In What I've Been Watching, I chat about the 2018 Jon Hamm, Catherine Keener release "Nostalgia," which I found available for viewing at the Uintah County Library in Vernal, UT. Great space, and very cool show! Hi! My name is Terry J. Aman, marking my 101st episode of VideoFuzzy, reporting the progress I've made in cataloging thousands of VHS transfers and digital recordings. First, heading toward my eighth anniversary doing this podcast, I'm trying to build some engagement. I posted an 11th installment of "VideoFuzzy: The Video - Celebrating 100 Episodes!" at https://youtu.be/eWfcCDiOZ2I. Please share as you're able to with anyone you feel might enjoy this production. Also, most of my recent episodes have posted with promos, so those are also available to share freely. And you have to scroll all the way down, but there are more general promos posted at https://videofuzzy.libsyn.com. Enjoy! This set covers discs 1801 to 1825 in my Classic Collection. For my Fuzzy Feature, from Disc 1818 I pulled up the "Parks and Recreation" second season episode "94 Meetings," and traced Cross Connections for Dan Butler, Jane McGregor, Robert Englund, Timothy Olyphant, Zeljko Ivanek, Robert Picardo, Tony Hale, John Barrowman, Diane Farr, Stephen Weber, Larry Widmore, Ted Bagley, Julie Benz, Krinstin Chenowith, Martha Plimpton, Yeardley Smith and Alex Kingston, plus from "Eli Stone" and elsewhere, I celebrate Golden Thread Loretta Devine. In my Classic Collection, I call up my 2010 "TV is the New Reading" podcast commentary on "Happy Town." David Tennant and Patrick Stewart shared the stage in a PBS "Great Performances" production of "Hamlet." Plus comments on "Doctor Who," "Fringe," "The Crying Game" from 1992, and I highlighted insights by fellow podcaster Terry Geo's "Refracted World" at Refracted World "Love is Love Legally" at https://bit.ly/3RoEg0L. Also, "Damages," "Mercy," "South Park," "The Office," "Community," "The Simpsons," OKGO on "The Colbert Report," "Minnesota Original" and on "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart," Jon hilariously simulated capping the BP oil spill. In What I've Been Watching, comments on the pilot episode of "Continuum," plus "Captain America: Brave New World," Trey Parker's "Orgazmo," the 2003 Edie Falco pilot of "Fargo," you can find a copy of that posted here: https://bit.ly/4jdNPMb. Also, Jon Hamm and Catherine Keener in the 2018 production of "Nostalgia," and the six-episode 2023 Netflix production of "Queen Charlotte." Happy viewing! TOP FIFTEEN: Here's a "Top Fifteen" episode guide for people looking for a quick read-in on this blog and podcast effort: https://videofuzzy.libsyn.com/about. Enjoy!

Then it's the short story 'The Christmas Inversion' written by Jacqueline Rayner and featuring The Third Doctor, Jo and Yates Jackie. And finally they listen to Tom Baker reading 'A Christmas Carol' by Charles Dickens. And as always answer the burning questions:Is David Tennant the next Bono? Is Santa Omnisexual? What is a Jazz pizza express?

John Barrowman became an instant hit with sci-fi fans around the world when he made his debut in Doctor Who back in 2005. His character - Captain Jack Harkness's popularity saw him become a recurring presence in the BBC series and he later took centre stage in the successful spin-off series Torchwood. He starred in superhero series Arrow - alongside finding huge success in theatre roles on Broadway and the West End. This week we've got a little extra squee for you, as Rachel shares her recap of this year's Indy PopCon event. Hello, Kinda Nerdy fans! In our latest episode, we had an absolute blast podcasting live from PopCon in Indianapolis. It was a special episode filled with laughter, heartfelt moments, and of course, all things nerdy! Joined by Tia from Geek Vibes Nation, we celebrated her first in-person appearance on the podcast, which added an extra layer of excitement to our discussions. We kicked off the episode with a fun anecdote about my less-than-stellar singing encounter with John Barrowman, setting the stage for a day filled with fandom and excitement. The episode was packed with highlights from PopCon, including our interactions with stars like Elijah Wood, Andy Serkis, and the actors from "Lord of the Rings." I shared a particularly memorable moment from the Andy Serkis panel, where he revealed the unexpected inspiration behind Gollum's voice—a cat having a hairball! We also delved into our fundraising efforts for Indie Neighborhood Cats, featuring exclusive "Lord of the Rings" art cards, and discussed the incredible array of activities available at PopCon, from gaming panels with the voices behind Red Dead Redemption and GTA V to unexpected delights like darts and wrestling. Our discussions were peppered with personal stories and reflections on how PopCon brings different fandoms together in a unique and inclusive way. We wrapped up the episode feeling grateful for the community, the shared passions, and the new memories we created. Thank you to everyone who joined us live, and for those who missed it, be sure to catch up on this unforgettable episode. Until next time, stay kinda nerdy!
There are so many sides to this song, from the brilliant writing, to the cultural obsession with the secrets behind it, and a huge cast of eligible narcissists ready to play their part. You're So Vain, originally by Carly Simon, covered by Liza Minnelli, Faster Pussycat, and John Barrowman. Yes, we needed this many versions of it to get to the bottom of things. Outro music is 1987 by Steel Panther, and they are so good.
