I'm back, and I'm ready to push out some new content. I took a much needed break, mostly because I'm not tech savy and the new plateform had me very confused. I'm here, I'm older, wiser, and ready to continue the ride. I hope this finds you well, and as always, Shine Bright!
Tim Conway Jr Show Hour 3 (5.4) A cruise ship presently can’t find a port off Africa’s west coast after three people onboard died from Hantavirus, which is caused by rodent droppings. Also, a United Airlines flight from Venice, Italy to New Jersey’s Newark Airport crashed into a delivery truck and a light pole just feet from the runway — and everyone survived. Ever take the toll lane? Toll cheaters! People are now cruising the California freeways in the carpool lane with passenger car seats dressed up in clothes and accessories to look like travel buddies. Shine Bright | Bryan Borden | Senior Sunday On Senior Sunday, Youth Minister Bryan Borden shares a timely message from Colossians 3:17, reminding our graduating seniors—and all of us—that every word, action, decision, and next step can be lived in the name of Jesus. As our church sends our high school seniors into a new chapter, this message calls them to carry Christ with them, live with purpose, and “shine bright” as salt and light in the world. Wherever God leads next, may their lives point others to Him. Scripture: Colossians 3:17; Matthew 5:13–16Subscribe to PRESTONCREST - with Gordon Dabbs on Soundwise

In this heartfelt episode of Making Our Way, we sit down with Bill Barton — a father whose story takes us through the deep joy of fatherhood, the shock of an unexpected diagnosis, and the slow, transformative journey of learning what it truly means to be present. Bill shares honestly about the helplessness that can come with watching the people you love carry pain you cannot fix. He reflects on the moment he realized that love isn't always about solutions — sometimes it's about showing up, staying steady, and choosing connection in the hardest moments. Through it all, Bill reminds us that joy still finds its way in. In small moments. In laughter. In perspective. In family. This is a conversation about presence, perspective, and the quiet strength of a father learning to walk alongside his child — not with all the answers, but with an open heart.

Valentine's Day is right around the corner and that means it's time to buy some jewelry. There are many routes you could take, but buying a diamond, particularly one from a small merchant who offers a personal touch, is a route that won't take you down the wrong path. In this episode, hear Chad Comeau and Chris Keller discuss their path into the world of jewels, how to shop for your lady, and why full-service jewelers still matter. Give it a listen, it's a good one. #diamonds #jewels #jewelry #valentinesday
In a world marked by uncertainty, injustice, and spiritual darkness, Jesus reminds His followers of their calling: “You are the light of the world.” Drawing from Matthew 5:14-16, this message challenges believers to live boldly, faithfully, and visibly as reflections of God's light. Like diamonds formed under pressure, our trials are not wasted—they shape us to shine with purpose. This sermon calls the church to stop hiding its light, to reflect the love and truth of Christ, and to illuminate dark places so that God alone receives the glory.

In this episode, I'm revealing a few of my favorite tips + tricks to find a steady stream of ideas for creating—whether for your business, a podcast, a book, a cause, or just for fun. I'm also sharing what happens when the ideas finally start, but you feel resistance sharing...These tricks have helped me through a decade of content creation, from writing for global brands to growing my own businesses, books, and podcasts. I can't wait to share them with you so you can find fresh inspiration and overcome any creative block—and get your message out into the world.
Whatever situation you're facing, think about this: there is always another perspective available to you. There is SOMEONE out there who thinks about your exact same situation completely differently... and that perspective is available to you, too. Whether or not their view ultimately works for you, it's encouraging to remember that there are always others available, that you can try them on like outfits to choose the one that serves you, and to remember it's never too late to choose differently. This exercise can free you from any old mental patterns keeping you stuck, give you fresh eyes for the same old situation, and help you choose from the perspective of your best self. Listen in to give it a try!
You've finally found the courage to share your big, beautiful message or business with the world. You've worked through the fears and built the confidence to show up… and yet, there may still be a small voice in the background wondering what people will think, say, or comment. If that sounds familiar, this episode is for you.Because even after your inner confidence grows, there often comes a moment when someone leaves a negative comment or feedback. How do you handle it when it happens? And even more importantly—how do you prepare for it so you're not wasting precious energy worrying about it beforehand? In this episode, we'll talk about how to meet external criticism with clarity, resilience, and grounded confidence.
Have you ever wanted to share or take a chance on your dreams... only to hear internal thoughts pop up like, "You're not good enough," "You're being too much," "You're going to make others feel bad," "There's already so many people doing this..." or any other flavor? If so, this episode is for you.I share a simple 5-step process I use to improve limiting self-talk... and turn pesky limiting beliefs or worries into thoughts that empower you to take action on your dreams, believe you're worthy, share your unique contribution with the world, and make the difference you're here to make.
If you've ever gotten stuck in your head about what to say or how to say it… this episdoe is for you!In this sneak peek from Chapter 5 of my new book SHINE BRIGHT, we're talking about embracing your unique voice—the one thing no one else has. Your voice is your magnetism, your superpower, and the key to creating work that truly connects. In this video, we'll talk about how to break through creative blocks, stop obsessing over perfection, and trust that your energy will connect with people more than the 'perfect' website, flawless audio, or endless tinkering ever will. If you've been delaying your dreams because you think you need better gear, a perfect brand, or the “right” words… this will remind you that your humans need you now, not later.

