How can believers push past surface-level Bible reading to the reality behind the words? Pastor John offers five practices to enliven dry devotions.
God desires that you would thrive and that you would walk with Him. It is only while we are in close proximity to God that we begin to realize what God created us for. It is here that we produce the fruit we were created to produce.
Let the message of Jesus Christ ring out from you.

Does faith in Jesus cancel the Law of God? Or does it actually confirm it? Many wrestle with this question. Some believe grace replaces the Law entirely. Others cling to the Law without understanding its purpose. But Scripture shows us something deeper: the Law was never the means of salvation — it was the mirror that revealed our need for one. In this episode, we walk through Romans and the words of Jesus to understand the purpose of the Law, the power of faith, and how the gospel does not abolish God's standard — it fulfills it. Faith does not make the Law void. It establishes it.

For centuries, lighthouses have guided ships through darkness, warning of hidden dangers and leading sailors safely to shore. Their steady light offers direction when the way forward cannot be seen. In the same way, Jesus is the Light who guides people through the darkness of life. He reveals truth, warns of danger, and leads those who follow Him into safety and life.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------DONATE: https://evidence4faith.org/give/WEBSITE: https://evidence4faith.org/NEWSLETTER: http://eepurl.com/hpazV5BOOKINGS: https://evidence4faith.org/bookings/CONTACT: Evidence 4 Faith, 349 Knights Ave Kewaskum WI 53040 , info@evidence4faith.orgMy goal is that their hearts, having been knit together in love, may be encouraged, and that they may have all the riches that assurance brings in their understanding of the knowledge of the mystery of God, namely, Christ, in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. - Colossians 2:2-3CREDITS: Developed & Hosted by Michael Lane. In a world that constantly presses against our faith, we are not called to shrink back — we are called to stand. In this episode, we explore Paul's charge in Ephesians 6:10–13 to put on the whole armor of God and his reminder to Timothy in 2 Timothy 1:5–7 to stir up the gift within him. Standing firm is not passive. It requires spiritual strength, a guarded mind, and a heart that refuses fear. God has not given us a spirit of fear — but of power, love, and a sound mind. If you've been feeling weary, intimidated, or spiritually drained, this episode will remind you: you were built to stand.
Endure today’s hardships with faith, hope, and love.

Acts 2 is a powerful passage of Scripture where thousands come to Christ and we get to glimpse into the daily disciplines of these new followers that forever changed the world. Their devotion was fourfold. Devoted to the word. Devoted to fellowship. Devoted to the breaking of bread. Devoted to prayer. Looking to take your faith to the next level this is a great place to start. I also referenced the Youversion Bible App. It is a must have download. It is also free! The wilderness is not a place of punishment—it is a place of proving. In this final episode of the series Built to Stand: Faith That Endures, we talk about how to survive seasons when God feels distant, prayers feel delayed, and the road feels long. The wilderness exposes what is in us, but it also establishes what God is building in us. Survival in the wilderness is not about emotion—it is about obedience. Not about comfort—but about foundation. Not about pride—but about surrender. If you want to endure until the end, you must learn how to stand when the sand shifts beneath your feet.

Even when a beach seems empty, life is everywhere. Hermit crabs quietly move along the sand, carrying only what they need and leaving behind what no longer serves them. Their simple way of living offers a reminder. It is easy to become consumed with temporary things and burdened by worries beyond control. Thought to share? Send me a text...Have you ever wanted to shout at someone on a screen, “Don't believe that!”Deception has always been one of the enemy's favorite tools. In Nehemiah 6, opposition intensifies—from distraction to slander to intimidation and even spiritual manipulation. And yet Nehemiah refuses to come down from the wall.In this episode of Moments to Ponder, we explore:How opposition escalates when the work of God is advancingThe difference between discernment and fearWhy not every “spiritual word” is from GodHow Jesus faced similar tactics—and stayed faithfulWhat it looks like to remain steady when your integrity is questionedNehemiah's response is simple and powerful: “I am engaged in a great work, so I can't come.”If you've ever faced criticism, gossip, false accusation, or pressure to compromise, this conversation is for you.The wall was finished in 52 days—not because the opposition disappeared, but because Nehemiah refused to step away from what God called him to do.Let's take a few moments in God's Word and walk away strengthened. To find out more about me, or to book a speaking engagement, head to https://betsymarvin.com/For access to past podcasts and transcripts, head tohttps://betsymarvin.com/podcasts/You can follow me on Instagramhttps://www.instagram.com/betsyjmarvin/and Facebookhttps://www.facebook.com/betsy.marvin.98

This episode drops on the first day of Lent. The 40 days preceding Easter where we as believers seek to refocus through prayer and fasting. My hope is that you will consider the following questions as you step into the season of Lent: Are you relying more on your own strength or on God right now? What distractions are pulling you off lthe trail spiritually? How can you intentionally pursu God during this season of Lent?
