Joshua, Natasha and Leinard take some precious time out of their studying to chat about the final hurdle of the university semester: crunch time. They share some of their strategies for studying and completing assignments, and ask guest Dr Stephen Price from the Learning and Academic Skills Centre (LAS) all their questions about plagiarism and referencing. They then talk about the importance of staying healthy and active during your crunch time.
Natasha and Josh (despite feeling pretty rotten with colds) chat with Leinard and guest Paul Kneebone about how each of them procrastinates, and try to figure out why we all procrastinate. Along the way, they share some interesting strategies about how to avoid and minimise procrastination and increase the amount of work you can get done.
Leinard, Josh, and once-off host Jenni share their cultures and experiences with diversity, before chatting to Edward about life as an international student from Malaysia and how he has adjusted to Australian culture. We then talk with Olivia Doyle from the International Student Advisory and Support team at Swinburne about the benefits of diversity at a university and in the workplace, and what support and programs are offered for students by her team.
Leinard, Natasha and Josh face their fears by talking about the dreaded group project, and realise that it's really not that bad after all. They discuss strategies of how to communicate and work with others online and face to face, and what to do if someone isn't pulling their weight.
Joshua and Leinard talk through setting and achieving goals with Natasha, who admits she's not that good at it. We chat about long versus short term goals, academic goals and other life goals, and how to make goals easier and more fun with incentives, rewards and adaptability.
Joshua, Leinard and Natasha introduce themselves and this podcast before launching into a discussion of social connectedness, and feeling like you belong at university. Guests Dr Michelle Lim and Paul Kneebone lend their expertise and experiences to the conversation.
