弟子たちが集まっていた、鍵のかかった部屋の真ん中に、彼らの疑いと恐怖の中、復活したイエスが現れました。それは彼らに、自分が本当に死からよみがえったことを証明するためでした。イエスが弟子たちに、彼らのこれから受ける使命を助けるために来られる聖霊について語ってくださいます。

Jesus' resurrection changed everything for those who witnessed it, including Mary Magdalene, the first to see the risen Christ. Our passage helps us to see how Jesus' resurrection transforms not only the witnesses' perspective of Jesus, but also our perspective: not only pertaining to this life, but also the life to come.

今回の聖書個所を通して、マグダラのマリアをはじめ、復活したイエス様を目撃した人が、どのように変えられたかを見て行きます。イエスの復活は、それを目撃した人々の見方を変えただけでなく、私たちの人生の見方、そしてやがて来る人生に対する見方をも変えることができるのです。

今週と来週の聖書箇所で、ヨハネは、イエスの弟子であるマグダラのマリア、ペテロ、そしてヨハネ自身の目を通して、イエスが十字架にかけられた三日後の復活を私たちに見せてくれます。そして、彼らが目撃し、体験したことから、私たちはイエスが完全に信頼できるお方であり、イエスに信仰を置けることを知ることができます。

十字架から空っぽの墓へと急ぐのは簡単ですが、その間の闇についてはどうでしょうか？ 今日は、歴史上最も絶望的な瞬間に、神様が意外なイエスの弟子を通して、贖いのミッションを果たし続けておられたことを見て行きましょう。そして、それが私たちが時々通らなければならない闇の時期にどのように当てはまるかを考えてみましょう。

Even in death, Jesus fulfilled every prophecy. His bones unbroken, His side pierced, proving He was the perfect Passover Lamb. Even in these seemingly small details, God shows His sovereign control over salvation's plan. This helps us to know that when life feels uncertain, we can trust the One who never fails to keep His promises.`

死においても、イエスはすべての預言を成就されました。 その骨は折られることなく、そのわき腹は刺し貫かれ、完全な過越の子羊であることが証明されました。 このような一見些細なことにおいても、神様は救いの計画の上に支配を示しておられます。 これによって、人生が不安定に感じられるときでも、約束を破ることのないお方に信頼することができると、私たちは知ることができます。

Jesus fulfilled every requirement to be our perfect substitute through His crucifixion. He was willing to suffer unjustly in our place, He perfectly obeyed God's law, even while dying. And He completely fulfilled every prophecy. This confirms to us that He is the only one qualified to save us from our sins.

イエスは、十字架上で私たちの完全な身代わりとなるために必要なすべての条件を満たされました。私たちの身代わりとして不当に苦しむことをいとわず、死の間際まで神の律法に完全に従われました。そして、すべての預言を完全に成就されました。これは、イエスが私たちを罪から救うのにふさわしい唯一の方であることを私たちに確信させてくれます。

イエスは十字架上で言葉に言えないほどの大きな肉体的な苦しみに耐えました。しかし、私たちの罪に対する霊的な苦しみはさらに大きなものでした。王としての苦難は闇の敗北をもたらし、イエスに信仰を置くすべての人々に贖いを与えました。

Jesus endured unspeakable physical pain on the cross, yet His spiritual suffering for our sins was even greater. His suffering as King ushered in the defeat of darkness and offered redemption to all who put their trust in Him.

Explore how John 19:1-14 reveals Jesus' divine glory precisely when He appears most humiliated before Pilate. As the Passover lambs were being prepared at the temple in Jerusalem, the King of Kings was willingly preparing to become the ultimate sacrificial Lamb.

ヨハネ１９章１－１４節が、イエスがピラトの前で最もへりくだった姿をさらされたまさにその時に、イエスの栄光を明らかにしていることを見て行きましょう。エルサレムで過越の祭の小羊が神殿で捧げものの準備をされている中、王の王は究極の犠牲の小羊となられるために、自ら進んでいました。

In today's passage, we find the story of a man named "Son of Abba" This man is doomed to a horrible fate that is inescapable. And yet one day, he finds himself standing next to the only person who is capable of rescuing him... by taking his place.