Join us as we once again, whizz through our thoughts and feelings on Doctor Who series of the past! This time the feast on offer is Series 3. The Doctor continues his travels with another Doctor, our real Queen Martha Jones as they face new and returning villains, such as the Daleks, Family of Blood and whatever John Barrowman keeps in his trousers, oh the Master's also in this one.
In the latest episode of Too Hot For TV Dylan is joined by Martyn Havell. Together they look at two Big Finish spin offs from very different eras of Doctor Who. First up is Jago & Litefoot & Strax: The Haunting written by Justin Richards. The second story they look at is Torchwood: Broken by Joseph Lidster and Starring John Barrowman Gareth David-Lloyd. And as always they answer the bringing questions: Whose first experience of Doctor Who was Zagraus ?When did Martyn first see boobs? Which Doctor is a sex pest?Who shot a monkey thinking it was a french man ?
Utopia. Has there ever been a more apt episode title? Is this is as good as Doctor Who gets because I think it might be. It's another alternative holiday movie! This time, neo noir caper from Shane Black Kiss Kiss Bang Bang. Melissa regrets this choice. When you're trying too hard to be cool. Shane Black is actually trying to be able to sit at the cool kids' table. Andy makes three major mistakes: Manute Bol is not Wilt Chamberlain. Deadwood is not Tombstone. Charles Grodin is not John Lithgow. He promises to take his brain pills before next episode. Recasting with John Barrowman or Matt Bomer? This movie vs. The Nice Guys. When Doctor Who relaunched in 2005 on the BBC after a failed (but serviceable) Fox US movie/pilot barely a decade earlier, many of us didn't know what to expect. We didn't expect Christopher Eccleston, and we certainly didn't expect Russel T Davies and his eccentric touch, but both rocketed the franchise into a new golden age the likes of which could only have been imagined by fans of the classic series. Vinnk and Sean, along with guest host Miles (from sister podcast Casual Trek) relive the reboot, ostensibly without the benefit of rose-colored glasses, and not at all influenced by RTD's return to the remade franchise nearly two decades later in 2023. Starring: * Christopher Eccleston - The Doctor * Billie Piper - Rose Tyler * John Barrowman - Captain Jack Harkness * Noel Clarke - Mickey Smith * Camille Coduri - Jackie Tyler Available on HBO Max (for now), Amazon, BritBox, and Disney+ (eventually). Bill and Helen from When One Thing Leads to Another podcast return to Flixwatcher remotely to review Bill's choice Zero Dark Thirty. Zero Dark Thirty is a 2012 dramatisation of the international manhunt for Osama bin Laden post 9/11. It's impressive cast includes Jessica Chastain, Jason Clarke, Jennifer Ehle, Mark Strong, Kyle Chandler, James Gandolfini, Harold Perrineau, Mark Duplass, Joel Edgerton, Chris Pratt, Jeremy Strong and John Barrowman. Directed by Kathryn Bigelow and written by The Hurt Locker collaborator Mark Boal it earned widespread critical acclaim and was a box office success. In the hunt for bin Laden, CIA analyst Maya (Chastain) Harris visits the interrogation (torture) of detainees with suspected links to al-Qaeda with CIA officer Dan (Clarke) Fuller. During this time she is given the name Abu Ahmed, which at first appears to be a dead end but a chance conversation years later reveals that Abu Ahmed may be alive and his brother is dead. With this lead confirmed surveillance points to a compound where bin Laden is assumed to be hiding. Ten years after its release Zero Dark Thirty still remains a tense fictionalised version of real events and this was reflected in the recommendability scores. With a runtime of over two and half hours scores for repeat viewing were much lower and gives Zero Dark Thirty an overall score of 3.77 [supsystic-tables id=283] Episode #271 Crew Links Thanks to Episode #271 Crew of Helen and Bill from When One Thing Leads to Another Find their Websites online at https://www.whenonethingleadstoanother.com/ Please make sure you give them some love More about Zero Dark Thirty For more info on Zero Dark Thirty, you can visit Zero Dark Thirty IMDb page here or Zero Dark Thirty Rotten Tomatoes page here. Topics include (and these are not typos) what type of gay coffee each one would be, find out the angry comment Matteo got when he simply posted a video of himself making spaghetti carbonara and what it's like meeting Mariah Carey vs. almost meeting Mariah Carey. All that plus Matteo shares his inspirational journey as a gay stand-up, where he found the ability to be funny and of course, what Pride means to him. It's so much fun you may want to listen twice.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Most women experience sexual harassment in the workplace. It's a given that if you have breasts someone is going to comment on them. And sometimes not saying anything and just going along feels like the easier option - and also the best way to not get labeled a killjoy sourpuss who hates fun. So when your adorable and sweet coworker takes his willy out to wag it about and chase you with it...well he's laughing and it's in public and other people are laughing so it's not sexual harassment but clearly a joke. It's "what he's known for" and everyone knows it is "his thing" to hang out naked or flash his d*ck (not duck) at friends because hahahahahaha d*cks are funny when you aren't expecting them. Yet jokes can go to far, and as John Barrowman has recently discovered, d*ck jokes are distasteful (sorry) and not to be touched (sorry) and that's just the long and short (sorry) of it.
