Co-hosts Cathy Endebrock, Kerri Brinkoeter, and Marlene McMichael discuss key points of the message Dr. Robert Jeffress presented at the Governor's Prayer Breakfast at Kalahari Resort in April. Specifically, as Christians, we must have a plan for what Jesus has asked us to do. We have a savings plan for college tuition and/or for retirement in order to have the necessary resources when needed. In much the same way, we must have a deliberate plan to do God's work. He calls us to be both salt (flavoring the fallen world with His Spirit) AND light (shining His light in the darkness). Join the Ladies of LoveTalk Network as they discuss how to Stay Salty and Shine Bright.

Part of being a truly radiant person is to learn how to shine bright, yet without that pesky ego getting in the way. Many times you hear about people who “suck all the oxygen out of the room” or others who feel destined to be a wallflower forever. And in both scenarios, I find it fascinating that these are fear-based perceptions… Comparing yourself to others is the quickest way to dim your own light inside. So how do we avoid this fear loop and instead show up to life as our full, vibrant selves? My all-star special guest today is Sarah Hagstrom and she's simplifying how to shine bright and reclaim your radiance. Her personal story battling with chronic pain, digestive issues, overworking and people pleasing is one that I'm sure many of us have grappled with at some point in our own lives. The good news is… it doesn't have to be your “forever story.” Sarah shows us a better way to do less and focus on the things in life that truly light you up… and as she puts it, she teaches us to remember the simple phrase of “let's try easier” to help you lighten the load when things feel heavy, stressful or overwhelming. It seems that the secret to radiance is here, too. Here's how. My all-star special guest today is Sarah Hagstrom and she's simplifying how to shine bright. We tackle and simplify all aspects of it, including: Some insight into her childhood and how that affected her health as an adult - what she did to reverse the chronic pain and tackle the digestion issues once and for all What she means when she says “prune for progress” to reclaim your radiance and to truly live your purpose When we realize nothing is “good or bad” or “right or wrong” in life, how that simple, yet profound truth helps us shine brighter How to put an end to “people-pleasing” tendencies and focus more on doing the things that truly light you up first …and ultimately, she shares simple, practical tips that have helped her live with more grace, ease and flow both personally and professionally. I am a firm believer that when we each do the inner work like this, tackling the deep-rooted identity anchors that we dropped down when we were a child that helped us understand who we are, how we show up and what roles we do (and don't) play in the world… healing begins. Because as you uncover these subconscious beliefs and anchors, you begin to acknowledge them… work through them… and ultimately, decide if they are still serving you or not. You can do it, I believe in you… it's time to simplify! Q: Are you ready to shine bright? If yes, this one is for you. It's time to #DoTheThing ---- Show notes available with all links mentioned here: https://www.thesimplifiers.com/posts/383-how-to-shine-bright---with-sarah-hagstrom-part-one---all-star

