This week on the Ante Up Poker Podcast, Elle and I kick things off with some Table Talk about Robbie Strazynski and his difficult decision to cancel the upcoming Mixed Game Festival. We look at the facts, show our support, and look ahead to the next festival scheduled at Bellagio later this year. We also share the latest updates on the upcoming Ante Up poker cruise, including why now might be the perfect time to lock in your spot. Plus, there's a new addition to the Ante Up studio that should make the show look a little sharper for our growing YouTube audience… even if installing it created a few extra “decorative” holes in the wall. In Call the Floor, Elliott Schecter weighs in on a strange situation when a dealt card slides under the table rail and disappears from view—what's the proper ruling when the card has to be dug out mid-deal? Then in Hand of the Week, Patrick joins me to break down a hand with AJ suited… and, as usual, what starts as a simple situation quickly spirals into a complicated one. Finally, I wrap things up with Joe's One Outer, drawing inspiration from the legendary reality show Survivor and what poker players can learn from the idea of outlasting the competition while keeping a clear head. It's another fun one with the A-Team—strategy, stories, and a few lessons along the way. Click here for our Linktree. The Misfits are lounging in their usual chaotic, colorful room, a mix of streamers, empty cups, and quirky decorations scattered around. They lean back, laughing and chatting about Dakota's upcoming 24th birthday, teasing him about what surprises might be in store. One of them nudges a memory, and the room shifts slightly into a flashback haze: past birthdays float around them like warm, glowing snapshots—Dakota blowing out candles, silly hats, chaotic party antics, cake disasters, and old pranks. The Misfits comment on each memory with a mix of nostalgia, humor, and affection, the air filled with laughter, smoke, and a sense of playful camaraderie

Join Here: https://ow.ly/msoH50WCu0KThe Notorious Mass Effect segment delivers a detailed breakdown of Bruno Mars' long-awaited solo return with The Romantic, released February 27, 2026, via Atlantic Records. Hosted by Analytic Dreamz, this analysis covers the 9-track, 31-minute album—his first solo project in nearly a decade since 24K Magic (2016)—blending retro-soul, disco-pop, funk, 1970s influences (Curtis Mayfield, Philly soul), and Latin elements like bolero, cha-cha, and mariachi for a crooner-forward, romantic vibe timed near Valentine's.Lead single “I Just Might” (January 9, 2026) debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 with retro-funk/disco energy and a Leo Sayer interpolation. Follow-up “Risk It All” dropped with the album, featuring mariachi-styled visuals and wedding-themed romance. Early streaming shows strong momentum on Spotify and Apple Music, boosted by billions from recent hits “Die With a Smile” (with Lady Gaga, 2025 Grammy winner) and “APT.” (with Rosé, Grammy-nominated).Critical reception is mixed: praise for vocal polish, production, and crowd-pleasing retro-soul (Rolling Stone: positive crowd-pleaser; NME: 4/5 mature persona), but some critique homage-heavy predictability and sentimentality (Paste: D+ overly sentimental). Physical editions include translucent red and gold vinyl for collectors.Analytic Dreamz highlights strategic insights: short runtime for high completion/replay rates, playlist-friendly nostalgia, Latin market expansion, wedding/event utility for long-tail streams, catalog halo from legacy smashes (“Just the Way You Are,” “Versace on the Floor”), and steady streaming over viral spikes. The Romantic Tour kicks off early April 2026 in Las Vegas (Allegiant Stadium), spanning North America through late May, Europe (Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, Madrid, Milan, London) late June–mid July, and back to U.S./Vancouver by mid-October. Features Anderson .Paak as DJ Pee .Wee, plus select supports like Leon Thomas, Raye, Victoria Monet. This polished, formula-consistent revival reinforces Bruno's retro-romantic brand, leveraging hiatus demand and prior collaborations for sustained commercial longevity.Support this podcast at — https://redcircle.com/analytic-dreamz-notorious-mass-effect/exclusive-contentPrivacy & Opt-Out: https://redcircle.com/privacy
Happy Tuesday! The Blue Jackets blew a massive lead but still won the game. Are we back to loving running backs again? Ryan Roberts of A to Z Sports joins the show. We play Party Like a Rothstar. The Floor is Yours reveals the listener of the century for his contributions to today's show. One of our coworkers has a terrible idea to make this show work harder. We have Tuesdays w/ Tyvis live from the drive thru. The mock drafters love the Buckeyes which isn't new, but they're now coming up with creative ways for the Buckeyes to fly off the board. Rothman delivers an impossible trivia question and still gets beat. Ian Fitzsimmons joins the show. And we Tell the Truth about the Bengals and Trey Hendrickson.
