On this episode, Clay spends a significant portion of the show breaking down the viral video of Dasha Kilpatrick, a Texas massage therapist who got into a heated confrontation with two Muslim women at an HEB grocery store. After being selectively edited and doxxed online by activist “Tizzy,” Kilpatrick was fired from her job — but a GiveSendGo fundraiser launched in her support has already raised over $159,000. Clay defends Kilpatrick's comments, calling her a hero for speaking out and criticizing the selective editing and cancel culture tactics used against her. He also addresses the broader issue of Islam and its incompatibility with Western values. Clay is also joined in studio by recently retired 30-year law enforcement veteran Creston Berch. Together they discuss the Senatobia, Mississippi officer-involved shooting where a one-year-old child was killed after his mother allegedly tried to run over police following a shoplifting incident. They break down the “fog of war” that officers face in split-second decisions and push back against the narrative being pushed by activists and Ben Crump. The show also covers a female police officer in Canada who accidentally shot a civilian during a mass shooting, as well as several other culture war topics including MLB players writing Bible verses on their Pride Night hats and Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson focusing on “transfemicide” while his city saw dozens shot over the weekend. It's another raw, unfiltered episode of The Clay Edwards Show.

These situations are difficult precisely because they rarely involve a choice between something that is clearly right and something that is clearly wrong. More often, leaders find themselves choosing between two priorities that are both important, both defensible, and both worthy of attention. In these situations, not only must leaders determine where to allocate resources, but they must also manage the internal tensions that frequently emerge when different people, teams, or departments become closely aligned with one side of the trade-off or the other. Throughout my tenure as a CEO, I repeatedly encountered situations like these. This week, we explore seven specific examples of these leadership trade-offs, and why I believe they are among the most difficult decisions that leaders are asked to make.

The entire startup ecosystem is racing to build agent harnesses. Logan Kilpatrick, who leads Google AI Studio and the Gemini API, argues that scramble has a roughly 12-month shelf life. Models will absorb the scaffolding and run it natively, so the edge moves elsewhere. Google's own bet runs in parallel: a single agent harness, born from the Windsurf team and now called Antigravity, has become the connective tissue across search, the Gemini app, Cloud, and AI Studio — the role Gemini-the-model used to play. Logan makes the case that coding already feels like narrow superintelligence, and that "jagged" vertical superintelligence (in math, finance, and science) will arrive well before AGI. He argues Google's real goal is maximizing outcomes for users, not eyeball time. He unpacks Omni, the single model built to replace multiple separate systems Google once trained for text, audio, music, image, and video. His throughline: AI is an accelerant for human ambition, not a substitute for it. Hosted by Sonya Huang, Sequoia Capital

Importantly, he argues that this is true at both a personal and organization level. In our conversation today we discuss how those who are achievement oriented often have a hard time digesting this reality, how bosses and Boards of Directors can create environments where failure is tolerated but not necessarily actively encouraged, the role that egos tend to play in organizational failures, what a good post-mortem and pre-mortem sounds like, what “learning” from a failure actually looks like at a highly tactical level, why success can breed over-confidence and blind spots (including how to spot common warning signs in advance), and how to balance the importance of persistence with the wisdom of knowing when it's time to make a change.

In episode 113 of the Medical Nursing Podcast, I'm doing something different - something I've never done in history of the show. I'm bringing a vet on to chat with us. This isn't a clinical episode, though we do chat a little bit of internal medicine (it's impossible not to when you get a medicine RVN and a medic together!). It's a conversation that I think we ALL need to have, about what vets really think of our role, our knowledge, and our skills - and how vets and nurses can work together to improve both of our roles. Scott Kilpatrick is a veterinary surgeon and specialist in internal medicine. Scott is not only a vet, but also a vet who works very closely with veterinary nurses and technicians, and couldn't do his job without them. And, when not working in clinical practice, he's one of the directors at VTX - a CPD company tirelessly championing veterinary nursing.  If you've ever felt disheartened by a 'vet-nurse divide' or felt unsure on how to approach your vets about something - using your skills, suggesting a treatment for a patient, or sharing your opinion about a case - I know you'll get so much value from this conversation. --- About Scott:

