Episode SummaryIn this heartfelt conversation, Coach Alex sits down with Stephanie Joy Lasota—Certified Revelation Wellness Instructor, wife, and mom of two—to explore how motherhood, discipleship, and fitness intersect in the Christian life.Stephanie shares her journey from wandering in New Age spirituality to being born again during a yoga retreat, and how God has transformed her perspective on the body, worship, and daily discipleship.Together, they discuss why motherhood is the most relentless and rewarding form of discipleship, how parents can model emotional regulation for their children, and why the church must reclaim the truth that the body is not a burden but a temple of the Holy Spirit. Whether you're raising kids, wrestling with feelings of being “too broken,” or longing to see your health as worship, this conversation will encourage you to see your body as a gift, your parenting as a ministry, and your daily life as a place of discipleship.“Motherhood is the best form of discipleship — there's no escape.” – Stephanie Joy Lasota MainDiscussion Themes-Motherhood as the primary ministry and deepest form of discipleship.-Teaching and modeling emotional regulation for children.-Stephanie's testimony: from New Age searching to a Christ-centered life.-Why Gnosticism still distorts how Christians think about the body.-Fitness as worship: moving from brokenness to wholeness.-Stewardship over vanity: the body as God's temple.-Reaching the church and community with Revelation Wellness.Timestamped Outline00:00 – Pre-show banter, introductions, and setting the conversation outline.07:00 – Parenthood as discipleship — “Motherhood is the best form of discipleship.”12:30 – Emotional regulation: teaching kids to process and channel emotions.20:00 – The importance of parents filling their own cup (Sabbath, rest, recharge).24:30 – Stephanie's testimony — leaving New Age spirituality, encountering Christ at a yoga retreat. 33:30 – Why the church must reclaim the body and reject modern Gnosticism.41:30 – The body as temple, fitness as worship, and the call to stewardship.52:00 – Science affirms Scripture: belief, mindset, and the slow transformation of the body.01:01:00 – Revelation Wellness, children's classes, and expanding the ministry beyond the church. 01:08:00 – Closing encouragement, Isaiah 40, and prayer.Strong shorts/reels moments:07:00 – “Motherhood is the best form of discipleship — there's no escape.”33:30 – Gnosticism and why the church must care about the body.41:30 – “Your body isn't a burden to escape. When do we become part of the Body of Christ?
Paul shifts from doctrine to daily living: walk worthy by guarding Spirit-given unity. Unity isn't uniformity—it's humility, gentleness, patience, and love in action. We're one body with one Spirit, hope, Lord, faith, baptism, and Father. Jesus gives leaders (apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers) to equip the saints so every part serves. The goal? Maturity—no longer tossed by trends, but “speaking the truth in love” as each part does its work.

Tim ChangSermon Series: Imagining the Church1 Corinthians 12:12-27 (ESV)12 For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. 13 For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit.14 For the body does not consist of one member but of many. 15 If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. 16 And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. 17 If the whole body were an eye, where would be the sense of hearing? If the whole body were an ear, where would be the sense of smell? 18 But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose. 19 If all were a single member, where would the body be? 20 As it is, there are many parts, yet one body.21 The eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you,” nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” 22 On the contrary, the parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, 23 and on those parts of the body that we think less honorable we bestow the greater honor, and our unpresentable parts are treated with greater modesty, 24 which our more presentable parts do not require. But God has so composed the body, giving greater honor to the part that lacked it, 25 that there may be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another. 26 If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together.27 Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it. Sermon Outline1. We are unique members [12] For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ…[14] For the body does not consist of one member but of many... [20] As it is, there are many parts, yet one body... [27] Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it. [22] the parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, [23] and on those parts of the body that we think less honorable we bestow the greater honor, and our unpresentable parts are treated with greater modesty, [24] which our more presentable parts do not require. But God has so composed the body, giving greater honor to the part that lacked it [15] If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. [16] And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. 2. We belong to the body of Christ [13] For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit. [25] …that the members may have the same care for one another. [26] If one member suffers, all suffer together; if one member is honored, all rejoice together. [21] The eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you,” nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” 3. This is God's design [18] God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose [24] God has so composed the body Genesis 2:23 - Then the man said, “This at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh.”Prayer of ConfessionAlmighty God, you created us for connection, not isolation. You arranged every member of Christ's body as indispensable, and your design is beautiful. Yet we confess our sins. We bring division, we measure people's worth wrongly, we see ourselves too highly and others too lowly. Instead of strengthening the body, we weaken it. Forgive us, O Lord. Turn our eyes to Jesus, whose body was broken to make us whole. May we live each day assured that we belong to him, for we are bone of his bones and flesh of his flesh. How did that affect you? What's the most meaningful encouragement you've ever received, and why did it resonate with you? How might we grow our church's culture of encouragement? Think of a time when someone “suffered with you” or “rejoiced with you.” How did that experience shape your sense of belonging? We may not be best friends with everyone in church, but what's one simple step you could take to connect more meaningfully with someone you don't know well? What if the song that Adam sung to Eve (“This at last is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh”) is being sung over us by Jesus? How might that encourage you to know that you are intimately tied to Jesus? What do you sense God calling you to do from this passage?

