On our latest podcast, we have a natter about the episodes of Corrie shown in the UK between the 3rd and the 7th March 2025 (Episodes #11,507 - 11,512). It seems that barely a fortnight can go by at the moment without Corrie treating us to a big, hyped up episode, and after the stabbing, the fire and the kidnapping, this Wednesday saw David counting down the hours to his own demise in a desperate attempt to get Harvey off his back. We're not sure what was faster, to be honest - Andy careening down Rosamund Street towards the heavy-hearted hairdresser or David's rash decision that this was the only way out of the hole he's found himself in, but we had plenty of thoughts about how the episode played out, including poor Daisy's inclusion. Also this week, as Max is sentenced to six years in prison, Dylan settles down into life behind bars himself; Kevin accuses Abi and Ronnie of having an affair; and Yasmeen decides to sell her shares in Speed Daal and move down to London. Next up on the podcast, it's The Kabin, and we're cheering Sam Aston on ahead of his appearance in the Dancing On Ice final this weekend, and we finish things off with more of your feedback. On our latest episode of the podcast, we discuss the goings on in Weatherfield between the 11th and the 15th March (Episodes #11,210 - 11,215). This week, the lion's share of the screen time went to the 'Where's Lauren?' storyline - though this very quickly turned into 'Who Killed Lauren?', at least in DS Swain's eyes, when a police search of the precinct flat finds some compelling evidence that a violent, bloody confrontation has taken place there. We don't seriously think that prime suspects Roy and Daniel have actually got anything to hide here (and nor, we think, are we supposed to), but that didn't stop the whole affair leaving us on the edge of our seats, especially after some brilliant scenes in the interview room! Meanwhile, a new story for Leanne gets underway when she finds herself charmed by the enigmatic leader of Simon's so-called self-help group, who's giving off some seriously culty vibes. If Nirab and the Etheric Foundation don't get at least a shout out as this story progresses, we riot! Also this week, Stu considers letting Eliza go to Germany with Dom, Mason gets charged after his fingerprints are found on the knife, and Gemma objects to Linda's offer to pay for Joseph to go to Oakhill. In the Kabin, we celebrate Ryan Thomas' win on Dancing On Ice and find out what Colson Smith's been up to in the Big Brother House this week, then finish off the show with a bit of listener feedback. Andy and Alex explore what has been called the most missing of Hartnells, The Savages, and find plenty to talk about. Why does Steven perpetually gaslight Dodo and why do Who fans not talk about it? What exactly are the Elders actually extracting from their victims and what is left behind? And, most importantly of all, who would have been a far better candidate to lead the troubled people of this planet? Andy was lucky enough to watch Josh Snares brilliant telesnap restored Episode 1 and the Loose Cannon animations while Alex experiences the fever dream that is a cartoon version of episode 4 in which everyone looks like Ian Chesterton, Dodo has been, er, enhanced, and Steven appears to have taken up ballet. Elsewhere, the Time-Space Visualiser has had an upgrade courtesy of Spotify and can only now play extracts from classic Doctor Who episodes, while this month's quiz answers all begin with the letter Z. Thanks to the wonderfully named Nanina we also have several guest appearances from 90s pop starlet Whigfield. Nanina also inspires us to discuss when Kerry Bishop got killed at a duck shoot in Neighbours and from there we also get to Joe Mangel's time on Dancing On Ice. This month's cover image was lovingly restored and colourised by Clayton Hickman and is reproduced here with his permission. Thanks for listening lovely people. Next Time: The Leisure Hive

I've wanted to interview a professional athlete who was a mum for a while, so Yebin as an ex Team-USA figure skater, and current professional skater on dancing on ice, as well as being mum to Theo and baby Lilia was no exception.I'll be honest, I've always felt a sting of envy watching figure skaters - the sparkly costumes, the music, the romance, and the incredible physical ability of the athletes…. so when I found Yebin and then realised she was a mum, the rest was history and I made it my mission to get her on. Luckily, I didn't have to try very hard, as she is so personable, sweet and lovely - we had one quick phone call where we couldn't stop talking, and that was it. How do you go back to work when you're entire professional career is doing crazy stunts on ice, when you've just had your second c-section and you need to get back into spangly lycra pronto?? Yebin's journey started in South Korea, before she emigrated to Los Angeles at seven years old.It was there she discovered ice skating - yet somehow, she ended up in extremely rainy Manchester with her Doctor slash figure skater love of her life, and 2 babies. It is a great story and if you've ever been curious about this world, this is the episode for you. I don't want to give away too much of this episode because her story is just so interesting, but something she says towards the end really stood out to me. Yebin says that the thing she learned most from motherhood was how she had just stopped ever taking time by herself for granted, and I can't help thinking how completely true this is. And just like Yebin, it's not that I don't want to be with my kids - it's that I want time alone. And yes, I'm aware that this doesn't make any sense. But then, motherhood is kinda like that sometimes. The cliche of craving craving craving time alone, but then missing your kids, is that absolute classic struggle that so many women face - particularly when heading back to work. Yebin's sheer discipline yet with an incredible positive outlook when it comes to her physical recovery after her csections is really inspiring. At the time of recording she was only 3 months postnatal, and already smashing it back out on the ice. Although it seems sparkly, the training Yebin must go through to return to her usual fitness must be gruelling, yet she clearly loves it. As she says in the episode, skating for her is like walking, and you can really hear her love for her job all the way through. I can only imagine that it must be nice to go back to glitz and glamour, and get to take a break away from the yoghurt in the hair and baby throw-up that even Beyonce can't avoid. It's just… mum life. If you're listening to this, you as a mum are obviously taking some time for yourself. Sometimes it can look a bit different to how it looked before, you may be cooking, or pushing the pram - but every little helps. And maybe try and book some in for yourself soon that doesn't involved cooking or pushing a pram. Enjoy this episode - introducing, the sweet and gorgeous, Yebin. The last time some post caused that much chaos was when they left a 'We Tried To Deliver Your Parcel But You Weren't In' card when they were delivering Kem's 4th place certificate for Dancing On Ice. Alex and Olivia Bowen are here this morning to chat about last night's Casa chaos and because it's Throwback Thursday, we take them on a trip into the Love Island archive to have a wee reminisce about their time in the villa (well, the other villa... the one with the massive pool... and all the drama) Ok so from this point on, we will split history into two parts: pre-postcard and post-postcard. Up until this point it's been NO GIRLS ALLOWED (except Chloe) in the main bedroom - but after that postcard the girls have changed tact slightly... mad moves only from this point onwards. In the preview for tonight's episode we saw the boys engaging in some *snogs* - like Alex said, it could have been the best preview we've ever seen. Dunno about you but we can't WAIT to see what goes down tonight. Tweet us using #LoveIslandPodcast if you have something that you want to tell us - and we might just read it out on the podcast, you lucky thing. Got to run, Arielle needs help looking up prices for light aircraft hire.