What if everything you thought you knew about credit card debt wasn't the full story? In this bold and thought-provoking episode of the Find Your Leadership Confidence Podcast, host Vicki Noethling sits down with Tommy Kilpatrick to explore his unconventional approach to challenging bank-issued credit card debt. Tommy shares his personal journey and the turning point that led him to question traditional financial systems. He explains why he refers to certain credit card balances as “alleged debt,” and discusses his belief that some forms of debt may be legally disputable if handled in a specific way. Throughout the conversation, Vicki asks the questions many listeners are thinking: • How does this process work? • What makes a debt “real” versus “alleged”? • Isn't a credit card a contract? • Is a revolving line of credit legally the same as a loan? • What happens when you challenge a bank directly? This episode is not financial or legal advice — it is a conversation designed to explore alternative perspectives, encourage critical thinking, and empower listeners to better understand the systems that impact their financial lives. As always, leadership begins with awareness. Whether you agree or disagree, this episode invites you to think independently, ask better questions, and take ownership of your financial decisions. Her side hustle? Dealing out petty revenge for people seeking justice. Her work hits a snag when she can't seem to crack the soon-to-be-ex-husband of one of her clients. He defies every expectation her client has created, and proves Stella's expectations of men wrong so many times that she starts to question her cynical ways.Kilpatrick and I discussed the inspiration for the novel - another person in power getting away with things they shouldn't because of money - as well as the inspiration for the leading man, Malone. What if the key to tomorrow's lesson lives in what lit you up at age seven? We bring back Tommy Kilpatrick to turn that early spark into practical, compassionate teaching—linking identity, choice, and classroom design. Together, we unpack a simple ten-minute exercise to replay your earliest memories and name the gift you were eager to share. That clarity becomes a compass for lesson tweaks you can implement this month, aligning activities with purpose and giving students a language for who they are becoming. We also explore a set of powerful “forks” that shape behavior: whether you see yourself as a spirit having a human experience, a human seeking herd safety, or a human reaching for spiritual connection. Each choice expands or contracts your field of courage. Tommy demonstrates how educators can coach struggling learners by broadening their perspective, guiding them to choose love over fear, and teaching them to reassess when a path closes. The conversation stays grounded with three concrete practices: a personal habit of gratitude and giving, a classroom move that defuses conflict by affirming and then guiding, and a team ritual that pairs courage with compassion to define maturity.Throughout, we return to a working definition of love—“I give”—and mercy as extreme kindness, turning classroom management into human development. We close by inviting you to sketch your own owner's manual: a living set of axioms, forks, and practices that keep your teaching aligned with your deepest values.Listen, pick one idea, and put it into motion this week. In this episode, Jackie sat down with Tommy Kilpatrick to explore his book, Human Occidental Owner's Manual, and translate big human questions into practical habits for teachers, creators, and lifelong learners. Using a crisp computer setup analogy, we reset our defaults: location determines time, identity shapes action, and context beats assumptions. From there, we unpack communication through vivid sports metaphors that actually change how you host conversations. Conversation plays like tennis with cooperative volleys, debate ranges from elegant fencing to MMA intensity, dialogue becomes chess for co-solving, and discussion moves like rugby with many roles carrying the ball. We also map single-voice modes—lecture, rant, sermon, story—and show how choosing the right mode prevents conflicts and keeps teams, classes, and families aligned. We close with the “first fork,” the early identity choice that silently guides a life. Write one sentence for each of the four essential human questions, choose your fork for the week, and watch momentum return. If this conversation helped you reset your settings, subscribe, share it with a colleague, and leave a review to help others find the show. What's the first question you'll answer today?

