"How can I curse those God has not cursed? Or how can I [violently] denounce those the Lord has not denounced?", so says Balaam to Balak as recorded in Numbers 23:8 (AMPC). God has given the believer every spiritual blessing in Heavenly places. You cannot be cursed and blessed at the same time. Therefore the believer in Christ cannot have a generational curse, even if he or she had one before receiving Jesus as Lord. Proverbs 26 verse 2 shows us that an unjustified curse will not affect its target. The verse gives us the imagery of birds flying by to illustrate that an undeserved curse does not settle on its intended victim. God's justice ensures that curses without merit do not harm the innocent, emphasizing the importance of living righteously and avoiding actions that might invite curses. This concept provides comfort to those facing unjust accusations or curses, reminding them that such curses are ineffective if they remain blameless.If the born again believer in Christ understands and believes in the variety of scripture that shows God's divine protection for those that seek Him, then nothing shall by any means hurt that person. (see Luke 10:19). Where the believer runs into trouble is when he or she believes that generational curses can still connect to them and affect them. It is like anything in the Bible. It only comes true for the person reading, when that person finds out the truth and then decides to believe in it, taking every thought captive in obedience to Christ, and rejecting any false teachings, including on this topic of generational curses.Any problem for the believer is not a generational curse, but their own actions. God has provided a way of escape from sin through trusting and leaning on His Son Jesus, being cleansed of sin and being set free FROM it after the believer confesses his or her sins. The believer simply needs to – believe – the scriptures that reveal the truth that they are set free by the finished works of Christ, repent (turn from) their sinful ways and actions and walk with Jesus with a heart of purity to the best of their ability.We also consider that the life of the believer is not necessarily a life guaranteed free of committing sin. It is extremely unlikely for a truly born again believer to desire habitual sin, since the heart of the Christian is going through a continual process of sanctification. However that does not mean sin does not occur, albeit hopefully with a sorrowful and repentant heart. How quickly the believer repents is the difference between one with a heart after Jesus, and one who is not trying to keep themselves unstained by the world. For the one with their heart focused on and seeking the Lord, that abiding with Jesus and the fellowship in the secret place ensures the continual divine protection from generational curses, and other evils from the powers of darkness and the enemies therein. The myth that it is possible to search for a sin committed by an ancestor in order to break a generational curse is a lie. Most people do not want to declare their sins to God, much less to their family members. So what makes us believe that we would know our ancestor's sin in order to break the generational curse?In any case it does not matter. MAY. 22, 2025How to stay enthusiastic about God.'My food,' said Jesus, 'is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work.'" Jn 4:34 NIVNo one had more energy than Jesus. He got up early, stayed up late, and sometimes pulled all-nighters. Where did He get all that energy from? The answer is found in a fascinating dialogue. "His disciples urged him, 'Rabbi, eat something. But He said to them, 'I have food to eat that you know nothing about! Then His disciples said to each other, 'Could someone have brought him food?' 'My food, said Jesus, 'is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work'" (vv. 31-34 NIV). When you see the word "food," you think energy because that's what food is. And Jesus makes an insightful point here: God's will is energizing. So, how do you keep yourself energized? By staying in the will of God. Engaging in God-ordained passions and pursuing God-sized dreams is how we produce energy. Nothing energizes us more. Don't just repent of doing what is wrong; replace it with what is right. Paul writes: "Therefore, my beloved brethren, be firm (steadfast), immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord [always being superior, excelling, doing more than enough in the service of the Lord], knowing and being continually aware that your labor in the Lord is not futile [it is never wasted or to no purpose]" (1Co 15:58 AMPC). Faith is foundational to our relationship with God—it takes faith, alongside grace, to receive salvation, and it also takes faith to grow and live out God's purpose daily.The Bible makes it clear: “The just shall live by faith.” This statement is so vital it appears in both the Old and New Testaments—Habakkuk, Romans, Galatians, and Hebrews all affirm it. The “just” are those who have come to know Jesus, and their lifestyle must be lived out by faith.Revisiting the parable of the persistent widow in Luke 18:1-8, the widow stood her ground before the unrighteous judge, seeking justice against her adversary. Even though the judge neither feared God nor cared for people, he eventually granted her request—not out of compassion, but because of her relentless persistence.Jesus concluded the parable with a powerful question in Luke 18:8;(MKJV), I say to you that He will avenge them speedily. Yet when the Son of Man comes, shall He find faith on the earth?(TPT), God will give swift justice to those who don't give up. So be ever praying, ever expecting, in the same way as the widow. Even so, when the Son of Man comes back, will he find this kind of undying faith on earth?”(AMPC), I tell you; He will defend and protect and avenge them speedily. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find [[a]persistence in] faith on the earth?This isn't just about having faith in God to go to heaven, it's about having persistent faith to possess your possessions on earth. His love, mercy, and grace have sustained us, and for that, we give Him all the praise. Faith is one of those foundational teachings of the Bible of which much is said but little is understood. We will discuss this with a fresh perspective and clearly, we will not be able to fully exhaust this topic. But we trust God to equip you enough to be able to build up and grow in your faith from there.In the Gospel of Luke 18:1-8, Jesus gave the story of a wicked judge and a widow who got justice from the judge in spite of his unwillingness to help her. To Teach them what the Bible says about them and who they have been made to be in the promises of God's Word. This changed my life years ago and completely transformed me from a person full of doubt, fear and unbelief to a strong confident Christian that knows I can do anything through Jesus Christ my Lord and Savior. That means every person that has ever been born, including you, has seeds of success within them. All you need to do is water them and feed them, and they will grow. So why do many people fail to reach their God-given potential in life? One of the key reasons is low self-esteem; they don't believe in themselves.They possess hundreds of possibilities, but they never nurture them because they have persuaded themselves that they're incapable of learning and growing into something amazing. If you don't believe you're valuable and worth investing in, you will never spend the time and effort necessary to develop into what God made you to be. Zig Ziglar said, "It's impossible to consistently behave in a manner inconsistent with how we see ourselves. We can do very few things in a positive way if we feel negative about ourselves." Paul was humble. He was aware of his total dependence on God. But He also had a healthy sense of self-worth. Here is what he wrote to those who believed in him and supported his ministry: "I have strength for all things in Christ Who empowers me [I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him Who infuses inner strength into me; I am self-sufficient in Christ's sufficiency]. Dr. Becca Bruning, Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Specialist at the Moffitt Cancer and Research Institute in Tampa, FL, takes a deep dive into the subject of resistance mechanisms for specific gram negative bacteria. Dr. Bruning begins her talk by discussing the primary resistance mechanisms, including porin channels, efflux pumps, and other target sites. Extended spectrum beta-lactamases (ESBLs) are next covered, including typical bacterial species, identification techniques, ESBL testing, and the use of Piperacillin-tazobactam and carbapenems. Next, Dr. Bruning mentions AmpC-type resistance, and identifies the “HECKYES” bacteria. Pharmacokinetic and phamacdynamic considerations are explored, and specific antimicrobial agents are discussed. Lastly, Dr. Bruning covers the use of carbapenemase testing including the modified hodge test and the Carba-R test.

Each advent season calls us to ponder the promise of Isaiah 9:6, “For a child will be born to us. A son will be given, and the government will rest on his shoulders, and He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of peace.” Scripture uses many names to describe the members of the Trinity, but these names were given in anticipation of Jesus Christ, our Messiah, the King of all kings, and Savior.
