Recorded live at the Landmark Saloon on 04/14/18, this is our latest FER Experience show! The theme was Alaska, as that this is where we are right now. Preparations for flying, 'rules' of travel, Bigfoot, Otter Man and so much more is discussed. Plus a very special and awkward guest joins us! Big thanks to NOT YOUR FATHER'S MOUNTAIN ALE!
GUESTS: KERBY DARIUS and RISHI MATHUR. Sarah is finally paying attention to what Facebook thinks of her and....per it, she's kind of a desperate lady who is destined to by "swag or singles". Then we are joined by Kerby and and Rishi! They are in PDX for the first time, for the Rip City Comedy Show at Siren Theater on 4/15. Don't forget to pick up your tix to the FER Experience with Not Your Father's Mountain Ale, as well!
This is the first of our episodes where we drink stuff that we normally wouldn't. The sort of stuff that's known to give you a hangover. And, boy, did we have hangovers the next day. We try Smirnoff Ice Screwdriver, Twisted Peach Tea, Angry Orchard's Hoppin' Mad Cider, Austin Eastciders Blood Orange Cider, Session Watermelon Wheat, and Not Your Father's Mountain Ale. We're going to hate everything that led us up to this point in our lives, but at least we know the difference between "led" and "lead." Can you say that about yourself? We didn't think so.
Mystery. Intrigue. Manipulation. Poor grammar. We have it all in this week's episode of Beer'd Gamers! For this episode, we delve into the world of Dungeons and Dragons for a playthrough of Lords of Waterdeep, a Euro-style board game that pits each player, representing a different Lord of Waterdeep, against each other in an effort to recruit agents and acquire gold and victory points. The game lasts 8 rounds, and the player with the most victory points when all scores are tallied is the winner. Lords of Waterdeep retails for roughly $40-45 depending on the seller, and is a game the Beer'd Gamers recommend for your next game night, especially if you're already a fan of the D&D world. This episode's beers are Andygator by Abita Brewing Co., Fantasy Factory by Karben4 Brewing, My Turn Micheal from Lakefront Brewery, and Not Your Father's Mountain Ale by Small Town Brewery (because what D&D game isn't complete without Mountain Dew and Doritos?!)
