The peace of a sleeping child at Christmas is a beautiful moment. So maybe praying this blessing over your sleeping children on Christmas Eve will bring a special moment for you. As Jesus was sleeping in the manger, you know that Joseph and Mary looked down at that precious miracle and wondered what was next. As a parent, may you know the awe that they felt while looking down at your children and whispering, "The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make his face shine on you, and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance on you, and give you peace." (Number 6:24-26 NASB) in Jesus name, Amen.

But the reason for the holiday is lost on so many so we pray that God blesses them by making it clear. Mark 11:24 says that "whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it,and it will be yours". So give us the heart to cry out to you for the lost. Knowing that you do not want and you to perish. Put a great expectation on their hearts that their prayers are making a difference in the lives of their classmates. In Jesus name, Amen.
During your Christmas break, you may find yourself on social media more than usual. So, just a quick reminder not to compare and despair. You little were created by God as the only one of you and that makes you amazing. Father, build up this child to be what you created them to be and to encourage others to do the same. When they face a message on social media that goes against Ephesians 4:29, give them the strength to support others and the wisdom to realize it is wrong. We thank you Father for your words of grace and truth. In Jesus names, Amen.
This is the end of a quarter or semester for so many students. This Christmas Children's Blessing is for everything that you, little one put your hand to. Father, as you say in Psalm 90:17, show this child your approval and make their efforts a success. We pray that they will turn to you for help in understanding the material they are to study and help with the schedule they need to achieve. You have not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love and a sound mind so remind them of this when it is time to take that test. in Jesus' name, Amen.
What is one of the greatest gifts you can give your kids? Praying a blessing over your children is definitely one gift but the greatest gift is to teach them that God keeps his word. In his book The Dawning of Indestructible Joy, John Piper writes: "Say to the next generation again and again: God is truthful; God keeps his word; God does not lie; God can be trusted!" So Father, we pray this blessing over this little one that doesn't understand why promises made at Christmas are not always kept. We, as humans, sometimes stretch the truth or tell each other what we think we need to hear but you never do. Allow this little to know that you never speak untruth and that you are always there with them. Thank you God for keeping you promises. In Jesus name, Amen.
