Walking for Peace, an inner journey is the award-winning memoir of Mony Dojeiji and Alberto Agraso, pilgrims who met on the Camino de Santiago, and who then embarked on a 5000-km pilgrimage, walking from Rome to Jerusalem, on a 13-month journey that would see them walking through 13 countries. This is the AUDIOBOOK of their award-winning memoir, narrated by Mony, chapter by chapter. Buen Camino and thanks for listening! Mony and Alberto * * * * Story Synopsis: "The course of one's life never unfolds quite as we imagine it would. Mony, a modern successful woman, abandons the security of her corporate career to put on a backpack and walk in the simplicity of a pilgrim along the Camino de Santiago path in Spain. She feels her soul's call to continue on pilgrimage, this time to Jerusalem. Fate orchestrates all the necessary preparations, including an unexpected companion named Alberto. This pilgrimage is quite unlike the well-organized Camino. With no marked paths or yellow arrows to show the way, they buy street maps and make their own path, walking on the open road. There are no pilgrim accommodations. While Mony has savings, Alberto does not. She consents to his idea of seeking shelter in churches and monasteries, as pilgrims of old did before them, gratefully sleeping on whatever they are offered (floors, tables, benches), remembering that the tourist demands and the pilgrim gives thanks. They are humbled by the generosity of strangers, and carry as precious cargo their requests for prayers. Surrender and trust become their daily practice. Following intuition and acting on synchronicities become their yellow arrows. They walk through countries and cultures they know nothing about. They walk through fear and judgment. With each encounter and adversity, their emotional, mental and spiritual understanding expands. Six months later, the walking companions become lovers; but they are not immune to the upheavals of new relationships, and struggle with the meaning of freedom and love. Their 13-month, 5000-km odyssey would lead them to Jerusalem but, more importantly, to what was perhaps the intended, most sacred, destination all along: their true selves, source of all love, wisdom and power. This is a journey of personal transformation and reconciliation, a reminder that all those who follow the siren call of their hearts never walk alone."

This is one of my favourite podcasts. Mony Dejeiji has released a book about walking alone. A pilgrimage of the soul. We talk about believing in your dreams, trusting in your instincts and love and the universe guiding you. I know you're going to love this as much as I do ~ we are pilgrims on the path and in life.
On this episode, I share the story of Zelko, a Serbian man who had driven up and down the road wanting to meet us and to make sure we took away his message of the true heart of the Serbian people. Our encounter with him would be a stand-out moment in our journey, and a reminder to not allow the fears, prejudices and anxieties of others to influence my experience. I hope you enjoy it, and buen camino! Mony P.S. You can also watch the video on youtube.com/monydojeiji or facebook.com/monydojeijiTV.
Mony is the international award-winning co-author of WALKING FOR PEACE, AN INNER JOURNEY, the memoir chronicling her 5000-km, 13-month journey of personal transformation across 13 countries. Her quest for a life with purpose began when she abandoned a lucrative career in the software industry and the successes her MBA afforded her, to adopt the life of a simple pilgrim. For over a year she walked, her belongings in a backpack, trusting her intuition and the path she was walking. With no fixed plans or goals, every day was a journey into the unknown and the marvels, and fears, that awaited her. Those experiences and life lessons form the foundation of her popular presentations, and publications. With her pilgrim husband, she creates and publishes books and artwork that transform. She is the Host and Producer of Ottawa Experts on Rogers TV, and works privately with individuals seeking to walk through life with purpose and confidence.
Jesse interviews Mony Dojeiji and Alberto Agraso - who developed Walking For Peace. They have co-authored several books including "Walking For Peace, An Inner Journey. Alberto also inspires the world through his creative skills and artistic endeavors; where he creates sculptures, illustrations, comics, paintings, and sketches which include soul portraits. Together they are pilgrims who have chosen to dedicate their life's journey to the inner transformation, to awakening the sacred within and sharing its gifts with the world. They each walked the 800-kilometre Camino in northern Spain and, later that same year, another 5000 kilometres from Rome to Jerusalem on a pilgrimage for peace that lasted 13 months and took them through 13 countries. Their experiences form the basis of their belief that change begins within, and that action grounded in a consciousness of love is the most powerful elixir to heal all that is wounded in our world. Walking for Peace was an inspiring story about two friends who were frustrated with the rat race and decided to abandon it and agreed to the challenge; walking across the European continent through 17 countries hiking along the path that the apostle’s and servants of the past traveled seeking the mysteries of inner peace and questioning the unknown. Along their journey their beliefs were shattered and replaced with many stranger’s kindnesses and gifts of gratitude that brought tears and joy to their hearts and a new found knowledge of spiritual truth. Mony Dojeiji and Alberto Agraso walked for peace for 13 months through 13 countries covering over 5000 kilometers. Mony is of Lebanon descent and was raised to be leery, all due to the conflict in the Middle East. She is skeptical and was raised to be enriched only with the simple pleasures of life; shelter, food, warmth and clothing. On her trek she is meet with obstacles that could’ve broken her will, but acknowledges she needs to strip herself of all worldly opinions, beliefs and hurts believing only in her inner-conscious to guide her to the right path of enlightenment and spread the message of peace. The man, Alberto starts out as a friend who is also called to abandon the earthly realm and seek peace, adhering also to the inner wisdom to the purpose of life and what is beyond the earthly plain. He walks as a pilgrim, declares his truth of finding the light, and the Supreme Being that lies inside one another … and he shares this message with others on his journey … breaking through the walls of hatred and distrust among the warring nations and people in general. There is conflict between Mony and Alberto which adds excitement to the story. This is a complex tale with many messages intertwined in the pages; the final message unconditional love will conquer all.
