What Next After Genocide-By-Proxy & The Murder Of Diplomacy? The Quest For Peace, Says Daniel McAdams

ILANA believes that America's open, even-energetic support for Israel's genocide in Gaza is a defining event in the annals of American foreign policy, and that this failure is qualitatively different from blunders that went before. In its role in Gaza, Uncle Sam has finally achieved an official or formal inversion of all decent, universal values. Former supporters of Israel, like ilana Mercer, David Vance and Daniel McAdams, Executive Director of the Ron Paul Institute for Peace and Prosperity, are aghast. Can we claw back from the precipice? DAVID believes that US Foreign Policy in almost every respect is self-defeating although perhaps that is the aim. David makes it abundantly clear he supports Israel wiping Hamas off the face of the earth but he does NOT support the mass punishment of the people of Gaza. To ilana's question, “Is Gaza much more than an American foreign-policy failure,” Mr. McAdams, who co-produces and co-hosts the “Ron Paul Liberty Report” with Dr. Paul, replies, however, with considered calm and wisdom. Mr. McAdams proceeds to shepherd viewers of the HARD TRUTH podcast through the ins-and-outs of US foreign policy and the crooked dynamics at play among lobbyists in Washington D.C. and beyond. To counter ilana's gloomy Cassandra—and bolstered by a deep grasp of the American System as it is and as it should be—Daniel melds principle with policy in presenting a way forward: “A prosperous America is profoundly linked to a foreign policy rooted in peaceful relations and trade with all. With peace, comes real prosperity.” Daily, over decades, alongside Dr. Ron Paul and independently; Daniel McAdams has done the work of the Lord in explaining to a stiff-necked people, Americans, why current US foreign policy is antithetical to peace and prosperity; to life and liberty, at home and abroad.   Also try watching the video CONNECT WITH DAVID: DAVID VANCE is one of the most outspoken, fearless political commentators in the UK and bears the scars for it. HARD TRUTH'S David Vance and ilana Mercer have a heated discussion about Iran's April 13 & 14 response to Israel's murder of senior commanders in Damascus, April 1. Ilana details Israel's lengthy illegal, immoral and extra-judicial assassination program https://www.ilanamercer.com/2020/01/u-s-globes-judge-jury-executioner/ against Iranian civilians and military for decades, coupled as it is with Israeli cyberterrorism ongoing against Iran's infrastructure and state apparatus. All this occurs against the backdrop of a USA-led brutal program of sanctions and embargoes, and Israel's US-backed barbarism in Gaza and the West Bank. https://www.ilanamercer.com/2024/03/israel-violation-gods-law-natural-justice-laws-war-customary-international-humanitarian-law/  .  Both agree that the Israel First neocons have always aimed at regime change in Iran. David, however, pushes back on and suggests that darker forces are deliberately pushing global chaos. He suggests that war was wanted with Russia and now war with Iran is being provoked. The US/NATO axis of evil has its DNA all over this – as has the corrupt Netanyahu regime. David and ilana also agree that it was Netanyahu who terrorised his own people with Covid jabs from his Pfizer pals.   Also try watching the video   RELATED READING:  https://www.ilanamercer.com/2024/03/israel-violation-gods-law-natural-justice-laws-war-customary-international-humanitarian-law/   https://www.ilanamercer.com/2020/01/u-s-globes-judge-jury-executioner/ https://www.ilanamercer.com/2012/03/onward-to-iran/   CONNECT WITH DAVID: DAVID VANCE is one of the most outspoken, fearless political commentators in the UK and bears the scars for it! Collateral management remains in the spotlight this year and for good reason - market volatility, rising inflation and interest rates put greater pressure on collateral managers in the form of rising business costs, funding costs and an increase in the volume of margin calls.  In this episode of the DerivSource podcast, Living the Trade Lifecycle, David White, CloudMargin's chief commercial officer, we explore how collateral management operations, despite recent UMR-related investment, are still plagued by many challenges- some internal such as bifurcated processes, reliance on legacy technology and a lack of automation and now in recent months – external challenges due to market conditions. Tune in to hear more about how firms can take their collateral operations to the next level through upgrading their tech stack and utilising tools (e.g., collateral optimisation) to strategically and efficiently navigate turbulent market conditions brought on by rising inflation, interest rates and general volatility. This podcast episode explores:•How macro market conditions (volatility, rising inflation and interest rates) are impacting collateral management right now.•How UMR-related investment in collateral management addressed regulatory compliance but now firms need to address operational challenges in the form of legacy tech, siloed collateral pools, rising costs.•What is optimisation and how can this functionality help firms address challenges related to current market conditions?•How can new technology solutions (Cloud, SaaS) help firms avoid big - multi-year operational overhauls?