What comes up for you when someone calls you ambitious? Are you offended? Appreciative? A little of both? What about the word “sacrifice”? Whether it's in your career or your personal life, where do you draw the line when it comes to deferring your own wants, needs, and desires in service of someone else's agenda? In this podcast, Tami Simon speaks with author and entrepreneurial soul coach Rha Goddess about her new book, Intentional Ambition, addressing these life-changing questions. Tune in for an inspiring, provocative, and in many ways healing conversation that digs into: a more balanced definition of “success”; wounded ambition and the fear of taking risks; how our resistance to disappointment creates disappointment; the dilemma of “living on halftime”; restoration after a breakdown; distorted determination; sacrifice and suffering; reconnecting with our humanity and building a society where everyone thrives; the “belly full” personality type; the five ways ambition can be wounded—and the five healing “redemptions”; systemic roadblocks and overcoming that which thwarts us on our path; reclaiming—the first step in renegotiation; refusing to buy into the “scare of scarcity”; embracing the truth of our wholeness and worthiness; rewriting your inner narrative; and more. In episode 16 of (Pop) Cultural Marxism, Isi and Ajay discuss the return of Tony Gilroy's Andor. Before departing for a galaxy far, far away, they stop by the world of gaming to chat about Hazelight Studio's latest co-op title, Split Fiction, and the impact of Trump's tariffs on the rollout of Nintendo's Switch 2. Turning to the first three episodes of Andor's second season, Isi and Ajay discuss the show's improbable presence in the Disney universe, the promises and perils of thinking with all-too-timely cultural objects, and formal and technical differences between seasons one and two. They then evaluate Gilroy's attempt to balance the tone and feel of the original trilogy with a plausible account of fascist and imperial rule–one that explores the minutiae of bureaucratic hierarchy, financial audits, counterinsurgency tactics, fascist youth culture, the exploitation of undocumented workers, communication blackouts, and the fragility of political resistance. Along the way, they discuss Gilroy's historical and filmic references, and the show's resonances with long-time PCM favorite, Franz Neumann's Behemoth. Today feels absolutely fabulous, and the vibrant energy is palpable. I'm truly excited this morning to connect with you and share some of my recent insights and personal clearings. Today is about shining brightly. It is about becoming a more complete version of yourself. This means embracing your bigness, your authentic self, rather than shrinking away. It's about cultivating fullness in your being, experiencing deeper happiness, greater joy, and a more playful spirit. This journey involves looking inward, connecting with your soul, your essential core, and simply leaning into that inherent part of you. To begin, let's gently ground our energy. Imagine drawing energy up from the Earth's core, through the soles of your feet – feel that connection. Now, visualize a soothing blue energy rising through your knees and the base of your spine, where your sit bones rest. As this energy moves up to your second chakra, it will naturally shift to a warm orange hue. Allow this orange energy to flow freely through that area of your body. Next, guide the energy upwards to your third chakra, often associated with the color yellow, and let that yellow energy circulate. Now, bring your focus to your heart chakra. Recognize the inherent kindness and inviting nature of your heart, a true sanctuary of love. This loving space is also represented by the color green and embodies the compassion of Quan Yin or the Buddha. Moving upwards, let's direct our attention to the throat area and gently roll a calming blue energy through it. Notice any sensations or releases that may occur. Continuing our journey, let's now focus on the third eye, the center of our perception and intuitive knowing. This is where we understand things beyond logical reasoning, a realm often associated with claircognizance or an innate sense of knowing. It's the place where insightful connections can happen, like knowing to reach out to someone with a manuscript just when they need a publisher, or connecting with someone considering an online identity overhaul at the precise moment they've been thinking about it. This third eye knowing is truly fascinating. Finally, let's move above to the violet energy of the seventh chakra and then extend outwards to encompass your eighth through fifteenth chakras. These radiate approximately 12 to 18 inches around you, forming your personal energy field. Today, this field is calling for some clearing. Let's simply intend that whatever clearings are necessary for your health and well-being will come forward and be made clear. It's also incredibly helpful to clear your mental space of other people's energy. This is a practice I learned decades ago from the Berkeley Psychic Institute. Often, those we are close to can inadvertently occupy space within our minds. However, your mind functions best when it's clear and open. So, let's take a moment now to release anyone who might be lingering in your head – this could be a parent, child, spouse, or anyone else. They don't need to be residing in your head. Honestly, this is for your benefit. So, gently clear your mind, releasing any entities, people, beings, friends, or even those who have passed on. Feel the spaciousness – doesn't that feel good? I love it. Now, let's take a moment to reach upwards, into the heavens, and consciously invite your own light to shine brilliantly. Invite your inner essence to radiate its full potential. People may not consciously understand why they are drawn to you, but they will be, simply because of your radiant energy. Give yourself permission today to shine just a little brighter than usual, to embody that inner star. Invite yourself to, as I jotted down, "be the tall puppy." There's a common saying advising against standing out, but we're intentionally flipping that around. We encourage you to stand out, to shine as brightly as you possibly can. As you embrace your own brilliance and shift your energetic vibration, you automatically grant others permission to do the very same. How wonderful is that? Yes, truly beautiful. Now, gently bring your awareness back to center. And just a suggestion – if you have the time, it would be beneficial to spend a little time journaling about your experiences. Find a private space where you can reflect on your personal growth, the changes you're noticing, or the desires that are emerging. Simply begin writing them down. Wonderful. I'm so glad you could be here and listen. Thanks. #EnergyHealing #SpiritualAwakening #Mindfulness #Meditation #Wellbeing #SelfCare #HealingJourney #PositiveVibes #ChakraHealing #HolisticHealth #SpiritualGrowth #InnerPeace #Lightworker #RaiseYourVibration #Manifestation #Energy #Spirituality #Consciousness #SelfLove #Wellness

Matthew 5:14-16 says, “You are the light of the world… No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.” When you go to work, do you switch off your faith? Do you put your belief under a bowl? Or do you proudly display it, letting it shine so that others can see it? The thing is, nobody benefits from your light if it's hidden... no one even knows it's there! But when you let your light - your faith - shine proudly at work, every good deed and kind word will bring glory to God! These regular parts of your day, suddenly become opportunities to share the love of Christ with everyone around you.
