Fáilte ar ais chuig eagrán nua de Ar An Lá Seo ar an 26ú lá de mí Lúnasa, liomsa Lauren Ní Loingsigh. I 1981 tháinig clann le dhá pháiste saor ó thine a tharla ina tí. I 1998 bhí plean ann chun 150 bus nua a bheith ann agus córas dairt níos fearr leis an chostas de 150 milliúin punt. Bhí an plean ann chun an trácht a laghdú I mBaile Átha Cliath. I 2001 bhí imní ann I dTiobraid Árann Thuaidh de bharr caighdeán an uisce mar go raibh cúpla eachtra truailliú. Tharla sé sna abhainn san Aonach Urmhumhan agus Ros Cré. Chuir an chomhairle coisc ar dhaoine snámh I Lough Derg chomh maith. I 2008 bhuaigh bean ón bPort Rua Aoife Kelly an Rose Of Tralee an bhliain sin. Tháinig sí amach ar barr nuair a dúirt daoine go raibh sí an Rose is fearr. Bhí sí an chéad bhuaiteoir ón chontae riamh. Sin Beyoncé le Crazy In Love – an t-amhrán is mó ar an lá seo I 2003. Ag lean ar aghaidh le nuacht cheoil ar an lá seo I 1965 chuaigh Sonny & Cher chuig uimhir a haon sa Bhreatain lena hamhrán I Got You Babe agus bhí sé seo a t-aon uimhir a haon sa Bhreatain riamh. I 1970 tharla cóisir I Nua Eabhrac chun ceiliúradh a dhéanamh den oscailt den stiúideo Electric Ladyland. Agus ar deireadh breithlá daoine cáiliúla ar an lá seo rugadh aisteoir Melissa McCarthy I Meiriceá I 1970 agus rugadh aisteoir Macaulay Culkin I Meiriceá ar an lá seo I 1980 agus seo chuid de na rudaí a rinne sé. Beidh mé ar ais libh amárach le heagrán nua de Ar An Lá Seo. Welcome back to another edition of Ar An Lá Seo on the 26th of August, with me Lauren Ní Loingsigh 1981: A young Dublin couple and their 2 children had a naroow escape as fire swept through their home 1998: an extra 150 busses and a better dart system were part of a £150m plan to tackle dublins traffic problem. 2001 - Concern was growing over water quality throughout North Tipperary following a series of pollution incidents. Pollution spills were detected in rivers at Nenagh and Roscrea, and a water supply in the Silvermines has been contaminated. Also, fears of contamination of the water supply in Newport led to it being shut down, a ban ona swimming was placed on Lough Derg. 2008 - Portroe girl Aoife Kelly's triumph at the 2008 Rose of Tralee International Festival. Aoife justified the bookies' favouritism to emerge as overall winner in a tense conclusion of the week-long festival, becoming the first ever Tipperary Rose of Tralee. That was Beyonce with Crazy In Love – the biggest song on this day in 2003 Onto music news on this day In 1965 Sonny & Cher were at No.1 on the UK singles chart with 'I Got You Babe', the duo's only UK No.1. 1970 A party was held to celebrate the official opening of 'Electric Ladyland' studios in New York City, New York. And finally celebrity birthdays on this day – actress Melissa McCarthey was born in America in 1970 and actor Macaulay Culkin was born in America on this day in 1980 and this is some of the stuff he has done. Find Your Dream Job: Insider Tips for Finding Work, Advancing your Career, and Loving Your Job
Check out the podcast on Macslist here: (https://www.macslist.org/?post_type=podcasts&p=16242&preview=true) A successful job search starts with self-knowledge, not sending out applications. According to Find Your Dream Job guest Aoife O'Brien, many job seekers make the mistake of jumping into similar roles after feeling unhappy at work, only to land in the same situation again. Aoife's "Know, Show, Grow" framework encourages starting with three core pillars: values – what truly matters to you beyond a paycheck; needs – what keeps you motivated day to day; strengths – what energizes you and comes naturally. Without this foundation, you risk repeating the cycle of unfulfilling jobs. Aoife also recommends showing your value by tying your strengths to real business outcomes from past roles. Instead of applying everywhere, focus on opportunities that align with your authentic self, and submit fewer, better applications. About Our Guest: Aoife O'Brien is the founder of Happier at Work. In this episode, Niall dives into one of the most heated discussions in Ireland today: Should the Constitution be changed to guarantee every citizen the right to housing?Broadcasting live, Niall opens the lines to callers from across the country—and the opinions couldn't be more divided. Some callers strongly support the idea:“Housing should be a basic right, not a privilege,” says Mary from Galway. “People are living in tents while buildings lie empty. It's time the government was held accountable.”Others warn of unintended consequences:“If you write this into the Constitution, you're opening the floodgates,” argues Declan in Dublin. “It'll lead to endless legal battles and strain public finances even more.”And some are torn:“I believe everyone deserves a home, but I'm not sure a constitutional change is the best way to fix a broken system,” admits Aoife from Cork.Through respectful debate, passionate views, and tough questions, Niall guides listeners through the legal, moral, and practical sides of a constitutional right to housing.Whether you're firmly for it, completely against it, or just trying to make sense of it all—this episode is a must-listen.

Okay, we won't lie. That episode was a marathon.Yes, it was too good to stop, and in fairness, we didn't want to stop either. But the weight of what did, didn't, and almost happened left us emotionally and physically drained. Worth it? Absolutely. This was a true reunion, for both players and characters, and the Newly Dead came back together in the only way they know how: dealing (and taking) a healthy dose of damage. At least they weren't fighting each other this time, right? In this episode of Action Surge, Harry guides his tired little soldiers through an episode full of death, barters, secrets, and desperation to break down what might be our most impressive team-building exercise to date. (Though Hollie is still convinced Elowen could've taken him if it came down to it. And it almost did.)Now that the party's reunited, it's time to start trading secrets. Aoife opens up about Dolly and Reliquiae's most toxic ex-boyfriend, while Alex insists certain details stay under wraps, for now, to give them the space they need to breathe…and, in some cases, to grieve.Ben, as ever, has thoughts about hit points and how much he enjoys having them just so he can lose them. Oh, and there's nothing quite like a Chromatic Orb finally hitting and bouncing. In his defence, it was incredibly satisfying! And is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's Kelnys, whose incredible dragon wings and third level healing spells just about kept the team on their feet. Well almost. A few still hit the deck. Someone's got to help pick up the pieces, right Doug?Speaking of decks, the cards once again proved they are absolutely not what anyone expects. But hey, at least we managed to avoid adding a new edition to the pack.Oh, and what can we say? Crafted Campaigns has once again outdone themselves. And we're pretty sure both Elowen and I would agree: the thought of running up and down the stairs in that place again is, quite frankly, exhausting. Hosted on Acast.
