians 6:2) In my new series, Understanding the Times and Knowing What to Do, we'll explore how God is always eager to fulfill every promise He's made—and how our own hearts, thoughts, and circumstances can block us from stepping into what's already ours in Christ. You'll learn how to walk in step with the Holy Spirit so that you move in perfect timing… and finally see God's promises come alive in your life. Don't miss this life-changing teaching—your “due season” could start today!
In this episode of End Times Friday, Richard Case and Kathy Rocconi discuss the current geopolitical landscape, focusing on the threats posed by nuclear weapons in the Middle East, particularly from Iran, and the implications for Israel. They explore the concept of a two-state solution and the challenges it faces, as well as the spiritual dimensions of these events in light of biblical prophecy. The conversation also delves into the rise of a one world government and the economic changes that are shaping our future, emphasizing the importance of understanding the times and knowing how to respond as believers. We want to hear from YOU! Daniel 11 gives a surprisingly detailed picture of the centuries between the Old and New Testaments, a time often seen as silent. Andrew's preach unpacks what was really going on in that period, from empires rising and falling to the events that shaped Israel's story and set the stage for Jesus. It's a message that helps us see God's hand in history and draws out what that means for how we live today with faith, resilience and courage.

What kind of leaders does our world need today? In this episode, Dr. John Neufeld explores the wisdom of the men of Issachar—leaders who "understood the times and knew what Israel should do." With insight into Luke 17 and Jesus' encounter with the ten lepers, Dr. John challenges us to be people of discernment, gratitude, and faith—aware of our times and aligned with God's purposes. The King Arrives: Throughout North American history, there have been two main reactions to monarchy: rebellion or apathy. Some believe the Crown should be rejected, while others see it as largely irrelevant. In short, we wrestle with the idea of kingship. But for followers of Christ, acknowledging Jesus as King is not optional—it's foundational. In this series, Dr. John Neufeld explores Luke 17–20, showing that the Kingship of Jesus is not only central to the Christian faith, but vital for the world.

This edition of Crosstalk began with Jim reminding listeners in Florida, and particularly in Wisconsin, about today's election. In Wisconsin the key race is between Republican Brad Schimel and Democrat Susan Crawford. Jim described this election (which has had over 100 million dollars poured into it) as really being about life vs. abortion, male and female vs. gender fluidity, religious liberty vs. religious bondage and the rule of law vs. judicial activism. As Jim explained, even congressional boundaries are at stake as well. Audio from House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries highlights this segment of the program. The remainder of the program addressed some of the violence going on in American society today in order to make you "understanding of the times" (1 Chronicles 12:32). Matthew 24:37 tells us what life was like in the days of Noah and that this environment would repeat itself at the time of the coming of the Son of Man. Is it possible his coming is not far off? You decide as Jim gives you a brief glimpse of the violence through numerous stories like the ones below:Violence in the womb--Since the Supreme Court's abortion decision in 1973, there's been just over 66.6 million babies killed in the U.S. via abortion. An American teenage girl was taken into custody by Paris police after her newborn baby was thrown from the window of a hotel on the outskirts of the city. The baby died of severe injuries.A Kentucky museum says a Planned Parenthood staffer inadvertently provided sexually explicit coloring books to kids as young as 8 years old at an event earlier this month.Lawmakers in Maryland advanced a bill (HB-380—the "Condoms for Kiddies" bill).

Signs in the Heavens – Understanding the Times Without Fear • Friday Service To support this ministry: www.ToddCoconato.com/give Website: www.PastorTodd.org App: www.ToddCoconato.com/app 1. Luke 21:25-28 (NKJV): “And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men's hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.” 2. Genesis 1:14 (NKJV): “Then God said, ‘Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years.'” 3. Joel 2:30-31 (NKJV): “And I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth: blood and fire and pillars of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.” 4. Acts 2:19-20 (NKJV): “I will show wonders in heaven above and signs in the earth beneath: blood and fire and vapor of smoke. The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.” 5. Revelation 6:12-14 (NKJV): “I looked when He opened the sixth seal, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the moon became like blood. And the stars of heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree drops its late figs when it is shaken by a mighty wind. Then the sky receded as a scroll when it is rolled up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place.” 6. Matthew 24:29-30 (NKJV): “Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven.” 7. Isaiah 41:10 (NKJV): “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” 8. John 14:27 (NKJV): “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” 9. Mark 13:33-35 (NKJV): “Take heed, watch and pray; for you do not know when the time is. It is like a man going to a far country, who left his house and gave authority to his servants, and to each his work, and commanded the doorkeeper to watch.” 10. 2 Peter 3:10-12 (NKJV): “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness.”

Understanding the Times Ecclesiastes 3:1-22 “Teach us to number our days and recognize how few they are; help us to spend them as we should.” Psalm 90:12 1. Understand that time will present us with a variety of experiences. 2. Understand that God makes everything beautiful, in its time. “Faith means believing in advance what will only make sense in reverse.” Philip Yancey 3. Understand that we are to live out our time on earth with an eternal perspective. 4. Understand that God desires us to enjoy the time we've been given. 5. Understand that God is sovereign over time and we're accountable for how we us our it.
Right now what the church needs is people who perceive the spiritual moment we're in and know what to do. Like the men of Issachar, who gave themselves to help make David king, believers in America and around the world need to realize, “This is a critical moment. We need to make Jesus King over more people. We're going to give ourselves to it.” Let's do it today.