Title: Living Room – FellowshipScripture Reading: Acts 2:42, Ephesians 5:30, John 13:35Series: The 242 BlueprintThis message is the second in the series "The 242 Blueprint," which examines Acts 2:42 as a foundational model for the church. This week's sermon focuses on the topic of fellowship, using the analogy of watching football in a living room to explore what it means to be part of the Christian community. The message outlines three biblical facets of fellowship:The Player: Recognizing that we are not isolated individuals but members of a team—the body of Christ. This requires a shift from individualization to incorporation. The Position: Every member has a unique function and spiritual gifts to use for the church. This calls for a shift from inaction to involvement. The Purpose: The purpose of the church's love for one another is to be so extraordinary that it shows the world who Jesus is. This requires a shift from insularity to invitation.

FEATURING: John McCarthy ORGANIZATION: Purpose Promise Is retirement really the end of your impact—or the perfect time to “refire” your purpose? In this powerful conversation, Jim Brangenberg talks with John McCarthy, founder of Purpose Promise, about how believers over 55 can turn retirement into a season of legacy, wisdom transfer, and renewed calling. Jim and John discuss how the American dream of retirement has trapped many Christians in a “retirement prison,” when God’s design is for older generations to invest their wisdom and experience into the body of Christ. Instead of losing identity and drifting into boredom, John explains how retirees can reshape their later years around biblical principles of vocation, discipleship, and intentional living. In this episode, you’ll learn: Why retirement as it’s been done isn’t the answer How Scripture shows that God’s people thrive when wisdom is passed down to the next generation Why John calls it “refirement” instead of retirement—and how it leads to joy and purpose Practical retreat tools that help retirees remap beliefs, habits, and rhythms around God’s design How staying rooted in your city and community can transform culture, instead of “moving away” and leaving a wisdom gap Explore and discover resources at PurposePromise.org. If you have watched or listened to any sort of media in the last few weeks then you know, there is a tidal wave of people repenting & turning to God to the likes of which no one has seen in our lifetime. From people dusting off old bibles and opening them up to truly read them, to people going to the church for the very first time, to those who have been lukewarm in the faith to now on fire and for others who were already bold in the faith have now become stirred up with such focus and now are set ablaze. God is on the move! And I truly feel that as followers of Christ, we have such a responsibility to God to help grow these new believers and cover them. To pray and prepare in such a way that we can point them to the truth along with so many other aspects I point out in this episode including praying for our pastors, leaders & children. We are in such a pivotal season. It's time to pray & prepare for what God is setting up because I think its bigger and more aligned than we can begin to comprehend. Be excited & be even more diligent friend! God is for us!Encouragement Website:jillianwhinery.comSocial:@thejillianwhineryshow@jillianwhineryWorshipBuild Your ChurchConstant
There is one body and one Spirit (Eph. 4:4, KJV). Today we slow down and remember who we are: members of Christ's Body—“of His flesh, and of His bones” (Eph. 5:30). Pastor Roderick traces how this truth resets rivalry, clarifies calling, and restores peace in the church.Scripture (KJV):Ephesians 4:1–4; 5:30 • Ephesians 2:16 • Romans 12:4–5 • 1 Corinthians 12:12–13, 20 • Colossians 3:15You'll hear about:Why you're a member, not the whole body—and why that matters.Different functions, one Head (Christ): eyes see, ears hear, feet move (Rom. 12:4–5).How the Spirit places us into one body and calls us to let peace rule (Col. 3:15).Takeaways:Unity isn't a program; it's a Person's Body.Gifts differ, value doesn't.Peace grows when members serve their part.Reflect:Which “part” am I trying to be that I'm not?Where can I let the peace of God rule today? If this helped, follow the show, share it with a friend, and leave a short review to help others find the Word.

