In this episode I interview Jonathan Jorgensen who owns and operates Northstate Crossfit in Redding, CA. After having found Crossfit and falling in love, he experienced numerous heartbreak injuries which prevented him from potentially competing in the Crossfit Games. He talks about how God used those disappointments to teach him about his identity as a son of God which helped change his perspective on Crossfit and the role it played in his life.  We also discuss: - What crossfit is all about - The benefits of crossfit as a training program and what to do if you are just working out on your own. - The fight over masculinity and what it looks like to be a man in today's culture.

Often times as we get older we can get comfortable in life. We want the family, the job, the security. And just sit back and relax. Jesus was anything but comfortable. And if we are to act as the sons we are, then we need to get uncomfortable too.  Cold showers do that - they make you uncomfortable. And help get you out of your comfort zone. Jesus left heaven, the most amazing place in the universe, to come to earth. That was definitely a cold shower. What are your cold showers? To the last three churches in Revelation 3, Jesus gives some amazing promises to the "one who conquers." We have been given the opportunity to sit on His throne in heaven. We have been given the privilege of being in the family of God as His sons. And Jesus will confess our names before our Father and His angels.  The best part is we don't have to wait! We can experience deeper and deeper intimacy with Him here and now. How bad do you want it?