今日の箇所では、「アバの子」と呼ばれる男の物語を見て行きます。この男は、逃れることのできない恐ろしい運命に定められています。しかし、ある日、彼は自分を救うことのできる唯一の人物の隣に立っていることになったのです。その人物は彼を救うことができたのですが、それをするためには彼の身代わりになることでした。

今日の箇所では、イエス様がユダヤ人の指導者たちに訴えられ、その後、エルサレム総督からローマ帝国を攻撃するために来た王であるかどうかを問いただされます。イエス様はある王国を打ち倒すために来られました。しかし、その王国はローマではありませんでした。では、それはどのような王国で、イエス様はどのようにしてそれを打ち倒すのでしょうか？

私たちはペテロをよく知り、なじみ深く思います。そして、今朝の箇所で彼が何をしようとしているのかも知っています。彼がそれをしなかったらいいのになと、思いますよね。しかし、この物語の終わりには、ペテロがイエスから恵みを受けたというこの素晴らしい考えに私たちは慰められます。私たちと同じように。 We know Peter. We love Peter. And we also all know what he's going to do in our passage this morning. We wish he hadn't done it. But at the end of this story, we're comforted with this amazing thought, that Peter received grace from Jesus. Just like we did.

In today's passage, Jesus is accused by the Jewish leaders, and then questioned by the governor of Jerusalem as to whether he is a king who has come to attack the Roman Empire. Jesus has come to overthrow a certain kingdom, but that kingdom was not Rome. So what kingdom is it, and how will Jesus overthrow it?

ヨハネの物語の舞台はゲッセマネの園から二人の大祭司の家に移ります。アンナスとカヤパはイエスを処刑にするために有罪にする理由を見つけようとします。しかし、どんなに頑張っても、この二人の大祭司の計画は失敗に終わります。しかし、この場面にはもう一人の大祭司がいます： 偉大な大祭司であるイエスです。イエスを人類のためにご自分をいけにえとして捧げようとする計画は誰も止めることはできません。

今日の箇所の場面はゲッセマネの園です。この園で私たちは、裏切りに直面してもなお、イエスの力と権威を見ることができます。それと同時に、贖いのミッションを成就させるために、御父の御心に身を委ねているイエスをも見ることができます。それによって、私たちは自分の計画が天のお父様のご計画と異なっていても、それを信頼することができることをも見ることができます。

The scene in today's passage is the Garden of Gethsemane. In this garden, we can see the power and authority of Jesus even in the face of betrayal. At the same time, we can also see Jesus submitting himself to the will of the Father in order to fulfill the mission of redemption. Through this, we are reminded that we can trust God's plan even when it differs from our own.

ヨハネの福音書１８章で、私たちが上の部屋を離れて十字架を見始める前に、イエスの弟子たちへの最後の教えを振り返る事は大切だと思います。では、上の部屋でイエスから学んだすべてのことから4つのことを取り上げるとしたら、それは何でしょうか？

Before we walk away from the upper room and begin to look at the cross in John 18, it would be good for us to take some time to reflect on Jesus' final teachings to His disciples. If we could take four things from all the things we've learned from Jesus in the upper room, what would they be?

Just before Jesus begins His journey to the cross, He takes time to pray to His Father. He finishes His prayer by asking His Father to pray for those who believe in the message of the disciples. He prays specifically for us! The question is, what does Jesus pray for?

イエスは十字架への旅を始める直前、御父に祈る時間を取られました。イエスは、弟子たちのメッセージを信じる人々のために祈ってくださるよう父に願い、祈りを終えられました。イエスは私たちのために祈ったのです！では、イエスは私たちのために何を祈られたのでしょうか？

今日の聖書箇所で、イエスは弟子たちのために二つのことを祈りました。それは守られることと聖別されることです。 では、それは私たちにどのような意味があるのでしょうか？

Today we get to see more of our salvation from Jesus' perspective. We get to see how God the Father brings us to His Son to reveal the truth of who He is, and how we simply respond by receiving and trusting in the truths Jesus reveals.

先週見始めたイエス様の視点から見る、私たちの救いについて続けて見ていきます。父なる神が御子のもとに私たちを導き、子なる神が天のお父様について明らかにされること。そして、私たちがイエス様が照らしてくださった真理を信じ受け入れることによって、救いを受ける素晴らしい内容が見ることができます。

Before Jesus heads to Gethsemane to be betrayed and crucified, Jesus stops and prays to ask His Father for help. Not only for His steps to the cross but also for His disciples in His absence, and also for those who follow. Today we look at the first part of Jesus' prayer.

