A large population of America is aging and there are not enough healthcare workers to take care of them. The worsening nurse shortage can be attributed to not only an aging workforce but overall burnout and an insufficient number of new nurses. More and more hospitals and organizations have put a focus on training up the next wave of healthcare workers, and are now meeting potential employees where they are - in high school classrooms. FOX's Tonya J. Powers speaks with Barb Clapp, CEO of Dwyer Workforce Development, a nonprofit that helps people get training in healthcare, who says by 2030 the shortage of nurses will dramatically effect all levels of healthcare. Brendan! returns to host this Friday episode and begins by picking Andy's brain about a morning spent at the DMV. This conversation quickly evolves into a debate about different kinds of gasoline and why the "middle" level of gas even exists. If anyone out there happens to own a gas station, please let us know your thoughts on this matter. Speaking of "gas", Rico Hoey is continuing his fall swing heater with a share of the first round lead at the RSM Classic. Andy does some Big J Journalism and investigates whether Hoey will be eligible for the International Presidents Cup team and finds out that he is, in fact, eligible to take down Scottie Scheffler at Medinah in September 2026. The two then run down the Top 100 Bubble Boys as the FedEx Cup season finally comes to a close, mentioning that podcast favorites like Matt Kuchar and the "Beau-rista" may be on the outside looking in for full status. "AI Minute" returns with Andy reading off the Google Gemini suggestions for someone googling Matt Kuchar's age. They then check in on the Tour's "Players to Watch", most of whom are struggling after Thursday's round. Brendon Todd was not one of the five highlighted by the Tour, but "Todd Watch" returns anyway for a quick minute. Brendan then shifts to the biggest news coming out of the RSM, some comments from Harris English about a potential PGA Tour schedule change. English claims that the Tour is discussing starting after the Super Bowl and running a 20-event season. Andy and Brendan discuss the impact this would have on the "A Tour" and "B Tour" setups, as well as major markets that would likely host a new tournament under this structure. Andy brings in a "former NFL executive" (PJ) to share some thoughts on a move to an NFL-like schedule under Brian Rolapp, another very famous ex-NFL exec. PJ is also prompted to preview an upcoming "Lunch with The Boys" episode featuring recurring guest Cameron Young. Through two rounds, Caleb Surratt is doing Caleb Surratt things at the Saudi International, but Anthony Kim is close behind him on the leaderboard! Brendan and Andy then unpack a bit of the LPGA's 2026 schedule changes before wrapping things up with the latest from Notah on Tiger's future competitive plans.

Pastor Abraham and Sara are living as representatives of God's love to displaced people in the Middle East. The ministry can be messy and difficult, yet they persist in demonstrating love in practical ways. And they are seeing great fruit for their ministry. Abraham and Sara will share how one woman—the widow of an imam—had heard all kinds of negative things about Christians. But when she came to the church, she found something very different: people who loved her and helped her. Listen to hear the story of how God answered the woman's prayer within 24 hours, and how a dream led her to commit her life to Jesus. Leaving Islam behind to follow Jesus comes with a cost, though. Abraham and Sara will also share what Christian persecution looks like in the region, including pressure from families or tribes as well as Islamists or government authorities. “We are planting seeds,” Sara says, “we are the tools for His Kingdom.”

