This one is for all you software engineers. This is my friend, Charlie Yang, an engineer who has been asking the Holy Spirit if he has strategies for the nuts and bolts of his work in writing and fixing software. And you know what? He does. Check it out as we explore some of the ways the Holy Spirit is leading Charlie outside of church. If you'd like to partner with me to help this podcast continue to happen, go to www.church-withoutwalls.org/donate. I'm excited to share this conversation with my new friend, Charlie Yang. Charlie works in the tech industry and was happy to finish out there. He shares how God has been moving him from being the "most okay Christian ever" to a Spirit led Kingdom life, as well as his resistance along the way. Beginning with honest prayers and moving toward praying for others, the Holy Spirit has been empowering Charlie in beautiful ways.
Part 2/2 of our recording with Charlie! This one is a little less about dota, and a little bit more about shitting in the woods. Naturally.
Charlie Yang is Back talking with Cap and Leaf about all the dota. All the minor qualifier stories of teams dropping out, and the delay that Corona is putting on the Chinese teams. Also, the potential new DPC season schedule, and what that may mean for Tier 1 and Tier 2 dota in 2020.
Charlie Yang (former EG / Speed.int manager and TI analysis) sits down with Cap & Leaf to take a look into the more, well, cynical side of esports. The boys get a real insider's perspective on the business of teams, twitch, and what may be problematic in the scene as it continues to grow.
In the fifth episode of Position Six I talked to Charlie Yang, one of the first proper professional team managers in DOTA, who's worked with pretty much everybody who's anybody in the DOTA scene in one way or another. We talked about the problems, and what's right with, esports, the greatest players he's worked with, crab fishing and what being a team manager actually means. WHAT’S UP GAMERS? On this GAMERS-ONLY episode of Movie Buffed, Dan, Dakota and special GAMER guest, Charlie Yang discuss 2018’s biggest licensing nightmare/pop-cultural Frankenstein, Ready Player One. Did it live up to the hype? Was Ninja correct when he tweeted “if you are a gamer you will love this movie”? No. No he wasn’t. But hey, this episode’s got a neopets discussion that no one asked for, a ~sensual~ dramatic reading of Ernest Cline’s early work, and Charlie being mad about stuff. Follow us on Twitter @BTSpods! Charlie Yang had a late night at the office but still managed to join Cyphus for another DotP One on One. From his office at Twitch, Charlie talks about leaving Evil Geniuses, his time as a manager with him, the state of affairs for esports, his personal history, and tells a couple of hilarious stories that may or may not involve Arteezy's penis. Note: Please forgive the audio. Charlie was at his office recording with us.
Charlie Yang, manager of Evil Geniuses, and Greg "Gerg" Laird, founder of High Ground TV, join Cyphus and Roland for a talk about their latest event: The Town. The Town featured a number of the top Dota 2 personalities all gathered together at the Beyond the Summit house for an entertaining round of Mafia games. Find out how everyone did, how to play and more in the latest episode of the Dota 2 podcast!
