Trent Alexander-Arnold starred for Real Madrid as he made his return from injury in the 4-1 win over Real Sociedad at the Bernabeu, a win that saw them go top of La Liga at least temporarily. Gary and Alex look at whether he is finally finding his feet in Madrid, the praise he's getting from Alvaro Arbeloa and what that could mean for his chances of making the world cup squad. Atletico Madrid continue to put their fans through it as they followed up a stunning 4-0 win over Barcelona in the Copa Del Rey by meekly surrendering to Rayo Vallecano on Sunday in a 3-0 defeat. Diego Simeone and Jan Oblak were at loggerheads after the game, so we check in on Atleti and look at why their season is so continually up and down.

The FC crew react to Barcelona's 2-1 loss to Girona and question how Hansi Flick's side can be so poor defensively, especially after such a poor performance midweek. Plus, the guys argue who will win LALIGA now that Real Madrid has taken over top of the table. Archie Rhind-Tutt and Jermaine Beckford also join the show to break down Brentford eliminating Cinderella story Macclesfield from the FA Cup. Learn more about your ad choices. The Derby d'Italia this weekend felt crucial in the race for this year's Scudetto. Musa and Ryan chat about Inter leaving it late to beat Juventus (05:03), who were down to ten for the entire second half at San Siro, after a very controversial second yellow for Pierre Kalulu. It took a brilliant winner from Piotr Zieliński to win the game and send Inter eight points clear of the top, thanks to Napoli's draw with Roma. In the middle of all that, there's a big detour about manager's first touches and player showboating (17:39), before chatting about Igor Tudor becoming the Tottenham Hotspur men's interim head coach (34:53). Finally, there's a round-up (45:33) featuring La Liga, Bundesliga, FA Cup, a rare case of a spiritually onside goal actually counting and Mo Salah doing his bit for content. As mentioned, Scouted have launched the first edition of their new digital magazine and are giving Stadio listeners a month's full access to their site (including the new issue) for just £2! The boys break down what's gone wrong, whether Madrid's aura still carries weight in Europe, and give their official predictions for all Round of 32 matchups. Then we're joined by the legendary Glenn Crooks, who gives incredible insight into how Emma Hayes developed into the elite manager she is today. Crooks also reflects on his own journey in soccer, shares thoughts on NYCFC's upcoming season, discusses Pascal Jansen's evolution as a coach, and weighs in on what the club's new stadium means for the future of football in New York City.To close it out, we react to Carlo Ancelotti being spotted at Carnival — is that a bad look for Brazil's head coach given the national team's current form? Plus, we discuss Tottenham's new manager, Raheem Sterling's move to Feyenoord, Pellegrino Matarazzo's first La Liga loss, and Antoine Semenyo's absolutely unhinged pizza opinion.