In this episode of Nurturing Financial Freedom, we explore the bold claim that retirees should hold nothing but stocks forever. Sparked by a recent Wall Street Journal article by Jason Zweig, the conversation centers around whether an all-equity portfolio is a sound retirement strategy, or just good theory that breaks down in the real world. We tackle the academic study Zweig references, which analyzed over a century of data across 39 countries, concluding that bonds have historically underperformed and added minimal diversification. At first glance, that makes a compelling case for stocks-only portfolios, even in retirement. But as we point out, average returns over a hundred years don't capture the emotional and practical realities retirees face. Markets move in cycles, and people's risk tolerance changes over time—especially when they stop contributing and start drawing income in retirement. When volatility hits, a paper loss becomes a real-life stressor, and if the timing is bad enough, it can ruin a retirement plan. The study fails to account for the psychological impact of watching your nest egg drop 30–40%, which often leads investors to panic and sell low. We emphasize that bonds, CDs, and cash aren't exciting, but they serve a critical purpose: they provide liquidity and peace of mind during market downturns. We share examples of possible outcomes for people who retired just before the 2008 crash—and how balanced portfolios helped them weather the storm while all-stock portfolios struggled. Those who were all-in on stocks or fled to cash at the wrong time are still trying to catch up—or never did. We also run a hypothetical example from 1999 to 2024 showing how a 60/40 split outperformed both a pure stock and pure bond strategy over 25 years, with regular withdrawals. The math alone doesn't capture the full picture. Sequence of returns risk is real, and so is the need for flexibility.Ultimately, we conclude that the best plan isn't the one with the highest theoretical return—it's the one you can stick with. A diversified portfolio might not always win in terms of raw numbers, but it gives you the best chance to live the life you want in retirement, regardless of market conditions. We are excited to answer your art questions! In this episode we will discuss: how do you keep your practice thriving while navigating space, money, and access? We dig in with honest, field-tested advice and personal stories from two working artists who've built momentum in imperfect conditions. We start with the studio question everyone wrestles with: home vs separate space. You'll hear why a “setup” beats square footage, how to protect focus if interruptions tank your flow, and scrappy ways to work larger without taking on a lease you can't sustain. From there, we lay out a gallery game plan: what a strong approach package looks like (10–15 works with depth behind them), what “consistency” really means, and how to get on the radar through open calls, smart social presence, and showing up at the right level.International showing gets a reality check. Culture changes the conversation, but logistics can make or break it. We walk through shipping options, customs surprises, and how to avoid vanity traps with contracts that shift costs onto artists. We also talk residencies, including why many invite-only programs pull from boards and alumni, and how relationships can open doors when applications can't.Collectors and sustainability round out the heart of the episode. We share favorite delivery stories, why early-stage artists should sell to keep making, and how ideal collectors help build careers over time. For anyone staring down a short financial runway, we offer practical steps: emergency grant resources, low-cost materials that keep you prolific, and the mindset shift that treats bridge income as a patron rather than a detour. If you found value here, follow the show, share it with an artist friend, and leave a review so more creatives can find these conversations. Send us a textToday, Alaska state house Representative Zack Fields published an op-ed in the Alaska Current called: “Look at the Criminals who Donald Trump is pardoning.” The article explores pardons related to cryptocurrency. In Anchorage we have at least 3 crypto ATMs where folks can deposit cash and purchase crypto or sell crypto and withdraw cash.Cryptocurrencies are essentially digital money. From the very start, crypto has been an attractive investment for drug dealers. This is for several reasons: 1. Its pseudo-anonymity – cryptocurrency wallets are identified by a string of numbers and letters, not names. 2. Their decentralization – crypto transactions don't rely on banks and those transactions can be performed without receipts – this reduces oversight from traditional financial institutions and law enforcement. 3. Large scale International transfers are much faster than through traditional banks. This enables criminal enterprises, like drug cartels, to move huge sums of money anywhere in the world almost immediately. 4. Cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin are the primary mode of payment for dark web market places where folks can purchase hacked personal information, drugs, and other illegal goods. Alaska Congressman Nick Begich is a big fan of Bitcoin. And according to reporting by Liz Ruskin at Alaska Public media he's made a lot of money from it, turning a small investment into an asset now worth around $760,000. he's the  sponsor of a bill in congress that would make the United States a crypto owner. Begich's Bitcoin bill is similar to an executive order President Donald Trump signed in March, creating a “Strategic Bitcoin Reserve.” Begich has described it as a place to store wealth that would be similar to the U.S. gold reserves. The Trump family created a crypto business in 2024 called World Liberty Financial. In April of this year, President Trump ordered the disbanding of a Department of Justice crypto crime investigations team. In May, Binance, the largest cryptoexchange in the world, invested $2 billion in the Trump crypto enterprise. And just 3 weeks ago, Trump pardoned Changeng Zhao the founder of Binance who was serving a sentence after pleading guilty to money laundering charges – his company has laundered huge sums of money for Hamas and Al-Quaeda.