Part of being a truly radiant person is to learn how to shine bright, yet without that pesky ego getting in the way. Many times you hear about people who “suck all the oxygen out of the room” or others who feel destined to be a wallflower forever. And in both scenarios, I find it fascinating that these are fear-based perceptions… Comparing yourself to others is the quickest way to dim your own light inside. So how do we avoid this fear loop and instead show up to life as our full, vibrant selves? My all-star special guest today is Sarah Hagstrom and she's simplifying how to shine bright and reclaim your radiance. Her personal story battling with chronic pain, digestive issues, overworking and people pleasing is one that I'm sure many of us have grappled with at some point in our own lives. The good news is… it doesn't have to be your “forever story.” Sarah shows us a better way to do less and focus on the things in life that truly light you up… and as she puts it, she teaches us to remember the simple phrase of “let's try easier” to help you lighten the load when things feel heavy, stressful or overwhelming. It seems that the secret to radiance is here, too. Here's how. My all-star special guest today is Sarah Hagstrom and she's simplifying how to shine bright. We tackle and simplify all aspects of it, including: Some insight into her childhood and how that affected her health as an adult - what she did to reverse the chronic pain and tackle the digestion issues once and for all What she means when she says “prune for progress” to reclaim your radiance and to truly live your purpose When we realize nothing is “good or bad” or “right or wrong” in life, how that simple, yet profound truth helps us shine brighter How to put an end to “people-pleasing” tendencies and focus more on doing the things that truly light you up first …and ultimately, she shares simple, practical tips that have helped her live with more grace, ease and flow both personally and professionally. I am a firm believer that when we each do the inner work like this, tackling the deep-rooted identity anchors that we dropped down when we were a child that helped us understand who we are, how we show up and what roles we do (and don't) play in the world… healing begins. Because as you uncover these subconscious beliefs and anchors, you begin to acknowledge them… work through them… and ultimately, decide if they are still serving you or not. You can do it, I believe in you… it's time to simplify! Q: Are you ready to shine bright? If yes, this one is for you. It's time to #DoTheThing ---- Show notes available with all links mentioned here: https://www.thesimplifiers.com/posts/383-how-to-shine-bright---with-sarah-hagstrom-part-one---all-star

What comes up for you when someone calls you ambitious? Are you offended? Appreciative? A little of both? What about the word “sacrifice”? Whether it's in your career or your personal life, where do you draw the line when it comes to deferring your own wants, needs, and desires in service of someone else's agenda? In this podcast, Tami Simon speaks with author and entrepreneurial soul coach Rha Goddess about her new book, Intentional Ambition, addressing these life-changing questions. Tune in for an inspiring, provocative, and in many ways healing conversation that digs into: a more balanced definition of “success”; wounded ambition and the fear of taking risks; how our resistance to disappointment creates disappointment; the dilemma of “living on halftime”; restoration after a breakdown; distorted determination; sacrifice and suffering; reconnecting with our humanity and building a society where everyone thrives; the “belly full” personality type; the five ways ambition can be wounded—and the five healing “redemptions”; systemic roadblocks and overcoming that which thwarts us on our path; reclaiming—the first step in renegotiation; refusing to buy into the “scare of scarcity”; embracing the truth of our wholeness and worthiness; rewriting your inner narrative; and more. Note: This episode originally aired on Sounds True One, where these special episodes of Insights at the Edge are available to watch live on video and with exclusive access to Q&As with our guests.
