This week in our "Journey Through Scripture" sermon series, Pastor Jim Ellis delivered a message based on Luke 8. The sermon focused on some of the miracles of Jesus: subduing a storm, bringing freedom to a man bound by demons, granting healing to a suffering woman, and resurrecting a deceased girl. Pastor Jim pressed us to look inward, asking for our personal response to Christ. The ultimate call was one of action: once we've had our own personal encounter, we are commissioned to proclaim to all those around us the incredible testimony of what Jesus has done. #BCC #Gospel #JourneyThroughScripture #ReadBible #Unity #BibleStudy #ChristianLiving #JimEllis #BiblicalTruth #BCCBismarck #Luke8 #MiraclesOfJesus #PersonalEncounter #GoAndProclaim #TellYourStorySupport the showFind out more about us at BismarckCC.org. Today's story is found in Mark 2:1–12 "Jesus heals a paralysed man" ________________________________________________ Picking his way carefully across the roof, Caleb stopped where he thought the middle of the house would be. Kneeling down, he began to pull at the tiles of the roof, trying to lift them off. Dirt caked under his fingernails as he dug, and the midday sun was hot against his back. His arm was getting really sore, but he forced himself to keep going, knowing Asher was down below, just waiting for his chance to see… POP! A tile lifted up, and Caleb was so surprised it took him a moment to register his thoughts. It worked! He thought to himself gleefully, as he pulled the rest of the tile off the roof. Once the tile had been taken off, through the small square, he could see into the house. Walking quickly but carefully back to the edge of the roof, Caleb waved his arms to get Levi and Hannah's attention..... What happened next? To find out, find a comfortable spot and listen to the episode. _________________________________________________________________________________ Story by: Maritza Brunt READ STORY ON THE BLOG VISIT OUR WEBSITE SHOP OUR BOOKS Shop our audiobooks Special effect editing: James Wagner music credit: http://www.purple-planet.com/ Email us: stories4gigi@gmail.com Write to us: GIGI KIDS STORIES PO BOX 6505 Upper Mt Gravatt Queensland Australia 4122

Sermon Title: Jesus HealsSermon Series: The Miracles of Jesus (Part 20)Speaker: Pastor Verna DeHartDate: June 1, 2025In this week's message from Soul Harvest Worship Center, Pastor Verna DeHart dives into Luke 14 where Jesus heals a man suffering from dropsy—right in front of the Pharisees, on the Sabbath. This bold act of compassion is followed by deep teachings on humility, true hospitality, and the high cost of being a disciple. As Jesus tells parables about wedding feasts and banquets, we're reminded that the Kingdom of God is for those who are hungry, humble, and willing to respond to His call. The invitation is open, but the excuses are many. Will you say yes?
In this powerful message, we explore one of Jesus' most compassionate miracles — healing a woman who had been bound by a spirit of infirmity for 18 long years. As Jesus speaks life and freedom over her on the Sabbath, we see the power of His authority over both physical and spiritual bondage. Pastor [Insert Name if applicable] challenges us to examine what areas in our own lives need to be loosed in Jesus' Name! This isn't just a historical account — it's a call to action. Whether you're battling emotional heaviness, chronic sickness, or spiritual chains, Jesus still sets captives free. Tune in and be reminded that your release is found in Him.
