Famed atheist Richard Dawkins declared that, “Faith is belief in spite of, even perhaps because of, the lack of evidence” – especially scientific evidence. Since the Enlightenment, the benefits of scientific discovery have also resulted in a belief that since God is not able to be observed or measured, that he does not exist. But is that true? This Sunday Pastor Brandon will discuss how scientific discoveries in the invisible realm are now some of the most logical reasons to believe in an Intelligent Designer.

Waiting is one of the hardest things we experience in life. Not knowing what's next. Not knowing when answers will come. The temple was rebuilt, and the nation of Israel was waiting for God's return. What was He waiting for? After the final prophet, Malachi, Israel entered a long silence… waiting. Join us this weekend as we conclude the Scrolls You Skipped, and hear what God is calling us to in the waiting.

One of the most dangerous warning signs for our faith is not when we are doubting or angry with God, but rather when we are complacent. It is a complacent faith that can cause a drift from God that can have implications for generations to come. Join us this Sunday as Pastor Brandon shares from the prophet Zephaniah how a passion for God can be nurtured.

What does it really mean to live by faith, especially when life feels unfair, and God seems silent? In the book of Habakkuk, we see a prophet who brings his pain to God, wrestles with hard realities, and ultimately chooses to rejoice in God's strength and salvation. Join us this Sunday as Pastor Mike walks through Habakkuk and reminds us that living by faith isn't about having all the answers, it's about trusting the One who does.

They are rarely given out and even less rarely kept. When they are broken, so is our hearts and our trust in others. The prophet Micah has another take on promises. Yes, we are promise breakers, but he shares with the world that there is one that never break his promises. Join us this Sunday as Pastor Brandon shares the promises of God spoken through the prophet Micah.

It's the least read book in the entire Bible, with no quotations in the New Testament, and no prophecies regarding the coming Messiah. So why would we bother reading the book that is already the least read book in the entire Bible? Join us this Sunday as Pastor Brandon shares the relevance of the small but mighty book of Obadiah.

One of the qualities of a godly person and a great nation is when justice is valued. It was in 1963 that Dr. Martin Luther King quoted the book of Amos in his famous “I Have a Dream” speech when he said, “We will not be satisfied until justice rolls down like waters and righteousness like a mighty stream.” Join us this Sunday as Pastor Brandon discusses how we can be a people and nation that fulfills this message through the prophet Amos.

If you did a survey on the least read section of the Bible, you would find that the answer is the Minor Prophets. In fact, according to Bible Gateway, of the ten least read books in the Bible, six of them are found in the Minor Prophets section. So what's the reason to read through these twelve scrolls that we so often skip? This Sunday Pastor Brandon will lead us to discover that these words from God are not only inspired by Him, but they paint a picture of God's character, humanity's sinfulness, and a future hope that is still relevant for us today.

There are many areas of our lives that give us joy, whether it be our spouse, kids, career, or leisure. But life has a way of teaching us that none of these baskets can be the source of our ultimate joy. When we put all our joy eggs in these smaller baskets, we find over time that they are supported with unstable foundations, eventually fall over, and make a mess of our lives. But these baskets were never meant to be the source of our joy but rather placed in the larger basket. Join us this weekend as Pastor Mike concludes our series.

Approximately one third of our lives are spent working, which translates to over 90,000 hours over a lifetime. Not only is that, but many of us find our identity in our work and achievements, and when the career basket falls over at some point in our lives, it can create quite a mess. Join us this Sunday as Pastor Brandon discusses Paul's perspective on how he views his own resume in relation to a relationship with Jesus.

We typically think of the Resurrection of Jesus as something that only has a past and a future attached to it. It was in the past that he rose from the dead and it is in the future that we will rise with Him. But what does the Resurrection have to do with today? This Easter weekend, Pastor Brandon shares that the Resurrection provides a past validity, a future inevitability, but also a present vitality. Watch all of our Easter Baptism on YouTube at TheChapelFW.
