Marcus, Jim, Andy and Pete look ahead to a truly seismic Europa League final between Man United and Spurs, which boils down to two bald men fighting to the death over a £100m comb. Before that though, we've got a couple of last night's victory laps from Kevin De Bruyne and Crystal Palace to pore over - it seems Omar Marmoush has gladly took up the “smash bangers in from thirty yards” mantle. Unlock the secrets of honor, strength, and wisdom through Miyamoto Musashi's 21 Principles for Life, a timeless guide to resilience and personal growth. We explore how his teachings transcend materialism and emotional dependence, drawing parallels with modern warriors like Jocko Willink. Anxiety, Arrogance, & Walking Alone
Dawn led off the Dawn Stensland Show by welcoming in Brit Patterson along with her attorney David DeLugas onto the Dawn Stensland Show, after telling her story yesterday. Dawn rehashed the conversation from our previous show, revealing that Brit Patterson is the woman in Georgia who's been unfairly arrested and charged after he child was seen walking alone to the Dollar Store while she was at a doctor's appointment with her other son. Patterson tells her story, with interjections from DeLugas with ParentsUSA, an organization dedicated to protecting parental rights.
It happened in GA. The gofundme has crossed the original goal.

In this loaded and much anticipated episode, we begin with a review of the games from last week with special emphasis on Arsenal's late victory over Manchester United (2:17) and Manchester City's comeback over Tottenham Hotspurs (10:12). We also gloss over the results from other matches (16:20) and discuss the situation at Everton leading to the ultimate yet expected sacking of Frank Lampard (23:20). Our guest this week, Samuel Abu who is Liverpool fan, provides some insight into the situation at the club on why they are walking away from the champions league spots as it stands (34:05). We hope you enjoy it as we clearly had fun recording it. TL;DR: Oluwaseun was bantered for United's loss, last game-week results were discussed and we had a Liverpool fan on this episode who was bantered for walking alone this season. Notes: This is the determined, comforting chorus of Shireen Amini's song, "We're Not Walking Alone". I love 'walking music' -- and this is one of my go-to's when I'm looking for an up-tempo walk. I'll sing the different parts consecutively, and if I can rope a co-walker into singing one of the parts, even better! Shireen says nature is the "enwrapping companion" that lets her own answers arise. The first verse of this song is, "When we stop trying to force all the answers -- 'cause they never will come from the mind -- they will come from a place that is peaceful; take a walk on the land, they will arise." I love the sense that the land itself is willing to care and tend us, and is, in the deepest sense, our home. Songwriter Info: Shireen Amini (non-binary human using she in English / elle in Spanish) is a queer, Puerto Rican-Iranian, Earth-loving singer-songwriter, performer, percussionist and teaching artist. With a BA in Ethnomusicology from UCLA and a certificate in Sound, Voice, and Music Healing from CIIS in San Francisco, Shireen has also come to believe strongly in music as a tool for personal and collective transformation. As a songleader, Shireen loves to share medicine songs with healing and empowering messages, infectious grooves, and soulful melodies, often engaging her participants in rhythmic play and movement while singing. She also offers music classes, facilitation, and coaching for her local and virtual communities through her project Shireen Amini Music Medicine. Women should not feel unsafe walking home alone at night and but recent attacks resulting tragically in the UK deaths of Zara Aleena, Sarah Everard, Sabina Ness, and many others, may have heightened your sense of fear if you are walking home late at night, even if it is in an area that you are familiar with. In this episode, I share with my guest speaker - Kristin Juarez, my recent concern when walking on my own from the underground station to my home after attending a network event one evening. Kristin, living in the US, discusses how personal safety is paramount and after having repeated amber alerts on her phone regarding missing children often teen/tween girls, seeing so many pictures in the newspaper “have you seen me” with an “age-progressed” photo of what a young girl might look like as an adult. And after hearing about so much violence against women, wishes that more women and parents of younger girls would consider taking a self-defence class, or some type of martial arts class. Self defence not only prepares you mentally for challenges within your life, but also equips you with skills that could help you defuse what could be a dangerous situation and escape from a perpetrator, when walking alone late at night. About Kristin B. Juarez Kristin lives in the US and was inspired to take up a kickboxing class for herself, after her son started Tae Kwon Do lessons. Kristin who has osteoarthritis in her hands started without much by way of stamina, or ability, and has now been taking classes for 3-4 years, usually at least twice a week. Her wish is that more women consider taking a self-defence class or some type of martial arts class. She feels that there is a lot of benefit to be gained in: confidence, mental health and physical health as well as equip you with skills that may help save your life.

