Today our podcast will be somewhat different from many others we have presented before. Since this Tuesday is July 4th, the day when we celebrate our nation's independence, I want to use this time to share with you some words of tribute to our nation and to its founders. As we approach this special day in our nation, our prayer is that we may all come to a greater appreciation and spirit of thanks to God for what He has given to each of us.Many of you are hearing this podcast in a country other than America, so we invite you to celebrate with us in genuine thanksgiving to God for all His blessings, wherever we may be. Thank you for joining us today from Ocean Lakes Family Campground.

This week on the Aging Today podcast, I interviewed Steve Toll from ComForCare. Steve plays songs that celebrate America. Freedom, family, and fireworks are some of what we celebrate on Independence Day. However you choose to celebrate the holiday, you can boost that patriotic sentiment with songs that are part of our American heritage. Our good friend, Steve Toll, ComForCare's Manager of Therapeutic Music Programs, joins us to enliven the holiday with these great songs. Listen in to get your holiday started first thing in the morning! AgingToday.us

This Fourth of July we stop to say "Thank you" to those who went, those who waited, those who were wounded, and to those who will not be coming home. We take up your torch because it is our faith in Christ and our gratitude that calls us and compels us to be good citizens. Happy Fourth of July!
What makes a nation great: dedicated people but, most of all, dependence upon God. Our country's history and the great history of the Bible shows that which Benjamin Franklin said, "God governs in the affairs of men."
This Fourth of July message comes from 2 Timothy where we are reminded that living a life that pleases God comes with hardships. As soldiers are committed to their mission, we are to be committed to Christ.
