This episode is a special one. After a year of interviewing thoughtful, world-class guests, I wanted to share more of my own story. So I asked my dear friend, and episode 01 guest, James Clear, to turn the mic on me. We talk about the formative moments in my life— from childhood patterns and baseball memories to the inner work I've done to stop striving without purpose and start accepting myself more fully. I share why I believe that most successful people already know what to do—they just need help getting past their individual emotional blockers. We explore the coaching frameworks I use, the lessons I'm still learning, and why I no longer believe I have to suffer to do good in the world. This is the most personal conversation I've ever had on the show, and I'm incredibly grateful to James for holding it with so much care. Let's get to it! Colonel Jeff McCausland analyzes the Gaza deal's sticking points: returning all hostages (due to fragmented control and deceased status) and Hamas surrendering weapons (their final leverage). The discussion moves to Venezuela, where a large US naval force suggests destabilization efforts against the Maduro regime, rather than merely counter-narcotics. McCausland then discusses Russian drone provocations across Europe, noting the European collective defense meeting in Copenhagen and the significant escalatory potential of providing Ukraine with long-range Tomahawk missiles. 1915 GAZA

Patrick answers bold listener questions on the Garden of Eden, the destiny of Adam and Eve, and extraordinary biblical lifespans, blending these with heartfelt stories of marriage struggles and spiritual recovery. Surprises pop up as he discusses Catholic teachings on guardian angels, responds to debates about the Latin Mass and Martin Scorsese's saint documentaries, and even shares thoughts on mustache care. Brisk exchanges and raw honesty keep the conversation lively and unscripted. Lupe - Was the Garden of Eve real and did Adam and Eve go to Hell? Vinnie - I have a problem believing that people could live to 900 years old. How was that possible in the Bible? (06:47) Tom - My wife and I were separated 15 years ago, and we totally recovered from this. Surrendering and giving up really helped me. Your show really helped. (13:06) Sal (email) – Fr. Simon said it was okay to name your guardian angel. (20:14) Brother John - That earlier caller is turning the Church into a psychological issue. This is why we need the Confessional and need to acknowledge mortal and venial sin. (25:47) Joyce – Padre Pio named his guardian angel. (26:52) Shawn - Do you have any thoughts on the Martin Scorsese film, The Saints? (29:51) Brian - My dad took 4 years of Latin and ancient Greece. The New Mass doesn't give me any feeling. Ritual gives us tradition. Without the Latin Mass, we lose out on tradition and ritual. (39:30) Josiah - How are you able to keep a perfect mustache? (44:57) Tony - I was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Is praying to more than one saint, ok? (48:39)

In June of 2001, the Esalen Institute hosted Eckhart Tolle for a weekend workshop. By that time, Tolle's book The Power of Now had already begun an improbable ascent, exploding from a totally unknown into something of a cultural phenomenon. The central insight of Eckhart Tolle's work is that the future doesn't hold your salvation, and it doesn't pay to get lost in the past, either. What we long for, what we chase after, what we regret, all of it obscures the deeper truth: the only real place life exists is in this living present moment. In this archival talk that Tolle gives in the Leonard Pavilion at Esalen, he moves through his major themes. He talks about: • Identification with thought - that most of us unconsciously believe we are our thoughts and emotions, which creates suffering and an endless search for fulfillment. • Surrendering and saying ‘yes' to what is: what can happen when you stop resisting the moment and accept exactly what arises, even if it is painful. • the relief that comes in resting in presence. In this raw conversation with Sara Mayberg, we explore Sara's personal process of Teshuvah and the path back to her divine soul, as someone who was already committed to her Jewish practice. We discuss how the inherent nature of the divine soul is to want G-d, how Sara began to develop a visceral experience of trust, and how grief can crack us open in transformative ways. Other topics explored: how financial struggles can be invitations to lean on G-d, the significance of community in the path back to ourselves, learning to see the divine in others, the ongoing process of return, and the journey to reclaiming a sense of choice in our Judaism and relationships. In this episode, Guy talked with Michael Sandler and they explored the profound journey of embracing one's mystic nature by overcoming fears and following the pulls of the heart. Michael shared his experiences about the importance of surrender, the lessons learned from his spiritual practices, and the joys and challenges of being an empath. The conversation covered topics like balancing spiritual insights with daily life, maintaining personal boundaries, and practicing gratitude and love. They also discussed the impact of life experiences, such as becoming a parent and navigating professional pivots, on spiritual growth and authenticity. Michael invited