Chuck Heinz and Jamie Lent talk about the New floor at the Big 12 Tournament, Rodney King beating, Gerry Glasco joined the show, Men's Basketball players stepping up and Sozzled.
The guys debate the Mike Brown Knicks' sky-high ceiling, frustratingly low floor, and why regular-season reactions can swing wildly game to game. Strong defense, hot three-point shooting, and key performances show how dangerous this team can be — but consistency remains the missing piece. Things get spicy when a prominent fan publicly begs Giannis to come to New York, sparking a rant about whether a legitimate contender should ever sound that desperate. From there it turns into a classic WFAN free-for-all: callers argue the show should have led with the Knicks, hosts push back on regular-season overreactions, and coaching adjustments plus lineup experimentation come under the microscope. The hour closes on baseball with a passionate Mets debate: Who should start Opening Day — Freddy Peralta or rookie phenom Nolan McClain? Respect for the veteran vs hype for the future, contract psychology, clubhouse dynamics, and fan expectations all collide, along with a wild prediction game for the temperature at first pitch at Citi Field. A chaotic, funny, very New York finish to a jam-packed hour.

Send a textKory and Gen dive into the stubborn gap between starting and finishing—why “almost” masquerades as effort, how it drains confidence and momentum, and what finally helped us ship creative work, grow a business, and say yes to a Barnes & Noble reading for The Fuzzy Furry Forest. This isn't about hustle myths or productivity theater. It's about the quiet power of devotion over hype.We separate motivation from discipline: one rides emotion, the other rests on structure. Expect practical ways to make discipline easier—micro-commitments, clear definitions of done, and “done for today” rituals that stack into trust. Then we go deeper: almost is rarely a time issue; it's an identity issue. Change the story you protect—“I'm consistent, I follow through”—and your habits start to align with your future, not your fears. We also reframe discipline as devotion, a steadier, kinder loyalty to who you are becoming. Devotion honors craft without glorifying grind culture. It asks for presence, not perfection; closure, not theatrics. If you've been living in Almost Land, consider this your exit ramp: finish one small thing today, protect the streak, and watch your confidence return. And yes, we're celebrating community wins too—from honoring veterans at the parade to inviting families to our upcoming bookstore event—because progress loves company. If this resonates, share it with a friend who needs a nudge, subscribe for more honest tools, and leave a quick review with the next promise you're ready to keep.Look up, and let's elevate!Support the showhttps://www.thegenko.com
In this episode of The Tactics Meeting, Dan sits down with Patrick Gallagher, Executive Director of the Marine Exchange of Puget Sound, for a practical conversation about what “response readiness” actually looks like in the Pacific Northwest—when the weather's bad, systems fail, and you still have to keep the region moving. They dig into the Marine Exchange's behind-the-scenes role supporting WSMC's 24/7 watch, the value of resilient AIS coverage, and how the Marine Exchange has even backed up the Coast Guard's Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) when federal systems stumble. Along the way, they talk continuity planning (generators, fuel, cloud redundancy), the reality that help may not arrive quickly in a Cascadia-scale event, and what preparedness looks like when you're building it with limited resources. Topics include: Continuity of operations for maritime response and vessel traffic oversight AIS as an operational backbone (and why redundancy matters) Coordinating notifications, early incident intelligence, and on-call incident command Shipboard fire readiness, Unified Command, and hard lessons learned Communications resilience (including radio) and emerging hazards like lithium-ion battery fires
