NWA World Women’s Champion La Princesa Tiffany Nieves joins Battle for an interview that quickly goes completely off the rails. Tiffany talks becoming a Grand Slam Champion, making history in the NWA, the road that brought her to the top, beating cancer and the deeper meaning behind “Stay Beautiful.” Plus, she explains why nobody in the NWA works harder than La Princesa — and why Battle apparently should’ve been booking her trip to Puerto Rico instead of asking questions.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Send us Fan MailIn this episode, Big Rich Klein sits down with rock-bouncing champion Tim Cameron, a Tennessee native whose passion for off-road racing began with four-wheelers, Jeeps, and hill climbs.Tim shares how he learned fabrication from Brian Cole and built his first full-tube-chassis buggy, Fat Girl. He discusses the evolution of his rigs, including Jenny Craig, Moon Rover, Hellraiser, Showtime, and Game Changer. His innovative use of a ProFab drop box helped redefine rock-bouncer drivetrain design. The conversation follows Tim's transition from wild hill climbs to competitive racing. After experiencing Ultra4 suspension technology firsthand with Randy Slawson, Tim embraced bypass shocks, trailing arms, and increased wheel travel. His redesigned buggies helped him win multiple consecutive championships and influenced the direction of rock-bouncing competition.Tim also recalls his 2015 King of the Hammers debut, where he and co-pilot Cole Shirley finished 11th despite fuel-system problems. After racing more than 40 weekends a year, Tim recognized burnout and took time away from competition. During that break, he discovered dirt late-model racing and began mastering an entirely different discipline.Today, Tim continues competing in rock bouncing while developing his dirt-track career. He discusses his current buggy, 100 Shots Reloaded, plans for a super late model, and the possibility of returning to Ultra4 racing. Support the show

Ronald Reagan. Champion of neoliberalism. To some, the man who lifted the spirits of a nation and restored a sense of pride and optimism after a period of despair. To others, the Reagan years marked the death of liberalism. A dark turn toward unfettered capitalist exploitation and the decapitation of working class movements and civil rights. So, which is it? Was Ronald Reagan responsible for ushering in an era of prosperity and restoring national pride as his boosters maintain? Or was he indeed the harbinger of doom and the reason we have Donald Trump today? Like most things, it’s complicated. But there are three ways in which Reagan fundamentally altered the trajectory of the United States to the detriment of most American families. Max walks through each of them before offering a bit of context for the era and ends with an example of a modern political figure that borrows from Reagan’s political playbook but with a twist: this time it’s to do good in the world. On this week's podcast, I share my thoughts on Wisconsin volleyball's 1-3 start and what I've seen from the Badgers through the opening stretch of the season. I also look at the addition of 16-year-old Decelise Champion and what her arrival could mean for Wisconsin, both now and in the long run. You'll also hear a clip from this week's Kelly Sheffield Show as Coach Sheffield gives us a behind-the-scenes look at what Champion's first few days on campus and with the team will be like as she begins her college career.Plus, I bring you interviews with Charlie Fuerbringer, Kristen Simon and Isabelle Hoppe as we hear directly from the Badgers during the early part of the 2026 season.
Andreas Almgren just won European gold by lapping half the field—and six days later, he announced he's stepping up to 26.2 miles for the first time.In this episode, recorded mid-marathon-buildup with the aches to prove it, Almgren breaks down the decision to make his marathon debut at the TCS New York City Marathon on November 1, and why he chose the toughest, slowest Major Marathon over a flat time-trial course like Valencia. He explains the front-running gamble that produced his historic 27:23.44 in the 10,000m in Birmingham—a 3:17 opening kilometer that forced him to take the race into his own hands from the third lap—and what it actually feels like to lap the field and win a championship by 19 seconds. Almgren gets into the mechanics of the buildup itself: mileage climbing toward 230K (142 miles) a week, fueling 120 grams of carbs an hour on long runs, testing new super-trainers versus carbon race shoes, and the durability work required to survive New York's bridges and hills. He also opens up on the "dark years" between 2016 and 2020, the 800m speed he's carrying into a marathon debut, and why he's not ruling out a 10,000m/marathon double at the 2028 Olympics. Plus, a shoutout to double-threshold godfather Marius Bakken, a very Swedish story about a track meet against Finland, and what it's like to become a national hero overnight. A wide-ranging, funny, and technical conversation with one of the most versatile distance runners in the world right now.Tap into the Andreas Almgren Special. Send us Fan MailA hip that might not cooperate. A course that's basically a slip-and-slide. A start line you're not even sure you'll stand on. Then somehow… you find yourself racing at the front anyway. That's the headspace Allie Mack brings us into right after earning another Team USA spot with a hard-fought third place at a gnarly mountain running qualifier. It's her eighth team since 2014, and she explains why it somehow feels more special now than it did early on, especially as the U.S. trail running and mountain running depth keeps getting stronger. We walk through how the race actually unfolded: the calm choice to run “within herself,” the reality of technical mud and rocks where speed is capped by footing, and the tactical moments where you decide