Sychosis has spent a lifetime in the music industry. As a classically trained musician he spent his youth touring Europe and North America. He caught the dance music bug at 18 and has steadily built a career that spans music, media and technology. As a DJ he's played small and large rooms alike with gigs at major festivals like EDC Vegas and as far away as Vietnam. His bass heavy beats have caught the attention of everyone from Marten Hørger to DJ Craze and Tommy Trash to Billy Kenny. He's been featured in publications like Mixmag, The NestHQ, and This Song Is Sick. As a journalist, his work has appeared in major publications like Magnetic Mag, Insomniac, and Ask Audio. He also works in tech, at Dubset Media the world's first distributor of DJ Mixes and bootleg remixes. This week the Space Cowboys are pleased to welcome, Bertie Dastard (a.k.a. Mike Perks), the editor and chief of Free Breaks Blog, a fellow-Breakspoll finalist this year in the 'Best Website/Blog' category. Mike is one of the good Samaritans in the world of breakbeat and he has been a huge supporter of The RIPEcast over the years. He launched his blog, which is a veritable gold mine of free tracks and DJ mixes, in 2010 (the same time The RIPEcast came into existence).
