Life in Aldovia is never peaceful, but today things will be truly chaotic. A Carefully planned wedding teeter on the edge of collapse. Street magicians turned assassins plan against a terrifying foe. Numerous laws, both human and avian, are egregiously broken. The only forces that can prevent utter catastrophe amount to a gullible groundskeeper, an undead raven, and sheer, dumb luck. In the grand city of Aldovia, trouble is brewing. Street magicians Woccam and Toccam scheme and lie their way towards fame and fortune in the cut-throat world of improv magic, while the foolishly enthusiastic friends Jubble and Baum plan a sham wedding to commit... tax fraud? Oh, and did I mention that Woccam is a bird? And improv comedy grants diplomatic immunity? Just roll with it, trust me, it's all going to be juuust fine. So, y'all, we couldn't say we got through Christmas 2018 without bringing you our very special recap of the Netflix sequel, A Christmas Prince: The Royal Wedding. Amber (ugh yes, that's still her name) and Richard are back to not only get married but save the Aldovian kingdom from financial ruin. Of course, we had to bring back our favorite guest, Ashley Proctor, to judge and snark along with us through this ridiculous second act. Richard is now King, remember? No, we know you forgot. We kept forgetting too. Anyway, Aldovians are losing their jobs and they are "royally" pissed, hehe, and Richard can't just jet off to the Amalfi Coast during these types of crises, he's got to stick it out in the kingdom and start finally reviewing these budgets. Meanwhile, it's wedding season and Amber and crew - Dad and friends in tow - are navigating the importance of lifestyle blogs, dress fittings, AND this financial situation that is plaguing Richard's new king...ship? Not sure that's a word. Oh and Simon - last movie's attempted-crown-stealing cousin - is back to help this time and totally vibing with Amber's hottie friend from NYC. We decided we like it. Anyway, take a listen and laugh at this crazy trip to the royal altar with an investigative twist! Y'all better buckle up because drunk Santa is driving this podcast sleigh this week. In this very special episode of Netflix, What Have You Done? Christmas Edition, we're airing our grievances about The Christmas Chronicles and A Christmas Prince 2: The Royal Wedding. But it's not just DTF Santa and Aldovian wedding planning over here at Hatewatch HQ. Somehow, this episode takes us from Chris Columbus The Entity to JC Chasez's discography, desperate pleas to Ron Moore, and even a very special Hugh Grant deep cut (Hugh, where were you in Mamma Mia 2: Here We Go Again!????).