•Now what and where to start? The report, more a marketing document than a medical report, recommends to “encourage or mandate policies and protocols regarding masking and social distancing in public spaces.” (emphasis added). Today's guest is Rik Mehta, Pharm.D., J.D., biotech entrepreneur, and former consumer safety officer at the U.S Food and Drug Administration. Mehta, who knows first-hand how politics and public policy are intertwined as a former U.S. Senate candidate in New Jersey, discusses how seriously the public should take the report. Genetic progress happens faster today than it did decades ago. Is there an ideal pace? Two Angus producers discuss how they use embryo transfer (ET), artificial insemination (AI) and natural service in their breeding programs, and how they draw on genomic and phenotypic data to make their selections in the first place.“A really good breeder told me about 30 years ago … part of this thing is getting there as fast as you can. He said, just as importantly, never back up. So, you know, try to balance risk and reward,” says Ben Eggers, Sydenstricker Genetics. He and Darin Meyer, De-Su Angus, cover a lot of ground in this one.HOSTS: Mark McCully, Brett Spader, Miranda Reiman GUESTS: Ben Eggers, Sydenstricker Genetics; Darin Meyer, De-Su Angus GUEST BIOS: Ben Eggers has been involved in breeding registered Angus cattle since he acquired his first 4-H project heifer in 1964. He was active in 4-H, FFA and junior Angus, and as he grew up, became one of the youngest members of the Missouri Beef Cattle Improvement Association, while performance testing was in its infancy. He has worked for several Angus breeders through the years, and has been at Sydenstricker Genetics, Mexico, Mo., for 40 years this month. His wife, Darla, handles all the data submission for SydGen. He is a past president of Missouri Cattlemen's Association, the Beef Improvement Federation and the American Angus Association.Darin Meyer grew up on a diversified farm in northeast Iowa, where he gained experience with both dairy cattle and commercial beef cattle. Early on he showed an interest in the genetic side of the business, and his dad allowed him to take ownership in their breeding programs. Since then, he and his family have expanded the dairy business and added a registered Angus herd, forming De-Su Angus with locations in New Albion and Fremont, Iowa, which is the former Summit Crest Iowa farm. They have 1,500 cows, and focus on creating the highest $C cattle, while maintaining function. It's the original maternal breed, but are all Angus cows maternal? “The cows are kind of the employee. They have to show up. It's our job to take care of the cow, it is the cow's job to take care of the calf,” says Joe Lowe, Smiths Grove, Ky. Lowe; Chad Denowh of Sidney, Mont.; and Kelli Retallick-Riley of Angus Genetics Inc. (AGI) discussed what it takes to have cows that work where they live and work further down the line.  The trio talk data, phenotypes, tools they use and ones they wish they had.   Maybe you have some ideas of your own? If so, be sure to find us on social media or drop us a line in the comment box at TheAngusConversation.com.  HOSTS: Mark McCully and Miranda Reiman GUESTS: Chad Denowh, Gartner-Denowh Angus Ranch; Joe Lowe, Oak Hollow Angus; Kelli Retalick-Riley, Angus Genetics Inc.  GUEST BIOS: Chad Denowh, Gartner-Denowh Angus Ranch, has been in the seedstock business from day one. He grew up helping his parents and extended family at their Sidney, Mont., ranch, and returned to the operation after graduating from Montana State University with a degree in animal science. He and his wife, Jenn, and their three daughters make up the fifth and sixth generation of cattlemen raising sires that “go out and get the job done for commercial cattlemen.” They are longtime participants in the Angus Herd Improvement Record (AHIR) program and have taken nearly every step to equip their customers with all the information available from embracing genomic technology to focusing on more difficult to measure traits like foot score.  Joe Lowe is an eighth-generation beef producer in Smiths Grove, Ky., where he and his father own and manage Oak Hollow Angus. The Lowe family was involved in backgrounding, finishing and commercial cow-calf production before Joe's father began the seedstock herd in 1978. Oak Hollow calves in both spring and fall and hosts two on-farm bull sales each year. The breeding philosophy emphasizes data-driven maternal selection for fertility, structural soundness and environmental adaptability to fescue while producing a highly marketable calf crop at all marketing points in the supply chain. Joe received an undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Louisville and a master's in agricultural economics from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, before returning to the operation full time in 2013.  Joe is active with the Kentucky Cattleman's Association and currently serves as Kentucky Beef Council chair.  Kelli Retallick-Riley, president, Angus Genetics Inc. Related Reading:  https://www.angusjournal.net/post/even-better http://www.angusjournal.com/articlepdf/1021-by-the-numbers.pdf http://www.angusjournal.com/articlepdf/0422-by-the-numbers.pdf

Jessie Diggins: Eating Disorder Awareness, Media, and Why What to Say Matters

