Not too many talents under the NWA umbrella can say they have been with the company since day 1. Big Strong Mims was on the very first set of NWA POWER Tapings and was actually working various duties for the NWA all the way back to the 70th Anniversary Show.In eight years with the National Wrestling Alliance, Mims is a former NWA National Heavyweight Champion and NWA Television Champion. Back in the 2021 era of the NWA, Mims sought out The Pope as a mentor. The two competed at the 2022 Crockett Cup. Shortly after that, Crockett Cup, the two went their separate ways, with the Pope leaving the company. In the past few months, the two have come to an understanding and appear to be on the same page. Jay Cal discusses this new alliance with Mims, the art of tag-team wrestling, overcoming imposter syndrome, and what's next for Big Strong Mims.Follow Mims on Social Mediahttps://www.facebook.com/matthew.mims.545 https://www.instagram.com/really_mimshttps://x.com/really_mimshttps://angrylemonade.net/collections/mims
Paul Pratt wears many hats. A producer, a writer, a ringside commentator, a manager, and, to be fair, probably about a dozen or more contributions to the world of wrestling and the National Wrestling Alliance. Before he ever wrote an article or produced a talent, he was a fan.Paul is very candid about the National Wrestling Alliance and discusses his point of view both as an employee of the NWA and as a fan. Paul has made several appearances on our weekly pre-party live stream. The National Wrestling Alliance airs its weekly program POWERRR, on Saturdays at 4 PM Eastern and Pacific, with a midnight replay.
The Southern Six is in shambles. Even before Kerry Morton turned his back on Silas Mason during his NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship Match, signs were starting to show during the Crockett Cup. Although Morton and Taylor won the 2024 Crockett Cup, they were unable to advance to the semi-finals of the 2026 Tournament. Taylor became a regular for the National Wrestling Alliance in 2021, where he instantly became a player for the NWA World Junior Heavyweight Championship. After a stint in the tag team, The Ill Begotten, Taylor would find brotherhood in the Land Down Under, becoming the cornerstone of the Southern Six. 2024 would be one of the most successful years for Taylor in the NWA, winning the Crockett Cup Tournament with Kerry Morton and later winning the World Junior Heavyweight Championship by defeating Joe Alonzo. Taylor would obtain more gold again with partner Morton when they won the NWA US Tag Team Championships from the Country Gentlemen. In this interview, Jay Cal and Alex Taylor discuss wrestling in the Volunteer State, Taylor's start in the Black and Brave Academy, the greatness that is Jeremiah Plunkett, and their kinship with Danny Dealz. In May, WWF, AWA, and NWA try to keep their momentum going and World Class, now having left the National Wrestling Alliance, holds their annual David Von Erich Memorial Parade of Champions card. Join me as I discuss another packed month of pro wrestling history!

The Southern California Independent Wrestling Scene has produced many outstanding talents in the past twenty-five years. And it would be entirely too hard to imagine the Southern California Independent Scene without thinking about the contributions of Lil Cholo. Not only was he a standout for Martin Marin's WPW, but he was also a big part of Revolution Pro, Ultimate Pro Wrestling, Alternative Wrestling Show, and the National Wrestling Alliance. He would also wrestle in Mexico in Tijuana for Lucha Libre AAA and Mexico City for Toryumon.Outside of his contributions to the Southern California Wrestling Scene, Lil Cholo was part of Wrestling Society X's tag team division. Teaming with fellow Southern California standout B-Boy as the Cartel, joined a stacked tag team division that made WSX unique. He would find his way into the National Spotlight eight years later as part of the fantastic Lucha Underground as Mr. Cisco.Nowadays, he's training the future of Southern California Independents with House of Lucha. Their next event takes place on Friday, March 27th, in Stanton, California. Two years of creating stars and showcasing up-and-comers, the House of Lucha 2nd Anniversary Show, featuring Jack Cartwheel and many more.Stay Social With Lil Cholohttps://www.facebook.com/little.cholo.9https://www.instagram.com/lilcholo01/https://www.threads.com/@lilcholo01https://www.tiktok.com/@lilcholo01https://www.youtube.com//littlecholo1503Stay Social with House Of Luchahttps://www.instagram.com/house_of_luchahttps://www.youtube.com/@houseofluchaStay Social with the Alliance

Is there esoteric symbolism behind some of our most cherished stories? You bet there is! Once you start, it might be hard to stop but I went through the looking glass and followed the yellow brick road to start on this search. Yes, we're exploring the esoteric aspects of Alice in Wonderland and the Wizard of Oz. In this, we touch on some minor topics like the role of institutions, systems, self and God. Small stuff. We also examine the Persephone archetype and whether it apples. What's a psycho pomp? who's "we"? I'm glad you asked. My esoteric dream tag team of the National Wrestling Alliance's Aron Stephens (FKA Damien Sandow, Aron Rex, et al) and the Reverend Doctor (going on three doctoriates) David Parry. Bring your third eyes, pineal glands and thinking caps today. We go deep. Like even the 4 cardinal directions are part of this. How could they not be?

Alex Misery is unhinged. A man of many hats, most of whom are insane. He's a vocalist for the band Twisted Misery. He shreds on the skateboard. But where most of our listeners will know Misery is from his time in the ring. High Risk is a statement that has little to no meaning for Misery. Misery joined the National Wrestling Alliance at the first Samhain back in 2023. Before his time with the NWA, Misery was a mainstay in the Florida Independent Scene, gaining a bit of notoriety working for Coastal Championship restling and FTW Wrestling.A not-so-well-kept secret is that Misery is also a second-generation wrestler; he's the son of "El Leon" Apolo. Apolo is a former NWA World Tag Team Champion (as part of the TNA era of the NWA) and the North American Champion. His father was a well-established superstar in Puerto Rico before becoming a mainstay in the United States. Similarly, Alex spent time working in Puerto Rico; however, his time was spent at World Wrestling Council, the rival to IWA Puerto Rico. We will talk to Alex Misery tonight. We will speak to him about his time in Puerto Rico, getting established in Florida in the independents, wrestling from under his father's shadow, and becoming a fixture of the NWA. Please join us for this very unique interview.
