Pastor Robert Rivera delivers a message entitled "This Is My Year".
On this week's podcast, you get a chance to listen to an interview with Danielle Lewis (Dingman). She became a professional triathlete in 2018. We discuss her journey of following her dream to become a professional athlete. Some of the things we discuss are some of the mantras she used to get back into things when setbacks came. One thing she talks about is going toward your dreams and not resisting them. She shares about a time after she had a big bike accident where she wondered if she would really be able to make her dream come true of becoming a professional athlete. She decided in the beginning of 2017 that it was her year. She would say to herself "This is my year". She started racing duathlons and triathlons, and she had so much success. She won or was on the podium at every race, and due to her success, she received her pro card at the end of 2017.We also talk about how she became a triathlete, but she didn't really know how to swim. She offers suggestions to those who don't swim or that are afraid to start doing triathlons because of the swim. She has so much insight into how to keep going when times get challenging. She says "always trying to improve and progress is the key, and that if you keeping chipping away at it you can achieve your goals".She is a perfect example of this.