The Trio kick off with the rumors about Apple's March 4th event and the possible return of a budget 12-inch MacBook on an A18 chip, which leads to a very poorly researched price analysis and a pitch for a MacBook sock accessory. Steve and Aaron talk about how agentic-assisted coding at work has been mentally exhausting and how they miss actually writing code. The conversation covers why LLMs are rough for greenfield projects, what "vibe coding" actually means (and why they're not doing it), the Alex Hillman episode follow-up, and Steve's experiment running different models against Bento Fit to produce slop PRs that Kotaro then spent an hour reviewing for some reason. This week on the Ante Up Poker Podcast, we're celebrating a milestone that belongs to every single member of the A-Team — we hit #1 in the Hobby & Leisure category! This doesn't happen without the everyday poker players who listen, share, comment, and support what we do. We've been knocking on that door for a long time and now the goal is to stay there. In Table Talk, we dive into the noticeable downturn of the L.A. Poker Classic (LAPC) and what it might signal about the Los Angeles tournament scene as a whole. Is it shifting player priorities? A buy-in recalibration? Or something bigger? We break it down. We also have more updates on the upcoming Ante Up Poker Cruise — including what you can expect onboard — and preview the Octopi Poker training special that's designed to help sharpen your edge without breaking the bankroll. In Call the Floor, Elliott gets into the nuts and bolts of what actually constitutes a bet. When do chips across the line become binding? It's a must-listen for tournament and cash players alike. Then Patrick and I roll up our sleeves for Hand of the Week, breaking down a tricky AQ spot that'll have you thinking through ranges, aggression, and decision-making streets ahead. I close things out with Joe's One Outer, talking about something we don't always practice at the table — living in the moment. What Is Hard Techno? This mix isn't about genre boxes — it's about pressure, drive, and tempo. We're talking all about Survivor's 50th Season Premiere because I got invited to be a part of a Q&A panel for the show tonight with former stars of Survivor! Guess being on Fox's The Floor finally paid off, eh? Huge thanks to Matt Bischoff and Little Miami Brewing for putting this together. I brought in Lucky, as he's the biggest Survivor fan that I know; we talked about the show, we talked a little strategy, but we REALLY talked about all kinds of fun international fruits that we tried here. Turns out, we should learn a little more about picking ripe fruit before the show starts! Along the way, we get off on some delightful tangents leading into me giving one of my classic passionate speeches about media criticism framed around great games and movies like Red Dead Redemption 2, and the original Ninja Turtles franchise. I can't stop looking at my dog Morison, who is a DEAD RINGER for Master Splinter, and saying "All fathers care for their sons." Anyway, it's another fun one from us, it's silly, and we tried a lot of fruit. "This is the wettest the podcast has ever been, and you can quote me on that" - Mark Borison
Most high performers chase ceilings: bigger goals, more revenue, bigger stages. Steve argues that what actually determines whether you feel steady in the moments that matter is your floor, your daily standards, mindset, and behaviors when no one is watching. He breaks down how “growth resistance” shows up subtly (protecting identity, reputation, competence), and why the path forward isn't hype or intensity… it's alignment.Key takeaways:Goals as “ceilings” vs. standards as your “floor”Why pressure exposes weak foundations (even when you look prepared)Effort vs. standards: the difference between looking ready and being ready“Growth resistant” behavior: protecting identity after failureGrowth resilience: treating failure as data and adjusting standardsMicrosoft / Satya Nadella “learn-it-all vs know-it-all” as a standards shiftAlignment over intensity: raising your floor to match rising stakesReflection prompt: “What is my floor right now—and is it built for what I'm pursuing?”Links & resources mentionedSatya Nadella / Microsoft culture shift (learn-it-alls vs know-it-alls)Send a textSupport the showConnect with Steve Mellor Stay connected and keep growing with Steve: LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/in/steve-mellor-cc/ Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/coachstevemellor Book Steve to speak at your next event → www.stevemellorspeaks.com Support the GrowthReady Podcast by leaving a 5-star rating → Apple Podcasts - https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/growthready-podcast/id1406082163 Connect with GrowthReady Join the community and keep your growth journey going: LinkedIn - https://www.linkedin.com/company/wearegrowthready/ Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/growthreadypodcast/ Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/growthreadywithcoachstevemellor Official Website - https://growthready.com/ ---- This podcast was produced on Riverside and released via ...
