Many Christians speak fondly of the moment when they accepted Christ as their Savior and the days that followed after it. It seems like many of us who became sold out for Christ later in life were eager to hit the streets telling everyone about Him. In these moments our lights are burning bright, a visible representation of the fire and passion we've developed for the Lord as a result of the sacrifice He's given. But at some point our shining beacons start to dim. Despite being called cities on a hill, situations come that spark in us a desire to be hidden. Suddenly, content with our own salvation in God, we stop trying to bring about someone else's. In some instances, bound by guilt and shame we even begin to doubt our own salvation or, the most tragic of all, burdened by the problems of this world we turn away from God completely and become children of darkness. If we know this is possible, how do we prevent it? How do we stay "lit" for Christ? Tune in to this week's episode to get an answer to that question! Our life is not just about us. We are here to light up the world. We are here on assignment.