Heading into the Olympics in February, Jessie Diggins received more media attention than ever before, landing on the cover of Sports Illustrated and having her profile featured on major news outlets like the New York Times. There was an entire category for her career highlights on the Olympic cross country ski tab on NBC's Peacock streaming platform. From all of the coverage focused on Diggins surrounding the Games, one comment in particular received attention and push back from the athlete community. The line in a February 8th story in the NY Times suggested that Diggins looked “like a sprite in her racing suit,” comparing her body to her competitors' who had “massive shoulders and thighs.” It was seen as inaccurate, inappropriate, and potentially harmful to those reading it. To discuss the topic of body comments in sports journalism and why they might be harmful in the broader scope of athlete mental health, the Nordic Nation podcast recently hosted a discussion among the panel of Rosie Brennan, Corrine Malcolm, Brian Metzler, and Nat Herz, who span the breadth of athlete and media representative. Following the conversation, FasterSkier received feedback that the topic had already been given enough attention, and it remained clear that there was not unanimous understanding of why commenting on athletes' bodies was deemed problematic. Seeking to add clarity to this side of the story, along with her own perspective as someone who has experienced an eating disorder and since become an advocate for awareness and support in that realm, Diggins reached out to FasterSkier asking to add her voice to the conversation. To be clear, neither Diggins nor FasterSkier aims to “cancel” NY Times author Matthew Futterman, nor to attack the NY Times for running the comment. The purpose of this discussion was to consider how a comment on an athlete's body might be triggering to a reader who is primed to fall into the eating disorder trap, and how writers, parents, coaches, and teachers can be mindful of the impact and importance of what they say. Diggins also reflects on the 2021/2022 race season and what was an historic string of Olympic appearances. She discusses the success of the US Ski Team as a whole, in particular, the younger generation of athletes like Novie McCabe, Sophia Laukli, Ben Ogden, JC Schoonmaker, and Gus Schumacher, who have transitioned onto the World Cup over the last two seasons and earned spots on the 2022 Olympic Team.  Thanks for listening.Additional Resources and Related Reading & Listening:WithAll Foundation and the What to Say Campaign. "There are people [around you] who are going unaware, unnoticed," says Jackie Hill Perry, "that are teaching things that are not in line with the faith, but you don't see it. Why? Because they look like you."On this episode of Let's Talk, Jackie Hill Perry, Jasmine Holmes, and Melissa Kruger talk about how to identify false teachers as well as the difference between false teaching and mere differences of interpretation. They also talk about how to have a conversation with a friend who follows someone you're concerned may be a false teacher.Related Reading:15 Discernment DiagnosticsCosti Hinn Exposes the Most Abusive Kind of False Teaching Today (podcast)Beware of Broken Wolves

He founded and directs the Convergent Behavioral Science Initiative, which brings together scholars, funders, media, and practitioners to advance behavioral science for design. We discuss the human cognitive bias to try and solve a problem by adding new elements rather than by subtracting pieces from the problem; how deeply-rooted and pernicious this is in both our evolution and our economics, and how it has contributed to the complex and compounding crises in which we find ourselves today; the implications of subtraction thinking for civil engineering, governance and collective behavior; how to communicate a subtraction strategy as a net positive without setting off people's loss aversion alarms; whether it's possible to “subtract” systemic racism and other structural inequalities; and in what ways the evolution of the technosphere will make for future humans both more and less than we are…https://www.leidyklotz.com/If you believe in the value of this show and want to see it thrive, support Future Fossils on Patreon and/or please rate and review Future Fossils on Apple Podcasts! It’s taken months for details about Jamal Sutherland’s death to be released.Only in the last couple of weeks has there been a better understanding of what happened on Jan. 5 at the Al Cannon Detention Center in North Charleston. Late last Thursday, the Charleston County Sheriff’s Office released videos of two deputies using pepper spray, stun guns and other force against Sutherland, a Black mental health patient. Those videos have raised serious questions about how people with mental illnesses are treated by police.Activists are calling for sweeping, long-term changes. They've also called for the two detention deputies involved in Sutherland's death to be fired and criminally charged. Charleston County Sheriff Kristin Graziano, who was sworn into office the day before Sutherland's death in the county jail, announced earlier this week that the deputies had been fired, but it's still unknown whether or not they will be charged. And that's just one of my unanswered questions that remain in this case, as public safety reporter Gregory Yee explains. This week, we break down some of the key facts that we know, the questions that still have not been answered and how local activists are demanding justice. Listen now for more. For more coverage of this story, check the "Related Reading" section of the episode webpage.

