Gary and Joy have been best friends for almost 30 years. He's a little bit Country and she's a little bit... not. They talk about their lives, adventures and crazy stunts in this sometimes silly, sometimes serious tribute to the delights of having a best friend forever.
In a very non-PC episode full of unabashed swearing Gary and Joy are back, what a drag. Queens that is! The chatty podcasters will be celebrating their 30th Anniversary by seeing the lovely and talented Miss Coco Peru, who is celebrating HER 20th Anniversary, when she's next in NYC. Until then they discuss the fabulousness that is drag - from Bugs Bunny to Divine with a shout-out from Joy to Eddie Izzard (not a drag queen, but a super-hottie Executive Transvestite). If you are in NYC and want to have an amazingly great time, go see Miss Coco Peru. You'll thank us. Promise! Podcast Run Time: 17:20 MISS COCO PERU'S NEW SHOW IN NYC - 4 SHOWS ONLY! Tickets on sale! Due to scheduling issues this week's episode is very brief. Gary and Joy talk about Action Figures (they are NOT dolls!). Joy could have gone on and on about this topic, luckily the clock was ticking and all were spared her going into geekus-extremus. Run Time: 4:15
Aside from playing Thermonuclear War with Joshua (geek alert) Gary and Joy really love to play games. Monopoly becomes a life and death issue... not that they're competitive or anything. Of course from time to time they play other games, sometimes even video games. Come play with them... let's see who wins. Run time: 19:29
Gary and Joy do love to read. They don't always agree on genres (because Joy geeks out a lot) but sometimes they do read the same books at the same time (they're looking at you John Barrowman). Joy recently finished Wil Wheaton's JUST A GEEK so they do veer off to a little sci-fi and tv chat (I, Claudius - also a great book) but mostly they talk books from the Victorians, Shakespeare and comic books to their mutual non-interest in Hemingway. Joy's working the fabulous Kindle Gary gave her for Christmas (free classics!) and of course the library. Gary is quickly learning to love the library (Go Collette!). They'd love to know what books you love, recommend or are currently reading so leave them a comment on wdyk.typepad.com or on iTunes! Thanks for listening! Run time: 26:12
While usually blasé and unfazed by celebrity, today’s podcast finds Gary and Joy sharing stories of star gazing that expose some moments of extreme dorkishness when coming face to face with fame. Starring (in no particular order) Anthony Zerbe, Linda Ronstadt, Kate Nelligan, Tim Curry, Pierce Brosnan, Alan Rickman, Liza Minelli, Bea Arthur, and Andy Warhol. No autographs, please. Run time: 33:57
New York City, home of What Do You Know, has been bombarded with endless snow this season. To combat the cold Gary and Joy return to Mexico to warm up. Hear about their first trip to Mexico together where they have encounters at the airport, with weather, Joy's first horseback ride, a manic manatee, and some worrying beauty treaments with a terrifying force of nature named Jasmine. Run time: 17:56
Gary and Joy visit the bar that spurred Podcast #7-Speakeasy for a very special extended LIVE podcast. Celebrating Joy's birthday they are joined by the wonderful Lori (a/k/a Lola) for some adult libations and chat that is inappropriate for the kiddies, including a dissertation on female sexuality, Keely Smith, health, hypochondria, aging, spirituality and getting kicked out of bars. Run time: 54:55
Find out what really bugs Gary and Joy as they discuss bad manners and how to deal with them in true passive aggressive style. Listen for the newly coined word of the day: rudity. Run time: 17:11
Last week the podcast topic was about a lot o' skin. This week Gary and Joy talk about adding a dash of art to that skin - the non-removable kind for some, and the removable kind for others. Which of our chatty friends has tattoos and who does not. Guess before you listen and see if you're right! Run time: 16:59
We come into the world dressed in our skin, is it any wonder then that we should enjoy being without clothes? But where and when do we get down to our birthday suits and are curtains in the windows really necessary? These and other questions might be answered in today's podcast. Join us, won't you? And feel free to dress as you like. Run time: 16:09
Continuing the theme of Christmas, Joy and Gary have now opted to go from Nice to Naughty. While there is nothing lewd in this podcast, we discourage anyone under the age of 13 from listening due to the disclosure of Santa Claus secrets that are not for little ears. Hugs and kisses from Scrooge and the Grinch! Run time: 19:44
He's making a list, checking it twice, gonna find out who's naughty or nice... Well this year Gary and Joy are being a little bit of both. Today's Podcast focuses on the 'nice', particularly the nice that you can experience only in New York City. And because they're being VERY nice, they've got a special surprise waiting for you inside. Ho-Ho-Ho Tune in next week for Part II: Naughty! Run Time: 13:08
Television played a huge role in Gary and Joy's formative years. They discuss the shows that made them who they are today, reminisce about some of their favorites, disclose the origins of one of their favorite 'in jokes' and spontaneously burst into theme song silliness. Run time: 19:53
You've asked for it, you've clamored for it, now at long last Joy and Gary present: the Alligator Story. In fact there are three alligator stories and some bonus turtle talk. Surprise! Run Time: 12:58

Encounters with strange women in elevators, on buses and on stage - Debbie, we're looking at you babe. Hear about their near miss with Keely Smith and an encounter with an donkey escapee from the Island of Doctor Moreau Petting Zoo who was born for porn.
Gary is a teacher, Joy is not. Come along as they talk about Gary's class trips with Joy tagging along as 'class mother' to the zoo and aquarium, wherein we discover that Joy is really not cut out to be around children. They also discuss early reading material, the usual and the less so, and answer the age-old question: What Do Cows Eat? Run Time: 17:23
Today Gary and Joy plan a night out and talk bars, Prohibition, and even some family secrets. Run time: 11:42
From a trip to a haunted house in Salem, Massachusetts to a Broadway show, Joy and Gary talk Halloween and how it might be wise to keep you best friend far, far away during a zombie attack.
"There are a lot of expectations, that you should get great candy, that you should have an awesome costume, that you should marry a doctor..."
