The National Wrestling Alliance saw a resurgence in membership when they split from Impact Wrestling. One area that blossomed was the Midsouth Region. The Territories in that area were packed with talent. One such talent was the man who put Tatter Peeler, Tennessee on the map. Jeremiah Plunkett held no less than 5 NWA sanctioned championships from 2008 to 2017 under the old territory system. You can add another seven championships that Plunkett held that were affiliated with the NWA at that time. Plunkett made his return to the NWA in 2019 at the NWA Pop Up event New Year's Clash on January 5th, 2019. Due to the pandemic pause, Plunkett wouldn't make his debut in the NWA for two more years at NWA POWERRR Episode 23. On this episode of the Sessions with Jay Cal, we will discuss wrestling in the Mid South. We'll discuss SAW, We'll talk about his time as the NWA Cyberslam Heavyweight Champion. Working in the NWA collectives from NWA Main Event, NWA Chattanooga, USWO, NWA SAW, NWA Top Rope, and NWA New South. We'll also discuss his NWA Australian Championship Victory and what it meant for him to be able to travel to the land down under. We'll also discuss that faithful night in the SAW MILL where he faced Satoshi Kojima for the Ten Pounds of Gold.