The United States and Russia have written up a plan to try and end the bloody fighting in Ukraine. High ranking officials from the Pentagon met with President Zelenskyy and shared the Trump administration's reported new 28-point plan to end the war. The plan is said to have been in the works for a month, receiving input from both sides but there is some initial negative reaction from Ukrainian officials who say it heavily favors Russia. FOX's John Saucier speaks with Greg Palkot, Senior Foreign Affairs Correspondent for FOX News Channel (FNC) based In London, who breaks down what we know about the possible peace plan, the possibility of it being accepted by both sides and the latest on the fighting. A memorial reads names, but a community carries the weight. We sit down with Jeffrey Godwin to explore how the International Towing and Recovery Museum turns remembrance into real support through the Wall of the Fallen and the Survivor Fund—and why hearing those names aloud changes how we see risk, service, and family. Jeffrey explains their careful process: contacting companies first to ease the burden on families, approving cases quickly so funds reach homes when they're needed most, and building a peer network so owners and teams aren't alone after a tragedy. From there, we step inside the museum's evolving home in Chattanooga. Recent grants refreshed the roof, HVAC, and the Hall of Fame flow, and a new remembrance room offers a quiet space to reflect. Yet the mission has outgrown a converted grocery store. Low ceilings limit modern displays, from carriers to rotators, and the team is pursuing a larger building to tell a fuller story of towing technology and culture. Until then, off-site storage and rotating exhibits will bring fresh vehicles and artifacts to the floor.Growth runs through community. The annual fundraising auction fuels operations while welcoming new Hall of Fame inductees. Membership tiers make it easier to join and make a difference, and donations—financial or artifact—put history in front of the next generation. There's even a hometown twist: the Chattanooga Lookouts' Wreckers games amplify Slow Down, Move Over messaging and celebrate the city where the tow truck was born. With a new stadium opening, Wreckers weekend promises a bigger stage for safety education, museum events, and industry pride.Help us preserve stories, support families, and expand what's possible. Join Jeff of Right On Radio with guest John Brisson (We've Read the Documents) for a wide‑ranging Midweek Live conversation that moves from scripture to geopolitics to end‑times prophecy. The show opens with the Word on Word segment (Psalm 1; 2 Timothy 1:7) and quickly pivots into analysis of New Age predictions, Michael Jaco's “Great Split” messaging, and a reading from Barbara Marx Hubbard that ties theosophical ideas to modern political movements. Jeff and John discuss audio clips and commentary from figures such as Michael Jaco, Ben Bergquam (on Steve Bannon), Jake Lang, and others, examining how language about a mass awakening or purge echoes older theosophical and Q‑style narratives and how Christian hosts interpret these claims as demonic or deceptive. They contrast those New Age visions with Biblical end‑times themes and explore the recurring patterns they see in today's media and prophecy discourse. The episode also addresses rising domestic tensions: recent moves to label the Muslim Brotherhood and CAIR as security threats, the volatile Dearborn pro‑Jesus march and reported provocations, fears about Sharia and assimilation, and the broader concern that media and political actors are “herding” Americans into opposing identity groups. Jeff and John debate the real risks—whether from radical Islam, Christian nationalist movements (the so‑called Joel's Army), or manufactured false flags—and how those risks might be used to accelerate social breakdown or political aims. Other segments examine current media controversies: Candace Owens' unfolding exposé involving Charlie Kirk and security questions around a recent attack, the viral AI deepfake “Trump Gaza” video and its Gnostic‑tinged messaging, and how opaque investigations and limited transparency fuel conspiracy narratives. International items covered include the UN Security Council Gaza resolution, the Abraham Accords, and speculation about leaders who could play roles in end‑times scenarios. Throughout the episode Jeff and John return to a few core themes: watch for repeating patterns, be skeptical of manufactured narratives, and stay spiritually grounded. The show closes with practical exhortations—pray, love God and neighbor, prepare for accelerated days ahead—and an invitation to tonight's Right On Radio prayer meeting.