Sometimes you have to walk alone to unlock your blessings. Lets dive deep into why.
The Founder of SafeUP Neta Schreiber's girlfriend disappeared at a party and was later found in a room half-naked, struggling to escape two men. Neta created this App SafeUP as a result of this scary experience. The statistic for assault and rape is scary high. According to the CDC: 1 in 5 women have experienced actual or attempted rape in their lifetime and a real breeding ground for this problem is on college campuses. Imagine walking down a dark street, or being on a college campus and feeling scared. Side note: College Campus statistics are very very underreported. It might help to know you are just one click away from support and protection, on the phone or in person. That possibility is now provided by an Israeli app called SafeUP. SafeUp took part in Israel's 8200 Impact accelerator program. Special attention was placed on companies tackling domestic violence & women's rights. First launched in Israel, the app was co-founded by Neta Schreiber, who became interested in safety tools after her friend went missing at a house party about a decade ago. "My friend and I searched for her in a panic, and, as we headed upstairs, we heard her voice amidst a group of men's voices. " We went into one of the rooms & there they were—the men and our friend, half-naked, fighting them." The assailants fled once the friends stepped in. "We managed to get there just in time," Schreiber said. "Luck and women saved my friend that night. SafeUp is launching in the USA, UK, & many other countries. Join me for this inspiring story; it's the best nine minutes you'll spend today. Please do 3 things: Subscribe to our podcast through your favorite platform.Share this episode with a few of your friends today.Visit our website at http://findinginspiration.lifeThis episode covers:Brilliant idea to use the phone as a useful safety weapon. The first, "walk & talk," enables women to find support through a phone conversation with a guardian when they feel uncomfortable or insecure in public. The second solution on the app is called "help now." It is designed for situations where a user finds herself in real and immediate danger, connecting her to three different trained women (guardians) within 500 meters who can evaluate the situation and decide whether to arrive at the scene or call the police. The SafeUP app is a social network in which women and girls can connect and look out for each other whenever they feel unsafe, encounter any real (or potential) danger, and require support, guidance, or physical assistance. Lime has partnered with SafeUP to provide community members with a tool to transport safely while feeling empowered and in control. One of the key points here is that we all have our phones. They're with us 24 hours a day. And in the SafeUp app, the guardian can see your live location.Amazing Informative Links:https://www.safeup.co/https://austonia.com/safeup-austin-launchhttps://www.bestcolleges.com/resources/sexual-assault-on-campus/https://www.calcalistech.com/ctech/articles/0,7340,L-3899312,00.htmlhttps://www.globalcitizen.org/en/content/safeup-co-founder-neta-schrieber-interview/
This episode has been created in the light of the recent murder of Sabina Nessa who was killed taking a 5 minute walk to the pub at night, the murder of Sarah Everard early this year who also was walking alone at night when she was killed as well as the 100s of women who have similar stories who have all fallen victim of the same heinous crime. In the United Kingdom, we are currently facing what much of the media is now recognising as a femicide in our country. Statistics show that between 2009 and 2019 , a women was killed by a man in a similar way every three days.We have normalised the emphasis to need to text each other when we get home after departing on our journeys back to our respective houses, The fear of being attacked, harassed or both are so real that this is an automatic phrase every woman across the world will say to their female companions. How did we as a global community get here? And better yet, how can we start doing our part to change this? What changes are possible when we reclaim our divine feminine power so that being a woman does not automatically equate being someone's prey if we are alone regardless of where you live on the planet?Don't forget to take a screenshot whilst you're listening to the episode - share it on your FB and/or IG stories and tag me @thehealingroseholistics : ).
