Since coming to the west coast Alex has climbed the ranks very quickly becoming a pivotal contributor to the future of our valley. Like Craig Ploof he is originally from the East Coast, but got a taste of the California sun and never looked back. He spends time as an assistant winemaker at NC. Since Craig‘s arrival though he has more time to focus on the Marketing & Branding elements that are so very important to any successful and forward thinking business. He also throws us a curve ball and brings in a couple very unique and delicious ciders, a trend that has come on strong to the market. Join us as we dive into a few of the elements that it takes to manage a brand image. And be sure to tune in on Wednesday for a special mid-week release, Recapping TTG’s recent visit to Napa. Where we were able to be apart of the Grand Oakville Tasting held at Robert Mondavi Winery.

Recorded 4/26/19 - Since Craig decided to skip the podcast today, we decided to invite one of Austin’s top actual security experts, Wendy Nather, to stop by. After Mitch is done being a fanboy, Wendy breaks down zero-trust, beyond the marketing story of a world without a perimeter. We spend most of the time discussing what zero trust looks like as security model and how it can be implemented in the real world. We also dive into usability and “good enough” security. Aria Carpenter loves sex. Aria also loves educating folks about sex! So it's a great thing that she works for a sex toy shop called Good Vibrations here in Massachusetts. Aria is not only highly informed on understanding different sex toys, lubes, and condoms, she is also adept at leading workshops and educational opportunities for colleges and other work spaces. So this is going to be our most sexually explicit conversation to date - and that's a good thing because frank conversations on sex need to happen more often.Since Craig and Aria are both sexual health educators, this conversations dives into a lot of their work and their differing perspectives as Craig is a cis-man and Aria is a Trans woman. Ultimately, it's a conversation that explores sex positivity, pronoun use, and the reality that we're always going to offend people and that's okay - but how we follow up matters. Aria is a very outspoken activist and is actually one of Katy's former students, and in the fall, she was featured in this Boston Globe piece about the trans student experience at Lesley University. This is truly an expansive conversation that will even branch into an extra episode this weekend, so stick around for more!ADVERTISING NOTE:- This week, since it's PRIDE MONTH, we shared information on the Trevor Project.- Founded in 1998 by the creators of the Academy Award®-winning short film TREVOR, The Trevor Project is the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning (LGBTQ) young people under 25.- Visit theTrevorProject.org to learn more about their services, and make sure to share their 24/7 lifeline, 1-866-488-7386.- You can also donate to support the folks that work for the Trevor Project so they can continue to provide all of the services they provide as well!MUSIC NOTES:- This week we shared tunes from the new Cosmic Johnny album, "Good Grief," which came out on April 28. Craig Ramsay is here to show us that we no longer have to stress out over an intense workout regimen, and that building our physical and emotional fitness can be a fun and enjoyable process. JOIN THE FACEBOOK GROUP | REVIEW THIS PODCAST It's no secret that exercise can be overwhelming when we go into it with the all-or-nothing mentality. This approach can lead to health activities that don't resonate with us emotionally and cause us to quit when we don't attain certain fitness goals. We can avoid this situation by finding fun and healthy ways to improve our fitness no matter where we are, and by building more excitement and laughter into the process. When we engage in workouts that really light us up inside and let go of the stress that comes with always having to be perfect, we are going to thrive emotionally, become healthier, and transform our physique. The Importance of Posture Most people are unaware of their poor posture and movement habits, and this can have a greater impact on our health than we realize. We don't have to seek out a yoga or pilates class to improve our posture and ability to stretch.  We can start to increase our awareness for how we move and better our bodies' alignment by using certain techniques right away. Craig recommends that we picture holding a washcloth in the back part of our armpit. Simply doing this is going to help us elevate the chest, push the shoulders back and down, and allow us to breathe better and fuel our bodies with more oxygen. This improvement in our posture will help us move throughout our day with intention, intensity, and purpose.   Stretch: A Reason To Wine When Craig trained the women from the hit TV show on Bravo, "The Real Housewives," they allowed him to change their workouts and also their eating plans, but had 1 very serious stipulation: He was not allowed to take away their wine! Since Craig was a trained contortionist, ballet dancer, and stretching expert, he had no problem coming up with a fun way to incorporate the ladies' love for wine and his love for stretching and moving the body. Craig knew about the scientific research showing that minimal amounts of wine can have benefits to our health and also chemically improve our ability to stretch.  That is when his new exercise class was born: Stretch - A Reason To Wine! His class includes a 5 wine tasting flight, which he pairs together with a stretch that matches the taste and experience of each wine.  He finds his participants feeling great, becoming more comfortable in a social fitness environment, and having a wonderful time in the process. Click Here To Learn More About Craig's Class "Stretch: A Reason To Wine" Listen to WFF o10 As Craig Uncovers: His origin story and background that kept him heavily involved in a fit & active environment His experiences on Reality TV that showed him the true power of being vulnerable Why he feels the bodybuilding industry has done an injustice to our views on health and wellness He shows us how we can have a life, live a life, and look incredible all the while How he was able to help his mom cope with her Fibromyalgia Why enjoyable exercise will impact our overall health and wellness How we can get through emotional blocks and start building our fitness The importance of having fun and laughing during exercise Why letting go of our emotional weight will help us let go of physical weight How Craig finds balance in his busy lifestyle How we can use technology to uplevel the human experience Why the all-or-nothing approach can be damaging to our health and wellness About Craig Ramsay Craig Ramsay is an internationally recognized fitness expert, exercise programmer and author known for his unique, effective, and entertaining fitness methods. Special Agent Orlando “Orly” Munoz sits down with Craig at the FBI (yes, THAT FBI) Houston Division’s headquarters to talk about being a G-Man or G-Woman. Since Craig’s only frame of reference is TV and movies, he talks to Orly about how someone can become an agent, what the FBI does and what exactly is their jurisdiction. They also touch upon drugs, kidnapping, serial killers, Craig's lack of a weapon and why Houston is a hotbed for almost all the crimes the FBI concentrate on.

It's the end of the world as we know it, but Craig feels fine. Since Craig had plans for this Saturday, he put together an end of the world podcast, seeing as how May 21st is scheduled to be the end of the world per some sincere but misguided folks who have combined math and Biblical studies. Craig celebrates the last day on Earth with a End Times themed podcast. There are classic internet predictions of the end of the world, a karaoke jam, the long promised Stupid Lawsuit roundup, and a healthy dose of Craig rambling. Even the music recommendation had an eschatological feel, with Craig recommending "Final Day" by Tokio Hotel. VSR will be back next week for a regular show...assuming the world is still standing next week, that is.
