#288 What separates those who struggle, those who succeed by chance, and those who consistently win? In this episode of Your Fitness Money Coach Podcast, I sit down with Chase Kough, owner of Performance360 and The G.O.A.T. Mind — who has coached Olympic and World Champion athletes across six different sports. With over 40,000 hours of experience, Chase has seen firsthand what it takes to turn dreams into reality. We dive into: The 3 types of people when it comes to success and which one you want to be. The 3 levels of desire and how they impact what you think is possible. Why the smallest words, thoughts, and actions compound into world-class results. How gym owners and entrepreneurs can apply the same frameworks used by elite athletes to win in business and life. This conversation will challenge you to rethink your mindset, elevate your daily habits, and remove the limitations holding you back. Links & Resources: Connect with Chase: The G.O.A.T. Returning guest and program-builder Coach Isaac Wood joins Airey Bros Radio to break down his next big challenge: launching the men's cross country program at the University of the Pacific and re-energizing the women's team in Stockton, CA. Fresh off five NJCAA national titles at Salt Lake CC and Coach of the Year honors, Wood explains how he's translating JUCO dominance to NCAA Division I, why Pacific is a sleeper academic powerhouse, and what “UOP RG” (the regen mantra) means for culture, recruiting, and results. We get into year-one goals, West Coast Conference competition, race-day mindset vs. workout warriors, developing athletes into pro prospects, long-run routes through Lodi vineyards, and the season slate (San Francisco opener, Hawai‘i trip, big Minnesota test, Bronco Invite, WCC in Spokane, Regionals in Sacramento). If you're a recruit, parent, or running nerd, this one's loaded with actionable insight.

Today, we're diving into one of the most storied arenas in saltwater fly fishing —the Gold Cup Tarpon Tournament. Since 1964, it's been considered the Super Bowl of tarpon fishing, attracting a who's who of legends—names like Billy Pate, Ted Williams, and Glen Flutie, who famously won it five years in a row. I've been fortunate to win it five times in six years myself. And now, there's a new name knocking on the door of tournament history: Dave Preston. Fishing alongside Louis Cortez, Dave has won four Gold Cups in the last five years, putting him third all-time in wins—a staggering achievement in a field that's more competitive than ever. An avid fly fisherman and outdoorsman, Dave was born and raised in Miami, and spent the 80s and 90s exploring the waters of Florida Bay, the Everglades, Biscayne Bay, and the Keys. He's a proud University of Florida alum, and since graduating in 2003, has worked across the state as a commercial real estate broker. These days, he lives in Jupiter, but come spring and summer, you can usually find him anywhere tarpon are swimming. Beyond the tournament leaderboard, Dave is deeply committed to conservation. He serves on the Board of Directors for Friends of the Everglades, and works closely with a number of organizations tackling the urgent water issues affecting South Florida's ecosystems—from the Everglades to the coastal estuaries. Today, we talk to Dave about what this tournament means to him, how his upbringing shaped his passion for the water, and why protecting Florida's fragile ecosystems is more critical now than ever.

Everyone has a dream. For many young boys, the dream is to become a major league baseball player. Years back, this was especially true for a little boy growing up in Tacoma, Washington. Harmony Talk is honored to share the story of the journey of legendary third baseman, Ron Cey. Known to many as “the Penguin”, Ron played 16 seasons in Major League Baseball. Although best known for covering the “hot corner” for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Ron also played for the Chicago Cubs and Oakland Athletics. He was a six-time All-Star, had over 300 career home runs, was World Series Champ and Word Series MVP. Cey at third base, Bill Russel at shortstop, Davey Lopes at second base and Steve Garvey at first base lasted for nearly nine seasons for the Los Angeles Dodgers. This remarkable feat is a celebrated piece of baseball history that hasn’t been matched since and may never be again. Throughout Ron’s journey from dreaming to doing there were many lessons learned and many interesting encounters along the way. From growing up as boy chasing a dream and the struggles that go along with that to making it to the big leagues and playing under legends like Tommy Lasorda, Ron has an incredible story to tell. In this episode, hear Ron in a memorable conversation with host Greg Frigoletto, as they discuss the story of the little boy from Tacoma who became the author, podcaster and celebrity that he is today. Check out Ron’s podcast, the Ron Cey Show as well as his book, an autobiography titled Penguin Power…a book about Dodger Blue, Hollywood Lights and Ron’s One-In-A-Million Big League Journey. Ron currently lives in in Woodland Hills, CA with his wife Fran. They were married in 1971 and have two children, Daniel and Amanda. In the third installment of our dive into game call makers, today we are joined by the co-owner of Black Label Game Calls. Russell Andrews is also a National Champion caller in many levels including the 2025 NWTF Gobbling Champion and the 2025 World Gobbling Champion. He also shares his testimony of how God has helped him through a trying time in his life. Russell Andrews, Co-Owner and Operator of Black Label Game Calls, has been a consistent disrupter in the wild game call industry since July of 2022 when he and his partner, Jesse Martin, took their passion and transformed it into a product. When Russell's father was senselessly killed in May 2024 (article featured in “The Call” NWTF magazine), Russell's entire approach to cultivating his business shifted from being sales-focused to using turkey calling to spread the Gospel. Russell turned to his turkey calling family through all of the grief and anger, and poured his efforts into preparing for turkey calling contests, winning the Gobbling division of both the 2025 NWTF Grand National Calling Contest and the 2025 World Turkey Calling Contest. Russell's mission is very simple now — carry out the Great Commission using the platform that Black Label Game Calls has built. www.blacklabelgamecalls.com www.taurususa.com www.cva.com www.himtnjerky.com www.murrelloptics.com www.jumpmedic.com www.christianoutdoors.org www.citrusafe.com www.elimishieldhunt.com www.mossyoak.com