イエスさまが裏切られ、十字架につけられるためにゲッセマネへ向かう前に、立ち止まって天のお父様に祈りました。それは、十字架に向かう自分の歩みだけでなく、自分がいないの間の弟子たちのため、そして、イエスに侵攻を置く後に来る人々のためにも祈りました。今日は、イエスの祈りの最初の部分を見ていきましょう。

In Jesus' conversation with the disciples, He reminds them that they will see Him again after the cross. And that seeing Him will bring them great joy. This Christmas season, it's good for us to remember the joy of seeing Jesus by looking back at those who saw Jesus at His birth.

イエスが弟子たちと交わした会話の中で、イエスは十字架の後、再び彼らに会うことを思い出させます。そして、イエスを見ることで彼らは大きな喜びを得ます。このクリスマスシーズン、イエスがお生まれになったときにイエスに会った人々を振り返ることで、イエスに会う喜びを思い出すのは素晴らしいですね。

In today's passage, Jesus reminds the disciples that they will have to go through a time of sorrow. But He also reminds them that even out of the sorrow, He will give us joy that overwhelms the sorrow itself. 

今日の箇所で、イエスは弟子たちに、悲しみの時を経験しなければならないことを教えます。しかし同時に、悲しみの中でも、悲しみそのものに打ち勝つ喜びを与えてくださることも思い起こさせてくれます。

ヨハネによる福音書第１６章で、イエスは弟子たちに思いがけないことを告げます。それは、イエスが弟子たちのもとを去るのは、弟子たちの益のためであるというのです。それはいったいなぜでしょうか？イエスの肉体的な存在よりも良いものなどあるのでしょうか？

In John 16, Jesus tells His disciples something unexpected: that His leaving them is for their benefit. How could that be? What could be better than the physical presence of Jesus? 

イエスが憎しみについて教えたことをご存知ですか？もちろん、人を憎んではならないことを知っていますよね。しかし、もし人が私たちを憎んだら、どうすればよいのでしょうか？今日の聖書箇所でイエスは、その憎しみの理由とそれに対する対応の仕方を教えてくださいます。

Did you know Jesus taught on hatred? We know already that we should not hate people. But what do we do if people hate us? Jesus tells us why in today's passage, and also how to respond to it. 

Jesus said, "I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit." What does fruit actually look like when I'm connected to Jesus? Today we look at the second part of Jesus' answer to that question.

イエスは、「わたしはぶどうの木、あなたがたは枝です。人がわたしにとどまり、わたしもその人にとどまっているなら、その人は多くの実を結びます。」と言われました。そこで質問です。今日は、その質問に対するイエスの答えの後半部分を見ていきましょう。

Jesus said, "I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit." So here's a question. What does fruit actually look like when I'm connected to Jesus? 

イエスは、「わたしはぶどうの木、あなたがたは枝です。人がわたしにとどまり、わたしもその人にとどまっているなら、その人は多くの実を結びます。」と言われました。そこで質問です。イエス様とつながっている時に私たちの人生に結ばれる実とは、実際どのようものなのでしょうか？ 

In John 15, Jesus uses the image of a grape vine to illustrate the importance of being connected to Him. Here's the question: how do we know if we are truly connected to Jesus? 

ヨハネによる福音書第１５章で、イエスはぶどうの木のイメージを用いて、ご自身とつながっていることの重要性を説明しています。ここで質問です。私たちは、本当にイエスとつながっているかどうかをどのようにして知ることができるのでしょうか？

神さまが私たちを創造されたのは、私たちが神様の栄光を現すためです。しかし、私たちはどのように神様に栄光を示すのでしょうか？主を賛美したり、他の人に主のことを話したりする時だけでしょうか？今日は、私たちの生活のあらゆる部分が、主に栄光を示すことに織り込まれていることを見ていきましょう。

God created us so that we could display His glory. But how do we do that? Is it just when we praise Him or tell others about Him? Today, we're going to discover that every part of our lives is interwoven with the purpose of glorifying God.

Today we will look at the humble love of Jesus Christ on display as he gives an example for Christians to humbly serve one another.  A love that is not like the world's selfish love, but a humble serving love. And what should our response be to Christ's example?  Will we be like Judas and reject the love of Jesus?  Or will we follow his example and show the love of God by humbly serving each other.
