This week on #IntotheCosmos, your hosts Ej Garr and Frank Dell'Apa review last weekend's 3 - 0 over Miami, and get us set for the big match at Clarke Field against The Eddies in round seven of the NASL Spring campaign. The guys sit down with Seba, who of course is Sebastian Guenzatti who wears the 13 jersey for the Cosmos, as he has since 2013. Seba has enjoyed two titles with the club, and has also had the pleasure of working out with La Liga side Malaga in preparation for last year's season. Seba talks about his love of Uruguay, and the possibilities of playing with the national team as we approach the Copa America 100th edition of the tournament that starts in June here in the United States. Seba will be at the match being played in Philadelphia between Uruguay and Venezuela in the South American based event, but for now his concentration is on finishing the Spring portion of the year with the lone playoff spot that comes with first place in the NASL. The Cosmos currently hold that top spot entering the round of action, and a big win in Edmonton to follow up the win in Miami, is exactly what the doctor ordered for the NY Cosmos.
Welcome to the #IntotheCosmos team podcast, as we arrive to week three in the NASL Spring portion of the campaign. The Cosmos have taken all six points from their first two outings of the year, and are coming off another impressive performance against the Jacksonville Armada this past weekend at Shuart Stadium. Our guest this week is nominated for Goal of the Week in the NASL, as Adam Moffat joins Ej and Frank to talk about the goal, which was assisted by Niko Kranjcar just outside the Armada 18 yard box. Adam also discusses his time in the MLS, the injuries that held him out of last year's post season, while giving us some insight on the preparation for four road games over the next five contests for the NY Cosmos. Vote for Adam's goal on the NASL home page, and get prepared for the big outing with Indy Eleven this weekend! Indy and the Cosmos have met six times over the past two seasons, and neither club has taken three points from the other. Six draws have played out all six times the two have met. Catch the match at Michael A Carroll Stadium (The Mike) Saturday at 7:30 PM ET on One World Sports!
Nach and Jeff get through the last week of off-season news before getting to their NASL Spring season table predictions and their picks for the winners in week 1!
