Combine that with Guerrero being gone, and Benoit was truly broken. It's the final episode of the last episode of television before heading into the first ever pay-per-view for ECW, a wrestling promotion that is trying to prove that a small independent promotion can do it, can be a viable contender all by itself, with the help of nobody else. Nobody. Nobody except the wide range of wrestlers that owed favours or would work for cheap; the first booker Eddie Gilbert who set the tone for what the show would be; Vince McMahon, who while not outright funding the thing, has helped it along as long as Paul Heyman stopped burying his promotion and focused instead on - after WCW raided ECW's roster already, allowing him to raid it much more effectively - WCW; and nobody else except for of course Paul Heyman's Dad's money I assume (and connections) which helped screw Tod Gordon out of the weekend pissup and hotel orgy-hosting nonstop party he had founded that was masquerading as a wrestling company. It's that pivotal final episode of television before that pivotal first pay-per-view, "this Sunday night", at 9 PM, across America, and presumably through piracy and early internet messageboards, across the Globe to a certain extent. Barely Legal. You've got to start that episode right, with a powerful piece of attention-grabbing footage that will make even the most jaded channel-scrolling stoner to shake the cheeto dust out of their eyes, sit up in their Barca Lounger and say hey… I should see if I can steal Barely Legal off the Internet. So here it is   John Cena Figure Collecting Discussion Jefry and Scott discussed their favorite John Cena figures, with Jefry highlighting the Unmatched Fury as his top pick from Jacks and a Mattel prototype figure as his favorite from Mattel. Scott shared that his favorite Mattel Cena figure is the Ultimate Edition from ECW's One Night Stand 2006, while also mentioning the WrestleMania 41 Cena figure as one of his most valuable. They agreed that Cena has been a key figure in the Mattel WWE line.   Wrestling Figures and Sales Updates Jefry and Scott discussed the fluctuating prices of wrestling figures and encouraged playing the long game for better deals. They highlighted the upcoming Black Friday 3.0 sales at RSC and recommended checking shipping dates for gift orders. Scott shared that independent manufacturers are switching to boat shipping due to rising costs, doubling delivery times. Despite this, they expressed hope that the final product would be better and gave Latoonie the benefit of the doubt, acknowledging their unique approach in the crowded wrestling figure market. They also defended Latoonie's retro figures, praising their creativity and quality, while agreeing that Power Town figures were universally poor.   Saturday Night Slammasters Discussion Jefry and Scott discussed the video game Saturday Night Slammasters, which was released in 1993 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System. Scott shared his positive memories of playing the arcade version and later the home port, praising its user-friendly gameplay and colorful characters. They explored the game's connections to other Capcom titles like Final Fight and Street Fighter, noting how characters and elements were recycled across games. The first event, titled The Era of Honor Begins, took place on February 23, 2002, in Philadelphia, the former home area of ECW. It featured nine matches, including a match between Eddy Guerrero and Super Crazy for the IWA Intercontinental Heavyweight Championship and a triple threat match between Christopher Daniels, Bryan Danielson, and Low Ki (who would become known as the "founding fathers of ROH"). In its first year of operation, Ring of Honor confined itself to staging live events in a limited number of venues and cities – primarily in the northeastern United States.
