Jon Kol, founder of Hyperlane, joins Sam Kamani to dive deep into one of crypto's biggest challenges—interoperability. From his days at Morgan Stanley to building Hyperlane, Jon shares how they're enabling any chain to communicate with any other through permissionless, modular frameworks. He explains why monolithic architectures can't scale, how modular security flips the bridge security model, and why interchain accounts will redefine how users interact with Web3. If you're building across chains, this episode is a must-listen.Key Timestamps[00:00:00] Introduction: Sam introduces Jon Kol and the mission of Hyperlane—interoperability for every chain.[00:01:00] Early Crypto Days: Jon shares his Bitcoin and Ethereum rabbit hole moment at Morgan Stanley.[00:03:00] From Wall Street to Web3: Why he left traditional finance to help rebuild the internet of value.[00:06:00] Why Hyperlane: The realization that one chain can't serve global finance—and the need for scalable communication.[00:08:00] Building Blocks: The philosophy behind Hyperlane and how it differs from LayerZero, Cosmos, etc.[00:10:00] Modular Interoperability: Any chain, any VM—Hyperlane can connect them all.[00:12:00] Security First: How Hyperlane's modular security avoids the “one breach risks all” trap.[00:14:00] Defense in Depth: Let developers stack their own security modules and future-proof integrations.[00:18:00] Use Cases: From DeFi bridges to governance, interchain AMMs, and yield routing via Superform.[00:22:00] Interchain Accounts: Why the future is one wallet, infinite access—regardless of chain or VM.[00:26:00] The Stablecoin Pain Point: Fragmentation across chains and the case for gasless, one-click stablecoin transfers.[00:30:00] Lessons Learned: What Jon would do differently—don't wait for others, build use cases in-house.[00:34:00] 2025 Vision: Interoperability becomes invisible—users stay on one chain, access anything cross-chain.[00:36:00] The Ask: Hyperlane is hiring builders who want to fix fragmentation and unlock Web3's next layer.Connecthttps://hyperlane.xyz/https://x.com/hyperlanehttps://www.linkedin.com/in/jon-kol-4bb37a9b/https://x.com/thepalenimbusDisclaimerNothing mentioned in this podcast is investment advice and please do your own research. “DWARF PLANET Octave Stargoals”This special presents the dynamic consciousness of three dwarf planets and their three lower octave planets. Jupiter and Quaoar, Saturn and Varuna, with Uranus and Makemake. These new energies beyond Neptune in the Kuiper Belt operate according to one's ability of awareness. Regardless, the path strives towards one of recognizing deep and perhaps unseen patterns within. On a spiritual direction, their transits offer deep transformative development integrating our emotions, heart and soul,” said Sue Minahan, founder, and host of weekly show. “And example is that Mercury is the lower octave of Uranus, so is Makemake the higher of Uranus. The mercurial focus of communication and connection bridges into the Uranian focus on elevating humanity to advocating for one's cultural group in Makemake through a winning achievement involving mentors. These are complex, but enlarge another arena which affects us on various levels.”Joining Talk Cosmos founder and eclectic evolutionary astrologer Sue Rose Minahan of Kailua Kona, Hawai'i will be special guest Melissa Elvira Billington of Brisbane, Australia. Fifty-three years ago, on March 31, 1972, the Soviet Union launched a spacecraft that was supposed to go to Venus. But it never made it to Venus. Some malfunction in the rocket prevented it from leaving the earth's orbit. The Soviets named this spacecraft Cosmos 482—which became code in Soviet lexicon for epic failure. For 53 years, the spacecraft that could never make it to Venus circled the earth. Year after year never getting to where it was meant to go. Year after year stuck in a perpetual orbit. But it turns out that every year it lost a little bit of height in its orbital wanderings so that, last Saturday, on Shabbos, Cosmos 482 could finally find rest. Last Saturday, Cosmos 482 fell back to the earth, into the sea, without causing harm to people or property.I am not a space person. I don't follow NASA. But the minute I heard this crazy story, I thought to myself: There is a sermon in that! Because what happened to Cosmos 482 happens to every one of us in our own way.
