Today, we dive into the hard-won lessons of digital transformation with Tovi Heilbronn, former digital lead at Harry Rosen and Principal Consultant at Uncork Solutions. From fragile monoliths and business-IT friction to a MACH-powered rebuild that reshaped the customer experience, Tovi shares how his team turned a retail crisis into a strategic breakthrough. He breaks down how they secured executive buy-in, rebuilt trust across departments, and launched both a next-gen ecommerce platform and a clienteling app that brought relationship selling into the digital age. If you're navigating legacy systems, struggling to align business and tech, or trying to scale without drowning in tech debt, this episode is a masterclass in doing it right the first time and maintaining it for the long haul. Tovi also shares why the real value of transformation starts before a single line of code is written, and how upstream strategy can make or break your velocity.
David Guetta était à L'orange Vélodrome de Marseille ce weekend pour son Monolith tour, retrouvez l'interview enregistré par Antoine Baduel quelque minute avant l'évènement
"As Johns watched in astonishment, the object began moving toward the front porch. He could clearly see two sides of it as it approached. As the top passed under the eaves, the bottom bent backwards over the bushes which border the 71-cm high porch, in the manner of a man's leg bending at the knee, forming an obtuse angle. At this point, he lost sight of it, grabbed his .38 handgun, and quickly went to the windows."Audio support for this episode was provided by Truckstop Dave.Shownotes:-The Kentucky Monolith on Unusual Kentucky Blogspothttp://unusualkentucky.blogspot.com/2009/07/kentucky-monolith.html?m=1 -Truckstop Dave on Jamendohttps://www.jamendo.com/artist/349109/truckstopdave -Ransom Letter Publishing Youtube Channel https://youtube.com/channel/UCbSPcYF4tS4LqjMj_l0Qf2g
Face the Music: An Electric Light Orchestra Song-By-Song Podcast
Kansas, after working hard for years, finally had a top-five hit with "Dust in the Wind" from their 1977 album Point of Know Return. Thinking it was time to move away from the progressive sound they had nurtured over the course of their career, they went about producing Monolith themselves, pursuing a more commercial sound.
Xbox has announced a multi-year partnership with AMD to power their next-gen consoles. We speculate and discuss whether Microsoft will make their own Xbox handheld and if it will run Xbox games come next-gen's debut.CDPR is focusing on developing The Witcher 4 on console hardware in order to help with scaling. After their last disastrous release of Cyberpunk 2077 this may come as a comfort to console gamers running the PS5 and above. An impressive demo was shown off of The Witcher 4 running on the PS5 at 60fps. We speculate on whether the game will release before the PS6 comes out and whether the console-first approach is a wise idea. This week's Gaming Fun Fact focused on Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction and how it started out life not as Mercenaries, but instead as a sequel to 1992's Desert Strike. This also marks one year of our Gaming Fun Facts segment on the show!Later in the episode in the Query Corner Question we ask which game mechanics you'd like applied to a different game/genre. For example, would you like Monolith's nemesis system applied to an entirely different genre or game franchise?
In part 2 of my four-part series on 2001, I am going through the TMA-1 (Tycho Magnetic Anomaly One) sequence in which Dr. Haywood Floyd of "The Council" visits the International Space Station, diverts some Russian scientist attentions, presents a specious, US Governmental coverup of the Clavius discovery to a group of cowed committee members, and then embarks to Clavius base on the Moon to visit the Monolith. This sequence famously uses Johann Strauss' 'The Blue Danube' as well as additional modern pieces by Ligeti. Here's the hilarious video making fun of the exposition scenes in the latest Mission Impossible movie. Tom, we kid because we love! Check out my totally free newsletter. Microcosmos Records is pleased to present Phobos by EDD-989. EDD-989 is a project by Eduard Korkin from St.Petersburg, Russia. Eduard has been in love with music since childhood, he started his musical journey playing with analog electronic sound. Then, he tried various music styles, and in 2011 he began producing psychedelic chillout. In 2018, after the release of his first album, he acquired the status of a recognizable artist in space ambient and chillout. Phobos is notable for the density of its sound. When listening to it, it feels like being enveloped in a soft cozy blanket. Analog synthesizers and acoustic percussion create warm and vast soundscapes. The theme of the Space, which is traditional for EDD-989, develops finely in the album: the Space here is a natural environment for the listener to feel confident and calm. Distant stars, meteorites, planets, and satellites are painted with rich sound colors, in a friendly manner they invite the listener to join a joyful and breathtaking cosmic round dance. Turn on Phobos, immerse yourself in soft sound waves, and set out on a relaxing interstellar journey on a comfortable spaceship with the captain of EDD-989 and the Microcosmos Records team.

First we hit on a few current events, including a new monolith outside of Las Vegas and a "shadow" CDC website fake. Sharon Hill joins us again, this time to discuss her new "Pop Cryptid Spectator" and all the delightful cryptidabelia that inspires it. She's noticed a rise in paranormal thinking when it comes to cryptids, as opposed to the old-school zoological framing. How has the internet fed into cryptid spread as well as evolution? She also notes that any cryptozoological gatekeepers are now long gone, so it's a wild heyday of "anything goes" as cryptids turn into blobby, cute versions of their old selves and even Skibidi Toilet has a chance at being labelled a cryptid. We touch on snack foods, movies, games, town mascots, and festivals like Pennsylvania's "Squonkapalooza."

Make sure to check out his YouTube channel here. https://www.youtube.com/c/jacksonjetsetting Episode Description: As a reminder you can watch this show as well at: http://www.YouTube.com/milestomemories This week we learned that another piece of Vegas history will be getting demolished soon. While the Caesars Palace rotunda may be an afterthought at this point, it was once a grand entrance to the property. With it sitting around so much undeveloped land, what could Caesars be planning and should they keep this piece of Vegas history? In other news the A's are for sale or at least a piece of them is. What is the team worth and will this ensure that they can build their ballpark on the Vegas Strip? We also discuss: casino bar light systems, the mainstream media fighting against Vegas prices, GVR's confusing upgrade offers, UNLV's hockey championship, how Rio fixed one of their big issues and why Las Vegas is one of the top pizza cities in the US. 0:00 March madness Vegas IV 0:58 Another mysterious monolith appears in Vegas 2:37 The death of free drinks at casino bars 4:45 Athletics for sale - $2 billion valuation? 6:55 Bringing some of the Trop into the new stadium? 7:23 A casino good samaritan! 8:23 UNLV hockey national champions! 9:32 Rio fixes player's club line issues 11:15 Las Vegas one of the top pizza cities? 13:24 GVR's very confusing hotel upcharges 16:03 Mainstream media finally covering Vegas cost blowback 19:00 Caesars Palace demolishing a piece of history 22:07 Mark Jackson's recent favorite Vegas experiences Each week tens of thousands of people tune into our MtM Vegas news shows at http://www.YouTube.com/milestomemories. What if the very quality that makes those early, intoxicating moments of romance so vibrant—the spontaneous weekend getaway, the surprise bouquet of flowers—later becomes the source of relationship friction? The human brain, particularly one wired with ADHD, contains multitudes of contradictions, and nowhere is this more evident than in how impulsivity shapes our intimate partnerships. This week on the show, relationship expert Melissa Orlov peels back the layers of impulsive behavior in ADHD relationships with Pete Wright and Nikki Kinzer. Pete's personal confession—renting a convertible for a romantic coastal drive during courtship, then later purchasing an entire car during what should have been a routine oil change—illuminates the Jekyll-and-Hyde nature of impulsivity that Melissa has observed in thousands of couples."It came from somewhere," Melissa notes of impulsive words and actions that wound our partners. But where? The answer lies in a neurological tightrope walk between present-moment reward and long-term relationship consequences. The ADHD partner experiences the euphoria of now, while their significant other bears witness to the aftermath, creating an asymmetrical emotional experience that compounds over time. What of verbal impulsivity—those cutting remarks that can never be unsaid? Melissa offers a revelation that ADHD partners are "blessed with the ability to move on quickly," while non-ADHD partners ruminate, creating relationship dissonance long after the moment has passed.Let us take our cues from Melissa's "verbal cues," pattern interrupters in relationship conflict. The deliberate absurdity of an agreed-upon word like "hamburger" or "aardvark" serves as a circuit breaker during emotional escalation—a linguistic tool that transcends the heat of argument to preserve relationship integrity. It's a Safe Word, but for your ADHD.This is an invitation to understand how neurological differences fundamentally shape our perception of time, commitment, and connection—and how awareness of these differences might just be the greatest relationship skill we can develop.Links & NotesADHD MarriageIntent to Action Membership ProgramThe ADHD Effect on MarriageThe Couple's Guide to Thriving with ADHDSupport the Show on PatreonDig into the podcast Shownotes Database (00:00) - Welcome to The ADHD Podcast (00:39) - Support the Show! Landing a celebrity to star in your game is usually a huge deal - but like a lot of things, celebrities can go bad over time, turning their games into weird cultural artifacts with unpleasant associations. This week, Anthony Abatte joins us to talk about five games with stars who probablly seemed like a great idea at the time, after which we'll get into Street Cleaner 3, Steam Next Fest, Monolith's closure, and the games you'd like to see do a pirate-themed sequel. Question of the Week: With Steam Next Fest launching a ton of demos onto the service, do you typically play demos to sample games, or do you just jump right in and buy ones you're interested in? (And did you have a favorite from Next Fest?) Break song is Although the Sky by Dorkus64. Vidjagame Apocalypse theme by Matthew Joseph Payne.
Can we turn the video game industry off and on again? Sadly, we kick off this week's podcast with Cado, Patrick, Janet, and Rob having a lengthy discussion about the collapse of Monolith, the deeper rot at Warner Bros. Games, and how generational shifts in video game habits may be, in part, to blame. We also chat about the games we've been enjoying in the latest Steam Next Fest, why Patrick's bounced off Monster Hunter Wilds, Janet's extended time in Lost Records: Bloom & Rage, and Rob's journeys with Quickbooks customer support. Oh, and Patrick has one hell of a story of how Cado ended up solving a technical problem for him.Discussed: Monolith Production and Multiversus studio closed 1:23, Console Buyers Are Getting Older 42:41, Patrick's UPS Story 59:53, Steam Next Fest 1:16:53, Monster Hunter Wilds 1:43:24, Bloom and Rage 1:54:41, The American Revolution Game with the Musket People 2:05:54, Quickbooks 2:09:10, The Question Bucket 2:12:31, Outro and Announcements 2:47:41See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