We are thrilled to welcome David Kilpatrick, Professor Emeritus at the State University of New York at Cortland and one of the most influential voices in reading research, assessment, and instruction, to the podcast. In our chat, Dr. Kilpatrick breaks down decades of research and gets straight to the heart of what really drives reading success—especially for students with dyslexia. He tackles one of the biggest myths in education: that phonemic awareness is just an early skill you “check off” and move past. Instead, you'll discover why advanced phoneme proficiency is the engine behind orthographic mapping and automatic word recognition, and why it matters far beyond the primary grades. What we hope you'll take away from this is a clarity about which phonemic awareness skills truly move the needle, how to integrate them powerfully with phonics instruction, and how assessment can help you target instruction with precision. If you've ever wondered whether going back to phonemic awareness with older students means going backward, this episode will completely reframe that thinking. When you strengthen advanced phonemic awareness, you give students with dyslexia the foundation they need to become confident, capable readers—and that changes everything. David A. Kilpatrick, PhD is a professor emeritus of psychology for the State University of New York at Cortland and currently serves as Adjunct Lecturer in Psychology. He is a New York State certified school psychologist with 28 years experience in schools. He has been teaching courses in learning disabilities and educational psychology since 1994. David is a reading researcher and the author of two books on reading, Essentials of Assessing, Preventing, and Overcoming Reading Difficulties, and Equipped for Reading Success, and is a co-editor of a third, Reading Development and Difficulties: Bridging the Gap Between Research and Practice. Today we're diving deep into the wild world of credit cards and how the banking system might just be pulling the wool over our eyes! Our guest, Tommy Kilpatrick, brings a fresh perspective on how we've been indoctrinated into thinking that credit card debt is something we have to bear without question. He shares his personal journey from being buried under $85,000 in credit card debt to discovering that the banks might not even have a legitimate claim on those debts. We discuss the idea that many of us have been misled about what credit really means and how to reclaim our financial power. Get ready for some eye-opening insights and maybe a few laughs as we explore what it means to truly understand and navigate our finances in today's world!Takeaways: The banks often operate under a system that some view as fraudulent, where they manipulate money and debts without proper invoices or agreements, which can mislead consumers. Understanding credit cards is crucial; many people might not realize that they are often treated like gift cards, which leads to confusion about debt and financial responsibility. It's highlighted that consumer behavior, like applying for credit cards, can lead to a cycle of debt that benefits banks but leaves individuals financially vulnerable and confused. This conversation with Tommy A. Kilpatrick completely reframed how I see credit-card debt, banking systems, and financial sovereignty. Tommy shares how his $85,000 in "credit-card debt" mysteriously vanished after he took his case to federal court—without tax repercussions. He explains how modern banking practices create an illusion of debt, why language like "alleged credit-card debt" matters legally, and how you can reclaim your sovereignty by understanding financial fraud at its root. We also explore Tommy's decade-long vow of poverty, his spiritual awakening, and his current humanitarian work in the Philippines—teaching farmers to build bamboo domes, grow vertical gardens, and create self-sufficient communities. His vision for humanity is practical, creative, and profoundly spiritual.   ✨ In this episode, we discuss: The spiritual transformation that led Tommy Kilpatrick to walk away from wealth What really happens behind the scenes in the credit-card system The language that binds us to financial illusions Sovereignty, faith, and the power of living by divine trust Tommy's blueprint for self-sustaining, debt-free communities   If you're struggling with debt or yearning for true freedom, this episode offers a radical new perspective.   I invite you to explore karagoodwin.com for my book Your Authentic Awakening, free meditations, and upcoming summits and workshops.   Tommy's website: https://www.diy-debtrelief.com/  Your likes, shares, comments, and subscriptions truly help this content thrive and ripple high-frequency awareness across the planet. Enjoy this illuminating conversation!   Bio: Retired American living in the Philippines teaching farmers how to build dome structures with bamboo, vertical gardening, and to open free Self-Managed Health Care clinics. Born and raised in California. Double major: Abnormal Psychology and Accounting. Author, teacher, entrepreneur, 28 year marriage ended, became homeless (on purpose) and vow of poverty (for 10 years), living on farms on the East coast and walks in faith with God. Tommy A. Kilpatrick wrote a book on health and healing and in 2004 he signed an infomercial contract. For six months he was booked on radio shows as a test and used his three credit cards to survive. There was another author who got into trouble with the FTC and our infomercial company. The new talent's contracts were cancelled and he was stuck with $85,000 of credit card debt. He sued his three banks in federal court, by himself. Did he win? Cases were dismissed by the judge. Did he lose? Well, the alleged debt was removed from his credit report and there was no 1099-C sent to the IRS. Kilpatrick believes people are suffering under $1.3 trillion of bank-issued alleged credit card debt, which is not a debt and can be eliminated by the bank within 45 days.

Its steep roof pushed low over the second floor mitigates the overall building height, while a select, few dormer windows expand the interior volume on the second floor and further contribute to the home's traditional character. In general, the architecture is sharply detailed and stripped of ornament. Interior moldings were replaced with gentle curves and rolled edges which are a tip of the cap to traditional detailing, while providing a decidedly modern aesthetic.Situated on a lot accessible by two opposite streets, the diagram is organized to restrict vehicular and ADU tenant access to the rear of the lot, while pedestrians enter from the front. Tommy Kilpatrick – Welcome to Tommy Kilpatrick's approach to dealing with bank-issued alleged credit card debt by challenging its legitimacy. After writing a successful book, Kilpatrick signed a contract with an infomercial company. For six months, he promoted his book, anticipating a huge monthly payout. However, that didn't happen. Kilpatrick was left with $85,000 in credit card debt. He was stunned and depressed until he had an epiphany: a bank-issued credit card isn't a true credit card, and no real debt exists because a promissory note was never signed. He then sued all three banks in federal court, representing himself. While the judge dismissed the cases, Kilpatrick still won. The entire debt was completely removed from his credit report, with no negative marks or tax implications. Kilpatrick's legal filings argued that because the banks had no invoice or promissory note, there was no contract and therefore no debt. With total U.S. credit card debt over a trillion dollars, Kilpatrick's story offers a compelling alternative. He explains how people can send a letter to their bank to close the associated checking account and potentially become debt-free within 45 days. For more, visit: https://www.diy-debtrelief.com/Send us a textSupport the show Contact me at: postcardstotheuniverse@gmail.com Shout out and follow on IG - @postcardstotheuniverse https://linktr.ee/postcardstotheuniverse Thank you and keep listening for more great shows!