Epicenter - Learn about Blockchain, Ethereum, Bitcoin and Distributed Technologies
Blockchain architecture is constantly being forced to adapt to new technologies, as well as to meet new demands from users and builders. While the idea of apps building their own chains was first explored by Cosmos, it lacked the support and tooling to see it succeed. Later on, rollups also took the centerstage of Ethereum's scaling roadmap, but due to their general purpose design, it led to a cannibalistic ecosystem. Initia learned from these 2 models and combined the best of both worlds: it built a full-stack framework for a seamless DevEx from the get-go and, more importantly, it designed its tokenomics in order to ensure maximum incentive alignment for its appchains. While the former decision removed the need for each separate chain to reinvent the wheel and risk ending up ‘a jack of all trades, master of none', the latter ensured that appchains would not extract value away from the L1.Topics covered in this episode:Ezaan's backgroundFrom building on Terra to InitiaHow Initia is rewriting the appchain thesisInitia's enshrined liquidity & vested interest program (VIP)Metrics & Initia's bet on crypto innovationSolving liquidity fragmentationDelphi's involvement in InitiaFuture roadmapEpisode links:Ezaan Mangalji on XJose Maria Macedo on XAnil Lulla on XInitia on XDelphi Digital on XDelphi report on InitiaSponsors:Gnosis: Gnosis builds decentralized infrastructure for the Ethereum ecosystem, since 2015. Are relationship structures intended by the Cosmos to be one size fits all? Or do variations actually serve the evolution of love? In this wildly intimate and emotional revelation, we share the story of how the sacred union with my wife Vylana expanded to include our beloved Alana Beale. This is not a prescription, it is a description of what has worked for us to allow us to live a life of radical commitment, and total freedom. Dr. Marc Gafni, our esteemed teacher joins us to discuss the philosophical underpinnings behind this evolution of love, that we hope will expand the boundaries of what is possible. Mormonism has been stereotypically conceived of as a patriarchal, heteronormative religion, from its past polygamy to its male-only priesthood. But what happens if you apply a queer studies lens to the faith? This task was taken up by Kalamazoo College's Chair of Religion Taylor G. Petrey in his recent book, Queering Kinship in the Mormon Cosmos. On today's episode of Scholars & Saints, Dr. Petrey discusses the results of such an analysis with host Nicholas Shrum, focusing particularly on deep relationships of care known as kinship. From considering the gendered inter-relations of the Godhead to the role of Heavenly Mother, Dr. Petrey seeks to open up the world of Mormon theology to consider new cosmologies for underrepresented people groups. To find out more about Dr. Petrey and his upcoming projects, click here.

Welcome to the Poetic Resurrection Podcast. I'm Sonia Iris Lozada—poet, voice, soul traveler. Today's offering is a moment of stillness and remembrance. A breath into the vastness within us… and around us. What if your body wasn't just matter… but a shimmering map of memory? What if your cells knew how to dance the cosmos? Reading of “Cosmos” from Inspire Me: Awakening Dreams. We are not just bodies. We are stardust stories. Every ache, every joy—encoded into light. This poem came through as a reminder: We don't have to hold ourselves together so tightly. Sometimes, the breaking is how we remember. Sometimes, the scattering is how we reconnect. When you feel lost… maybe you are simply orbiting — in motion, becoming. And when you return to yourself, you bring the wisdom of the stars. You are the cosmos. Shimmering. Expanding. Returning. Thank you for joining me in this moment. If this touched something in you, I invite you to sit with it… breathe with it… or share it with someone whose soul might need it. You can find more of my poetic transmissions, including my book Inspire Me: Awakening Dreams, on my website at poeticresurrection.com. Until next time… Walk gently. Speak soul. This episode of Practical Stoicism dives into the thought-provoking yet concise Meditations 4.2 by Marcus Aurelius. I explore what it means to act with purpose and how the Stoic tradition invites us to examine our actions not by their strict planning but by their alignment with Virtue. I argue that taking time to rest or reconnect with nature is not inherently aimless if it serves the goal of living well. I also reflect on a listener's question about why I choose not to use skin-tone-specific emojis, connecting this personal choice to Stoic principles of identity and focus. The conversation touches on the dangers of over-identification with external labels and the value of keeping one's attention on what truly matters: our role as rational participants in the Cosmopolis. MEDITATIONMeditations 4.2 — “Nothing that is undertaken is to be undertaken without a purpose, nor otherwise than according to a principle which makes the art of living perfect.” THREE TAKEAWAYS — Purposeful living doesn't mean relentless scheduling, but thoughtful engagement with your actions. — Rest and leisure, when chosen with intention, align with the Stoic pursuit of Virtue. — Avoiding identity labels can help maintain focus on the most important identity: being a rational part of the Cosmos. The more we connect in to self, rooting above and below into Cosmos and Earth, the more we will grow beyond our imagination and expectation.