Inside Carolina's senior reporter Greg Barnes joins Tommy Ashley discuss North Carolina's 78-74 win over Louisville, highlighting Henry Veesaar's impactful performance and Seth Trimble's 30 point night. They note Carolina's solid 27-minute stretch but criticize their late-game execution, citing a 44-point deficit over the final 10 minutes in 15 ACC games and the free-throw woes (319th in nation). Barnes and Ashley praise Hubert Davis for motivating the team and highlight Carolina's success without Caleb Wilson, noting improved defensive play with key players stepping up. The conversation also covers ACC standings, with Carolina tied for 5th at 10-5, and the importance of winning the next three games to secure a double bye in the ACC Tournament. **Call to Action:** **Subscribe:** Follow 'Inside Carolina' wherever you get your podcasts to never miss an episode! **Review:** Leave us a 5-star review on Apple Podcasts or Spotify to help us reach more Tar Heel fans! **Visit:** Explore http://www.InsideCarolina.com for breaking news, recruiting updates, and expert commentary on all things UNC sports. Combine week is here, and Ceiling and Floor is back before the real testing starts. Jagger May and Andrew Mott run through a slate of running backs with ceiling and floor comps, while repeating an important reminder: these are stylistic outcomes, not destiny. The episode starts with Jeremiah Love as the clear top name in the class, with big, usage-driven upside and rare receiving potential. From there, they dig into the next tier of backs and what could swing outcomes at the next level: lateral agility for Jadarian Price, pass pro and role certainty for Emmett Johnson, and how speed testing could make or break the outlook for Jonah Coleman. Later, the discussion turns to the broader “don't over-draft this class” warning, especially for dynasty players who might fall in love with RB2 in this group without comparing the talent to other NFL backs. That context shows up again when they get into Kaytron Allen, Mike Washington Jr., Nicholas Singleton, and Demond Claiborne, where landing spot, role, and Combine numbers could cause major movement. Behind Love, this class has more unanswered questions than usual. The crew argues that the Combine will be critical for sorting out who can erase athletic concerns, who needs specific coaching to unlock receiving or pass protection, and who might be pushed down boards when the testing confirms the doubts. On the Floor of the house Art Washut accused another member of reading a script that had been given to them. There are a bunch of people who read from their phones and their computers but Art never says anything about that. Gary & Shannon finally say the quiet part out loud. On this Weekend Fix, they spill the behind-the-scenes drama that no longer fits on the weekday show—office politics, deserted floors, and how the once-electric KFI 4th floor became the building’s forgotten dungeon. They react to Tim Conway Jr.’s eerie video shot near the old offices, debate why everyone now sneaks downstairs for bathroom anonymity, and declare their floor the unofficial “poop floor” of the building.Shannon suggests exposing the secret first-floor bathroom. Gary floats making a public bathroom protest upstairs. Someone says he’s starting to look like John & Ken. Signs are proposed. Lines are crossed. And the episode ends with Gary asking Shannon if she feels anything funny in her breasts—because apparently that’s where this conversation was always headed.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Elle and I kick things off with our upcoming poker travels, including our first trip out to Gila River in Arizona for the next Ante Up Poker Tour stop. We're looking forward to the desert scenery, great action, and connecting with the A-Team in a brand-new spot for us. Then we shift from cactus to glaciers as we dive into the details of our upcoming Alaskan Poker Cruise — because nothing says “standard poker trip” like playing cards with mountains and whales in the background. The 2026 WSOP Summer Schedule has officially dropped, and we break down some of the changes, what caught our attention, and what it could mean for everyday players trying to take their shot in Vegas. We also recap last night's Patreon game — where the leaderboard continues to tell stories, newcomers are making noise, and yes… there may have been some friendly trash talk involved. In this week's Call the Floor, Elliott weighs in on a controversial dirty stack situation — intention vs. action, chip visibility, and whether the bet should stand. Then Patrick and I jump into HOTW, featuring a couple of tricky AK spots. Big slick… big decisions. And to close things out, I share this week's Joe's One Outer, diving into that little voice inside your head — the one that can sabotage your stack.
In the next hour, our first caller has questions regarding the input on the floor in an upstairs room and whether it's structurally sound to handle a 2000-pound safe. If you can't do fragrance for whatever reason, Dean knows just the timber finish to use in your home so you won’t upset your schnoz. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Welcome, welcome, welcome to the Distraction Pieces Podcast with Scroobius Pip!This week Pip is joined by the Traitors-starring legend JESSIE ROUX!An episode for the books right here! Those of you who love and appreciate the how Traitors will have surely also come to love and appreciate the recent breakout superstar Jessie. Jessie's awesome from the start of course but it's a weirdly rare thing to see and hear folks with a stammer out there in the mainstream media (our very own Pip notwithstanding), so when she comes along and blesses the world with such an aura and pure vibes it is a treat to be celebrated. Naturally - as comes up in the conversation - Jessie is not her stammer, in so much as it is not her identity. So enjoy this brilliant chat which covers so much in her life, upbringing, present day and so much in her personal experience which leads to the person you're listening to in this episode.
