ABOUT STUCK ON CHRISTMAS The competition for a major promotion is heating up between Synclaire and James, two ambitious rivals whose professional antagonism has spilled over into playful (and not-so-playful) pranks. But when a sudden malfunction leaves them both stranded in the company elevator on Christmas Eve, their race for the top becomes a desperate struggle for freedom. She says no. We then get a really long intro of James and Sinclair waking up in the morning. He is in a very good mood. Today is the big day at work. He's getting that promotion baby! Sinclair shows up late for work, like always. But she also really wants that promotion. Their boss comes in. She brings everyone in who is up for the promotion and tells them who the top two are. It's James and Sinclair. She calls them both into her office and tells them it's crunch time. Whoever is most likable at the Christmas party will get that promotion. They make a wager that whoever loses has to be the other person's assistant. This leads to prank time such as putting sticky notes on the bottom of him and his best friend's mugs that makes it look like they're in love, spiking their tacos with laxatives. But they get them back with...FART SPRAY!!! They all go home to clean up and Sinclair realizes that she still needs to shop for her secret Santa who is...uh oh, JAMES! The party happens. It's a good time. James goes to leave and ends up getting on the elevator at the same time as Sinclair. And the elevator ends up getting stuck! They end up getting mutually turned on by each other when they have to take off their jackets & sweaters because it's hot. They drink, they play games, and they end up kissssingggggg. They end up getting out I think and they have, let's say romantic dreams, about each other. But uh oh there's a knock on her door and... it's her ex! AHHHH! The next day or so at work, she gets the promotion but he's not mad. Cut to the beginning of the movie with the proposal again. It's James proposing to Sinclair. She says no. When Bobby lands in Atlanta, he goes to this bar and meets a woman named Harmony Davis and then proceeds to get super drunk. He shows up at his ex-wife Alicia's house and crashes. The next day, Alicia surprises Billy and her fiancé Chris by bringing them both to a dance class. Luckily for Billy, Harmony is there, so he sticks around and scores a dinner date. Billy starts being nice and that starts freaking Chris out. Maybe Alicia is falling for Billy again. To make matters worse, the kids' flights keep getting cancelled. He goes out to an art museum with Harmony and has a great time and they end up kissingggggg. He ends up inviting her to Christmas dinner...at his ex-wife's house. The kids FINALLY get there and turns out Haley is dating Bobby. What a twist. Billy makes up with his son who he's had a rocky relationship with since the divorce. They all sit down for dinner as one family and Billy opens up his phone to delete the wedding picture he had on his phone of him and Alicia. To help him, he will be visited by three spirits throughout the night. Scrooge is like whatever and falls asleep. He is woken up by the ghost of Christmas past. It's Eva Longoria, DUH! She projects images of where he grew up in Africa with his best friend Akiiki. We see him and his family learn the news that all Asians must leave the country within 90 days. Scrooge is forced to watch his father die and other bad stuff. But it's not all bad. We see him at his first job, falling in love, proposing. But her parents don't believe he will be able to financially support their daughter. So Scrooge is like just wait and see. I'll show you! Scrooge starts a business and refuses to help his first boss, Mr. Fezziwig, when he asked him to help him. He shows up a year later, shows that he has money to her parents but she isn't interested because she learned about how he treated Fezziwig. She shows him what happened to her but he's not interested. He insists that he regrets nothing! It's time for the ghost of Christmas present! He's fun. He's funky. He's Billy Porter. He shows him the Cratchit house on Christmas who is discussing Scrooge. Bob says he's just sick. Something is broken inside of him. Then he sees his nephew at a Christmas party, mocking Scrooge, and dancing big. Suddenly, the ghost of Christmas future. Obviously, it's Boy George. And he is joined by Billy Porter for a duet while Eva Longoria stands there awkwardly. He discovers his death, but more importantly the death of Tiny Tim. He promises he will change. He wakes up and it's Christmas. HE DIDN'T MISS IT! He goes to give money to everyone. And they all meet up to celebrate at the Christmas carnival. So he's really mad about it so he drives to his buddy Allen's house. He has a request for him - will you work at my hotel for 2 weeks and work alongside her - run interference so I don't have to be around her? He pushes back because he doesn't want to take 2 weeks off of work but ultimately gives in. He starts to like her and they end up going on a date. One date leads to another date which leads to a kiss. Jeff starts getting jealous - he wants her to keep liking him even though he's not interested because he's a psycho. So he texts her to go to a movie and she says sure and then asks if Allen is coming. So he says yes. But at the movie, he tries to hold her hand. She's not interested. She holds Allen's hand instead. The next day, Allen tells Mia the truth about how he was only hired to run interference which makes her mad. He goes after her and tells her he loves her and they kiss. Jeff is forced to move on and says hi to the next girl who walks into the hotel. Who knows what'll happen next. They start hanging out though cuz he's hot and she keeps having to come up with excuses for why certain things are happening because she doesn't want him to find out it's her. Unfortunately, he pieces it together and captures it on video. He gives her a chance to come clean and she asks him to please not publish the article. It would ruin the tradition. He does publish the article, but not outing her as the Secret Santa. Flash forward a year and they're still together, she's opening up a Secret Santa office to expand into other cities and her and Adrian are gonna get married! So she called up her gay best friend to have him come and act like her boyfriend to make Richard mad.We find out that Marissa & Kerry are actually step sisters - Marissa's mom married Kerry's dad shortly after her dad passed away and Marissa has always been pretty mad about it.One night, Marissa and Richard are able to talk and he promises that when he was with her, he and Kerry were on a break.Richard is like next in line in his father's doctor practice thing and Kerry is always like you need to go ahead and make that official but Marissa is always like you do what you wanna do.Well, one night, everything blows up. It comes out that Richard isn't going to follow in his dad's footsteps and Kerry isn't mad and he's like Marissa always supported me. So now everyone knows. And everyone is fighting. While that's happening, Alicia and Kyle are also fighting because she thinks he's cheating on her with a girl who is texting him. Turns out, it's just his therapist checking up on him because he apparently has yet to tell his wife that he has ED. And now the entire family knows. It's a mess.Ultimately, Richard scrams, the sisters make up, Kerry quits her job because she doesn't want her family to sell the church that brings them so much joy, Alicia and Kyle make up, and everyone has a merry Christmas. She's a nurse who volunteers every Christmas. While getting the cookies out of the back of her car, she slips and almost falls — but is saved by a hot doctor named Brian. He's a cardiologist.Brian's sister also works at the hospital and is very pregnant. Brian is shocked to learn that Alice is a doctor too — an OBGYN, in fact. He keeps trying to find out more about her, but she's a closed book. He does discover, however, that she has four job offers that would take her out of town in the new year… but no one else knows.Brian's sister goes into labor and gives birth right as the clock strikes midnight. A Christmas baby! She immediately gets to work trying to set up her brother and Alice.But honestly, that doesn't seem likely after Brian accidentally lets it slip that Alice is planning to leave the hospital in the new year.Meanwhile, another woman who brought her son in after he bonked his head ends up going into labor with twins. What a day.Alice and Brian start hanging out more during their downtime. Another pregnant woman tries to get to the hospital, but the roads are bad, so she stops at a bakery with its lights still on. Coincidentally, the people inside are the couple planning to adopt her baby. With help from a tow truck driver, they all make it to the hospital, and she gives birth.Everyone chips in to make sure all the patients and staff get a nice Christmas breakfast.Alice decides she's not taking any of the out-of-town jobs — she's sticking around.
