Hello one & all to this episode of the Mentele & The Hayes podcast. Another night out on the town, #2 of this second season & Betsy is already forgetting the new grading system. On a rainy Monday night in Los Angeles Matt & Betsy ventured downtown to the LA Live & surrounding areas. Starting the night off at a historic Los Angeles landmark, a place that claims to never have close since it’s opening in 1924, we have The Original Pantry Cafe. “If you’re a diner & you don’t serve breakfast all day, just close.” Next on the tour of downtown was a bar that is best described as “a punk bar without the punk rock attitude” the Slippery Clutch. Then rounding out the night with a little Honky Tonk at (according to Google) a handsome destination for craft beer served in refined, dark-wood-heavy, vintage surrounds, plus DJs, The Monty Bar. Was this a successful night out? Is an old fashioned better when it’s premade? Does the rain actually make Los Angelians melt like the wicked witch of the west? Tune in to find out. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/mentele-and-the-hayes/support