It’s time for humankind to grow up — but it might also be more important than ever that we reconnect with our inner children and play like our lives depend on it (because they do). And so, given the in-progress BBC/HBO adaptation of Philip Pullman’s masterful fantasy trilogy His Dark Materials, it feels like a great time to talk about this coming-of-age story and its cosmological questions. This week on Future Fossils, we link up with my friends Stephen Hershey and Kynthia Brunette, whose perspectives from acting and the study of human-computer interaction, as well as their deep fanship of Pullman’s writing, add up to a refreshingly fun and casual discussion of some of the biggest questions human beings ever thought to ask themselves. We talk about how translations from one medium to another affect the way we tell our stories; the media theory and logic of reinterpretation; C.S. Lewis and the important critiques of The Chronicles of Narnia; how Lyra Silvertongue is like and unlike Anakin Skywalker and other complex heroes whose success is the fall of an established social order; evolution in a cosmos where tension and opposition are required, and unity rhetoric deeply suspicious; the collapse of networks and how His Dark Materials anchors in the same archetypes as Dan Simmons’ Hyperion Cantos; 21st Century religion and faith in the absence of objects of faith; and much more. You can follow Stephen Hershey on Twitter (twitter.com/stephenhershey) for hot takes and on Twitch (twitch.tv/stephenhershey) for games and philosophy/astrology talks. You can link up with Kynthia Brunette on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/kynthia) or LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com/in/kynthia/) to learn more about her and her work with MAPS.Please rate and review Future Fossils on Apple Podcasts! Today there is the teaching being promoted in the church, many churches that have prophets, Apostles and Evangelical charismatic churches as well are teaching that there is a Jezebel and Elijah spirit invading the church and believers need to do battle with these spirits. We are being warned to look for these spirits and to do battle with them wherever we find them. My video today deals with the truth of this issue and what does the Word of God directs us to do. We are encouraged to keep our eyes on Jesus. He is the author and finisher of our faith. We are called to utilize the word of faith (sword of the spirit) when necessary to fight the spiritual warfare that is raging all around us. I want to encourage my audience to look to Jesus and to keep our eyes on him and not to go demon hunting! We are not called to chase after evil spirits, we are called to be people of faith and to share the gospel where ever and with whom ever we can. In this episode of the Stratfor Podcast, we take a look at the generational forces driving recent protests across Russia. To put those protest movements in context, we’ll look at the cultural, technological and especially demographic forces at play with Stratfor Senior Eurasia Analyst Eugene Chausovsky. Chausovsky recently authored an insightful analysis on the topic for Stratfor Worldview, our premier digital publication. More than 25-years after the fall of the Soviet Union, this new generation is coming of age across Eurasia, the region it once dominated, and challenging Russia’s long-standing influence there. 2016 proved to be a particularly interesting year on the geopolitical stage. As Stratfor said last year in our annual forecast, "the defining events of 2016 will raise apprehension around the world, leading into what will likely be an even more tumultuous 2017 as an array of developing conflicts comes into sharper focus." To delve deeper into what happened, where things stand and what lies ahead, Stratfor Vice President for Global Analysis Reva Goujon returns to the podcast to discuss our scorecard for 2016. As guest host Cole Altom says, the passage of time is the ultimate vindication so we'll look at lessons learned, Stratfor's unique methodology and a peek at the year ahead.   Then Vice President for Africa Operations Mark Schroeder answers one of our listener questions about the relationship between South Africa and the rest of the continent and Evan Rees from Stratfor's editorial team highlights some of our picks from this year's holiday gift guide.   Have a question or comment for the Stratfor Talks podcast?