whether to chase a move or protect the result. Allie also opens up about the mental whiplash of being a high-level athlete: expectations after winning a world title, the pressure you can put on yourself, and the way one good day can reset your whole season. From there we look ahead to Broken Arrow and the Vertical Kilometer style battle she loves, plus the idea of Team USA chemistry and how bonding and shared experience can matter when you're heading to the World Mountain Running Championships. We close with a real look at support systems, including what it meant to have her fiancé Dylan there when the weekend could have gone the other way. If you're into trail running, mountain racing strategy, injury decision-making, and the mindset it takes to keep showing up year after year, hit play. We know we are called to parent in the power of the Holy Spirit, but then life comes at us like a train and suddenly we are back to doing everything in our own strength. I know I can easily fall into this trap. I can know all the right things, but knowing the truth and actually relying on the Holy Spirit in the middle of motherhood are two very different things. In this top 10 episode, I talk with Jeannie Cunnion about what it really looks like to parent with the Holy Spirit. We start by taking an honest look at what we actually believe about Him. Do I truly trust that the Holy Spirit lives in me and wants to guide, strengthen, comfort, and help me? Jeannie reminds us that the Holy Spirit is not an "it." He is a person, our Helper, Advocate, Counselor, Comforter, and Champion. We talk about what it means to lean into His presence instead of constantly trying to figure everything out on our own. We are not parenting alone. God has graciously given us the Holy Spirit, and there is no part of the Christian life that is meant to be lived without His supernatural power. As moms, we have an incredible opportunity to be a gift to one another. We can encourage each other, pray for each other, and help carry one another when we feel like we can't keep going. We don't have to manufacture the fruit of the Spirit through our own effort. We can stay connected to God and allow His Spirit to produce His fruit in us.If you have ever felt overwhelmed by motherhood or wondered how you're supposed to keep going, I hope this conversation reminds you that you were never meant to parent alone. In this episode, we talk about: What it means to parent in the power of the Holy Spirit Taking an honest look at what we believe about the Holy Spirit Learning to recognize the Holy Spirit's promptings What it means to be the temple of the Holy Spirit Feeding the Spirit instead of feeding the flesh Why there is no "junior Holy Spirit" when it comes to our kids Connect with Jeannie Cunnion: Website: Jeannie Cunnion Instagram: Jeannie Cunnion (@jeanniecunnion) Links Mentioned: Never Alone By Jeannie Cunnion Forgotten God: By Francis Chan Mom Set Free: By Jeannie Cunnion Don't Miss Out: By Jeannie Cunnion The Jesus Storybook Bible: By Sally Lloyd-Jones Related Episodes: Cultivating Intimacy with God in Motherhood :: Jeannie Cunnion [Ep 490] Set Free From Shame :: Jeannie Cunnion [Ep 190] Anchoring Our Kids' Lovability in Christ :: Jeannie Cunnion {Ep 91} Featured Sponsors: Thrive Causemetics: Amplify your look with Thrive Causemetics. Rommel Corro is the Head Coach and General Manager of the Austin Bats of the American Basketball Association. He led the Bats to the ABA Championship in the 2025 - 2026 season. Corro was named the 4th head coach of the Austin Bats in 2018, taking over after the team reached the 2017–2018 ABA Finals. Originally from the Philippines, Corro played high school varsity basketball in Lamar, Missouri, and is a U.S. Army veteran. Prior to joining the Bats, Corro brought eighteen-plus years of basketball coaching experience, most of it in high-level amateur competition, winning various tournaments and league championships, as well as experience organizing leagues and tournaments. In his first season coaching at the professional level with the Austin Elite Squad in the Texas Basketball Association, he guided the team to the 2018 championship along with multiple Final Four and Finals appearances. In his years coaching the Austin Bats, the team has finished with a winning season every year, three-time Division Champions, two-time Regional Champions, reaching the ABA Final Four in 2024–2025, and winning the 2025–2026 ABA Championship. On this episode Mike & Rommel discuss his unusual path from growing up in the Philippines to becoming a basketball leader in the U.S. Rommel explains how he played multiple sports as a kid, discovered basketball later through summer practice, and deepened his connection to the game through the Filipino community and military life. Rommel then walks through his journey organizing Filipino leagues and eventually coaching the Austin Bats, including the roster-building, scouting, and mental preparation that helped fuel championship runs. He also breaks down how the ABA is structured, how the Bats fit into the Austin sports scene, and what it meant to win a title as a team. The conversation highlights perseverance, leadership, and the joy Rommel finds in building a team that keeps growing together. In this special emergency edition of the BROCast, Dave and Tracy talk about Martin Jarmond being fired, and then bring on Ken Graiwer to talk about fundraising and more in the post-Jarmond era. As we reported earlier today, Jarmond was fired today after years of UCLA running in the red financially in athletics. Additionally, as Dave and Tracy talk about on the pod, Jarmond managed his athletic programs poorly, and also did a very poor job of meeting the aspirations of the fanbase. We talked about what the future could look like with Tim Harris as the new CEO of Athletics, and how the program will now be run with a much more business-oriented