A skilled variety artist in the Los Angeles art scene who made history being the only non-magician ever to be nominated for the Magic Castle Awards. Lindsay mixes classic vaudeville tricks with a theatrical, seductive spin that gives her audience a uniquely memorable experience, like the greats of a bygone era. She started out as an actor, training heavily in the very physical Suzuki acting technique before moving to LA in 2007. She honed her skills as a street performer in San Francisco and at Festivals around the world. Lindsay has graced the stages of the World Buskers Festival in New Zealand, the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and the Brookledge Theater. 

This is the story of Lindsay Benner, performance artist and entertainer extraordinaire. Some have described her as what you would get if Lucille Ball and Charlie Chaplin had a love child ...who likes to juggle! When a job, a relationship, or a tradition ends... how do you know how to properly mourn it? When do you lean into the grief, and when do you pick yourself up, brush yourself off, and start all over again? Today, we welcome performer Lindsay Benner to the show to discuss how the recent loss of her father has affected her life and work. And we share our own little forms of loss and grief recently, too, and how the patterns of our lives shift as we struggle through them. Where do we find sustenance, comfort, and love? How do we perform lives that require us to be under a spotlight when it's hard to smile? How can we #givelove when our hearts are hurting?

Lindsay Benner is a virtuoso entertainer. She uses acting, comedy and juggling to weave together a show like you've never seen before and she's recently launched a vaudeville extravaganza which is touring around Los Angeles called "The Quest For Love" featuring her "Book of Love Show."