Thanks for tuning into the “Encouragement Expert Podcast” Wes Daughenbaugh speaks on Delight in the Body of Christ.
This weekend we were honored to hear from Pastor Patrick Detkin, our Lead Pastor of Care and Community, as he continued week 6 of Love Language: What God Says About Relationships. Our key verse was John 13:34–35. The church is not an event you attend, it's a family to which you belong. And when you belong to a family, it's not just about you; it's about others. God calls us to love one another, and this sermon explores what it means to belong to His family and how we can love His family. Check out the sermon to learn more!
Listen in as Dr. David John Philips addresses the recent murder of Charlie Kirk and the response of the Church. He also shows the biblical value for the Church and your role in it as a part of the Body of Christ.www.realchurch.us
The events of the past week in the United States were shocking and sickening. The murder of innocents: Two school children, a young war refugee, a conservative activist. And that's not even the whole list. Many people are hurting and even afraid. And, it would seem, many people are also celebrating murder and reveling in extremely divisive politics. What in the world is a Christian to do? Pastor Chris gave a heart-felt and pastoral response to the rawness of the world by starting with a look at Moses and one of the (many) times he interceded for his nation. Join us for what we hope will be an encouraging and hopeful message. The artwork associated with this sermon/podcast is titled "Moses Pleading" by Yitchok Schmukler (viewable on the Epiclesis podcast page but not in iTunes).

Romans: Transforming Power of the Gospel, Pt. 21 – Blessed Body of ChristRomans 12:3–8 | King's Chapel Live StreamIn Romans 12, Paul shows us what it means to be the body of Christ. The church is one body made up of many members, each gifted by God to bless His people and build His kingdom.Romans 12:3–8 reminds us that none of us are the whole story, but every one of us matters. Paul teaches that every member has a role, and every gift is given by grace to strengthen the body of Christ. This passage calls us to humility, to recognize our need for one another, and to celebrate that every member belongs. If you have ever wondered where you fit or how God has gifted you, Romans 12 will remind you that you have a place in His body and a purpose in His church.Connect with King's Chapel in Longwood, FL- ▶️ www.kingschapelfl.com▶️ https://www.facebook.com/KingsChapelfl▶️ https://www.instagram.com/kingschapelfl/For the GLORY of our Great GodFor the GOOD of our NeighborRomans 12 sermon, body of Christ explained, spiritual gifts in the Bible, King's Chapel Longwood FL, Romans Bible study, one body many members, blessed body of Christ, using your gifts for God, Paul letter to the Romans, spiritual gifts sermon, Christian community and belonging

Many false versions of the gospel are flourishing in the Church right now—what are they, and how can we recognize them? In this sermon, Pastor Allen Jackson discusses the symptoms of widespread deception, distortion, and manipulation happening under the umbrella of “faith” today. He warns us to live with an awareness of messages that pervert the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ to fit a popular worldview, agenda, or cultural fad. We learn from Peter and Paul that this is not a new problem; it's an age-old issue. To remain grounded in the Truth, we need to stay close to our Shepherd, the Lion of the tribe of Judah.