The May 9, 2025, episode of IPS DEPROGRAM, hosted by Infinite Plane Society, delves into a multifaceted discussion centered around predictive programming, conspiracy theories, and societal manipulation. The episode's title references a reported Russian satellite, Cosmos 482, launched in 1972 and intended for Venus, which is allegedly set to crash to Earth, drawing parallels to the plot of Francis Ford Coppola's 2024 film Megalopolis. The host explores how media, particularly Hollywood, may be used to precondition audiences for staged events, using Megalopolis as a case study due to its depiction of a satellite crash in New York City and its incorporation of 9/11 footage. The discussion extends to the concept of “Yellow Sunners,” a term coined for individuals who believe the sun has changed from yellow to white due to geoengineering, which the host argues is a Mandela Effect-like psychological operation (psyop). The episode also features a lengthy conversation with caller “ARTOFTHINKINGOUTLOUD,” who provides insights into recent events in Cincinnati, including the Hinton Jr. case, and connects them to broader themes of media manipulation and social unrest. The host critiques mainstream narratives, questions the authenticity of space-related news, and highlights the role of celebrities and media in shaping public perception within a controlled societal structure.

This theory challenges existing notions about dark matter and dark energy, which have long puzzled cosmologists.- The Search for Planet 8.5: The duo explores intriguing new data hinting at a potential outer planet, dubbed Planet 8.5, which may exist beyond the realm of the hypothesised Planet Nine. They discuss the implications of this discovery and what it could mean for our understanding of the solar system.- Spacecraft News from the Past: A look back at the fate of Cosmos 482, a Russian spacecraft originally intended for Venus, which is now on a collision course back to Earth after 53 years in orbit. Andrew and Fred Watson discuss the unpredictable nature of space debris and the potential for dramatic re-entries.- Updates on Artemis 2 and NASA Budget Cuts: The episode wraps up with exciting news about the completion of the Orion capsule for Artemis 2, set to carry astronauts on a lunar mission, juxtaposed with concerns over proposed budget cuts to NASA that could impact future space exploration efforts. For more Space Nuts, including our continually updating newsfeed and to listen to all our episodes, visit our website. Dr. Robert Goddard is known as the "Father of Rocketry," but his legacy has been largely overlooked--until now. Charles Slatkin grew up during the Space Age and has become a Goddard evangelist, going so far as to purchase the historic Goddard home to convert into a museum. But his efforts don't stop there. Slatkin has started a nonprofit to not only further Goddard's legacy, but also to inspire young people, who he calls "today's Goddards," to reach for the stars. Hear this inspiring story on this episode of This Week in Space! In this thought-provoking episode, former neuroscientist-turned-Franciscan sister Ilia Delio offers a radical vision for the future of religion at Theology Beer Camp. Speaking to a community of spiritual seekers, Delio places humanity within our cosmic context—mere seconds in the universe's 13.8 billion-year story—while arguing that we are the universe becoming conscious of itself. She challenges institutional religion's static cosmologies, drawing on Teilhard de Chardin's integration of evolution and faith to advocate for a "religion of the Earth" that recognizes God as "in love with matter." With urgency, Delio warns that if religion doesn't evolve beyond dogma into creative participation with cosmic processes, technology will replace it as humanity's guiding force. The conversation, complemented by responses from biblical scholar Pete Enns, exemplifies the kind of boundary-pushing theological dialogue that makes Theology Beer Camp a unique gathering for those reimagining faith at the intersection of science, ecology, and spirituality. Episode No. 705 features curators Dalila Scruggs and Catherine Morris, and artist Beatriz Cortez. With Mary Lee Corlett, Scruggs and Morris are the co-curators of "Elizabeth Catlett: A Black Revolutionary Artist" at the National Gallery of Art, Washington. The exhibition surveys Catlett's career across over 150 sculptures, prints, paintings, and drawings. The exhibition is on view through July 6. An exceptional exhibition catalogue, titled Elizabeth Catlett: A Black Revolutionary Artist and All That It Implies was published by the The University of Chicago Press, the NGA and the Brooklyn Museum, which originated the exhibition. It is available from Amazon and Bookshop for $56-60. Catlett was a feminist, activist, and radical who helped join the Black Left in the US to influences from the Mexican Revolution. Her work continued the practice of earlier US artists such as Thomas Cole, Frederic Church, and Carleton Watkins by using cultural production to advance ideas and ideologies. Cortez is featured in "Seeds: Containers of a World to Come" at the Kemper Art Museum, Washington University in St. Louis. The exhibition features work by ten artists whose research-driven practices are informed by inquiry into plant-human-land relations. "Seeds" was curated by Meredith Malone and Svea Braeunert, and remains on view through July 28. The exhibition brochure is available here. "Beatriz Cortez x rafa esparza: Earth and Cosmos" is at the Americas Society, New York through May 17. The show considers the idea of ancient objects traveling across space and time. In this episode, I'm continuing a conversation that began last week, where I challenged the mainstream Christian view of spiritual concepts like energy, frequency, and Christ consciousness. As someone called to be salt and light, I believe it's essential to speak up when truth is being distorted. Jesus didn't call us to worship him passively but to follow him actively—something many modern believers seem to forget. To be like Christ is to vibrationally align yourself with divine love and coherence. Jesus's teachings in Aramaic reveal that loving God and neighbor isn't just moral advice—it's a call to fully merge your breath, soul, will, and energy with the Source. Christianity was never meant to be a religion of fear and control; it was a path of awakening, of becoming little Christs who live and love in divine resonance.Part of that alignment comes through remembering how different the male and female bodies are designed spiritually. We don't walk the same path to the divine as men do, and we shouldn't try. Where men find coherence through action and sacrifice, we find it through stillness, through feeling, through being. We must allow ourselves to return to the essence of our design. Jesus modeled this when he encountered women—he called forth their essence, healed them through recognition, not reprimand. Everything I teach pours from this deep remembering—that Christ is a frequency, and we are meant to carry it, not just believe in it. We are meant to become it. Tune in today to hear more! In this episode:[00:37] Welcome back to The Fully Nourished Podcast![01:38] A little review of what we talked about last week. [05:01] What is the Christ frequency?[09:16] What is the true meaning behind Matthew 22:37-39?[15:49] In Matthew 7:7, what does it truly mean to ask and receive?[19:38] When we are aligned, we are co-creators with the cosmos.[21:00] What does life look like when you are a member of the body of light? [24:10] Being a true Christian requires you to do the work. [25:38] What is the difference between the spiritual paths for men and women?[33:17] Jesus did not treat men and women equally. In this episode, I begin Book 4 of Meditations with reflection 4.1, a powerful meditation that compares the rational mind to a fire that consumes everything it encounters, growing stronger because of obstacles rather than being snuffed out by them. Marcus is teaching us that when we align our rational faculty with Nature, we develop the ability to transform adversity into fuel for flourishing. I explore the Stoic concepts of the hegemonikon, the daemon, and how humans uniquely possess a concentrated portion of the divine Logos—making us capable of rationality in a way no other beings are. I explain how Pneuma and Tonos work to contain Reason in the Cosmos and connect this to the philosophical notion that our true “self” is the divine spark within us. In the listener Q&A, I respond to a question about how to manage aging parents with grace and justice, emphasizing the Stoic responsibility to act fairly without compromising other vital roles. Meditations 4.1 “The sovereign power within, in its natural state, so confronts what comes to pass as always to adapt itself readily to what is feasible and is presented to it. This is because it puts its affection upon no material of its own choice; rather it sets itself upon its objects with a reservation, and then makes the opposition which encounters it into material for itself. It is like a fire, when it masters what falls into it, whereby a little taper would have been put out, but a bright fire very quickly appropriates and devours what is heaped upon it, and leaps up higher out of those very obstacles.” THREE TAKEAWAYS — The Stoic “sovereign power within” refers to our rational faculty, which is naturally adaptive when aligned with Nature. — Humans uniquely embody a concentrated share of the divine Logos, and this forms the essence of our self—our daemon. — Caring for others, like aging parents, must be guided by Reason and Justice, not guilt or emotional manipulation. In “Into the Unknown,” an astronomer explores the mysteries of the cosmos and the limits of what science can test. What is time? If the universe is expanding, what is it expanding into? What happened just before the Big Bang? Some of the most head-scratching ideas in physics strain the limits of what science can test. In her book Into the Unknown: The Quest to Understand the Mysteries of the Cosmos, astronomer Dr. Kelsey Johnson describes some of those concepts, and sketches out ways to try to wrap your brain around them. Johnson joins Host Ira Flatow to talk about the limits of scientific inquiry, and what mysteries lie at the limits of science.Transcripts for each segment will be available after the show airs on sciencefriday.com. I have no earthly idea how to describe this conversation. It's about religion and belief – at this moment in our politics, and in our lives more generally. My guest and I come from very different perspectives. Ross Douthat is a Catholic conservative, who wrote a book called “Believe: Why Everyone Should Be Religious.” I'm a … Californian. But I think everyone would enjoy this conversation — believers, skeptics and seekers alike. Some questions touched on: Is the Trump administration Christian or pagan? How do Christian Trump supporters reconcile the cruelties of this administration with their faith? Can religious experiences be explained by misfiring neurons? Should organized religions embrace psychedelics? Can mystery provide more comfort than certainty? And if you do enjoy this episode, be sure to check out Douthat's new New York Times Opinion Audio show “Interesting Times,” available wherever you get your podcasts, and on YouTube.Mentioned:Interesting Times with Ross Douthat“Donald Trump, Man of Destiny” by Ross DouthatLiving with a Wild God by Barbara EhrenreichBook Recommendations:Modern Physics and Ancient Faith by Stephen BarrAfter by Bruce GreysonMind and Cosmos by Thomas NagelThoughts?