mindset. We then brought on Champion of Westwood head Ken Graiwer to talk about what this could mean for fundraising, roster-building, and the overall outlook for UCLA athletics (hint: it's very, very positive). You Are a Champion | Seeing Yourself the Way God Sees You | Family Church You are fearfully and wonderfully made. But how often do we actually live like we believe that? In this powerful message from Family Church, Daniel challenges us to stop defining ourselves by our mistakes and begin seeing ourselves through the eyes of God. Psalm 139:14 tells us that we are fearfully and wonderfully made, while Ephesians 2:10 reminds us that we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works. This message explores: What it means to be intentionally created by God Why we shouldn't define ourselves by our mistakes How to stop focusing on the "black dot" Why our inefficiencies don't disqualify us What it means to be wonderfully made How God gives us purpose What Ephesians 2:10 says about good works How to live as an example of Jesus Why parents need to speak life into their children What it means to be a champion of the faith Why our identity is rooted in Jesus Why Christians are called to encourage one another How to speak life instead of death Why we need to encourage the people already inside our church family How our spiritual family can become a place of belonging The "I love this about you" challenge How encouragement can become a way of sharing the Gospel The challenge is simple: See yourself the way God sees you. You are intentionally made. You are God's handiwork. You were created for good works. You are a champion of the faith. And you have an opportunity to encourage someone else this week. Speak life. Encourage someone. Be a champion.

Indiana football is trying to do something almost impossible: follow up a 16-0 national championship season by proving the program is not a one-year miracle. In Part 2 of CrimsonCast's 2026 season preview, Galen Clavio and Scott Caulfield look beyond the schedule and dig into the biggest questions that will define Curt Cignetti's third Indiana team. The conversation starts with the most obvious question: what does Indiana have at quarterback after Fernando Mendoza? Galen and Scott compare Mendoza's extraordinary 2025 season to what Josh Hoover brings into the offense, asking whether Hoover needs to recreate Mendoza's late-game magic or whether he can make Indiana better in a different way. They also revisit how Cignetti and Mike Shanahan have already shown the ability to take strong quarterback play and build an even higher offensive ceiling. From there, the preview shifts into the deeper championship-repeat questions. Can Indiana maintain the same player-led culture after losing leaders like Mendoza, Elijah Sarratt, Omar Cooper Jr., Pat Coogan, Riley Nowakowski, and D'Angelo Ponds? How much of IU's rise was tied to the original James Madison transfer core, and how much is now embedded into the program itself? Galen and Scott look at three years of Cignetti transfer classes, coordinator continuity with Bryant Haines, Mike Shanahan, and Grant Cain, and the way IU keeps finding players who fit its system better than the recruiting rankings suggest. The second half tackles injury luck, depth, eligibility uncertainty around Stephen Daley and Kellen Wyatt, the difference between star-studded depth and functional depth, and why Indiana may be better prepared than national analysts assume. The episode closes with a bigger psychological question: can Indiana avoid the post-championship “disease of me” and keep the same self-policing, team-first culture that made last year's run possible?Subscribe to the Back Home Network for more CrimsonCast coverage of Indiana football, IU athletics, Curt Cignetti, the Hoosiers, Big Ten football, and the 2026 college football season.

In this episode, Mike Granato & Shaun Webb from Athletic Motion Golf Podcast answer the comment they get every single week: "Amateurs shouldn't try to copy tour players." Using years of 3D data on tour winners, they explain why that advice is backwards. The players in their database are not physical outliers. Many fail basic mobility screens that amateurs pass. What actually separates them is simpler movements, repeated inside a tight, learnable window, not more talent or more flexibility. They break down why good players fall into a narrow range on things like hip turn, arm bend, and spine angle (and why bad golf swings fall into a much wider one), the "shifting through the gears" idea versus jumping straight to full effort, and why two pros with completely different builds can both produce 180 mph ball speed through technique and sequencing, not strength. Then they get into the practical takeaway: find your own 3 or 4 "dominoes," the small number of things that move your swing back into a good window, write them on a note card, and stop chasing a new fix every week. They also cover why setup (grip, ball position, aim) drifts faster than your actual swing, and why removing variables before you practice is the fastest way to actually get better. You don't have to be a physical specimen to move like a tour player. You just have to move simply, and in the right direction.

Today, we take a moment to pause to recognize the incredible life the indefatigable, beautiful, talented, wise Dolly Rebecca Parton Dean, who passed away on August 25th, 2026, at the age of 80. She was a philanthropist, singer, songwriter, actress. Good person. And a person who stood for the civil liberties and civil rights of others, the most vulnerable of Americans. For us at Ms. magazine, we know that a true hero has passed on. And we know that with all the glitter, silver, diamond, and golds that she wore on her sleeves and on her lapels, and that truly are reflected in her heart, they continue to shine on as an example for us all.May Dolly Parton rest in power.