listeners to join his School of Mystics for a transformative journey in expanding their consciousness and living authentically. About Michael: Michael Sandler is the co-host of the popular Inspire Nation Show, a transformational, self-help, spiritually focused podcast and YouTube channel, along with his wife, fellow coach, and teacher, Jessica Lee. He is a best-selling author, speaker, entrepreneur, visionary, coach, and the co-creator of Inspire Nation University and the Automatic Writing Experience online course. Having been a world-class athlete and coach, competing at the international level in cycling, along with being a competitive speed skater, Ironman triathlete, and runner, Michael has applied those same training skills to being a life coach to teachers, leaders, and visionaries. He is a life-long meditation practitioner and meditation teacher. Two near-death accidents led to the conception of the Inspire Nation show, the creation of the Automatic Writing Experience, and the writing of this book. These devastating accidents led Michael to a much deeper understanding about the world, of Spirit, and of our connection to something greater than ourselves. He calls this “getting the big picture” and from that this book emerged. Once driven purely by performance and results as an endurance athlete, Michael survived the near-fatal accidents that cracked his heart open and helped him discover a kinder, gentler way of moving through life, one that arguably makes an even greater impact on others and the planet. That's what he calls being an open-hearted warrior, and to his mission to elevate consciousness, shift humanity, and help people truly discover their greatest self. Despite twin titanium femurs and hips, as a result of the accidents, he continues to run, skate, bike, and play in the mountains or explore the world with Jessica, their daughter Hana, three kitty cats, along with Roo Roo the Wonder Rooster, always in prayer, always connected to Spirit. What does it mean to be faithful when your plans fall apart? Eleven years ago, Madison Church launched with meticulously researched strategies, countless prayers, and 200 empty chairs. Only 20 people showed up that first Sunday—half of them family members visiting from out of town. The humiliation was crushing, but looking back now reveals how God was writing a better story than anyone could have imagined. This anniversary reflection draws powerful parallels to Paul's experience in Athens, where he confronted a city so filled with idols that historians noted it was "easier to find a god than a person." While we don't have marble statues to Zeus or Athena in Madison, our modern idols are perhaps more dangerous because they're less visible. We worship comfort through convenience, achievement through success, busyness through hustle culture, and find our identity in politics and consumerism. The most concerning pattern emerges when we don't reject God for these idols but recruit God to serve them alongside us. We pray, but only so our lives become more comfortable. We worship, but only so God blesses our hustle. We've reduced the living God to a lowercase assistant for our agenda rather than the center of everything.Through examining the idols of security, worth, and control, we discover how these false gods promise peace but deliver anxiety, promise love but produce exhaustion, and promise order but result in frustration. The invitation stands today as it did for the early Christians who were radically called to forsake all other gods: Will we turn from our idols to serve the living God?The next chapter of Madison Church won't be built on comfort, busyness, politics, or spiritual highs, but on becoming a community where faith is not shallow but deeply rooted. What felt like failure then has become a testimony of God's faithfulness now—a story of changed lives, deep friendships, answered prayers, and hope rising in unexpected places. Life today is overflowing with constant noise and endless responsibilities — from work demands to family schedules, to the never-ending stream of emails and notifications. It’s easy to feel stretched too thin, constantly pulled in competing directions. In today's devotional and prayer, Heidi Vegh reminds us that the key to balance isn’t found in managing every detail perfectly, but in surrendering our days to God. Matthew 6:33 calls us to seek first His Kingdom — to make God our priority before anything else. When we start our mornings with Him, we allow His Spirit to order our steps, giving us peace in the middle of chaos. Balance doesn’t mean doing everything; it means doing the right things, with God’s guidance. Sometimes His answer may be to rest instead of striving, to connect with a friend instead of checking one more task off the list. When we make room for holy interruptions, we find the kind of balance our souls truly crave. Today's Bible Reading: “But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His Kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right attitude and character of God), and all these things will be given to you also.” – Matthew 6:33 (AMP) Key Takeaways Balance begins with priorities — seeking God first each day. Surrendering control allows God to redirect our days according to His will. The Holy Spirit provides gentle nudges and guidance when we feel overwhelmed. True balance comes not from doing it all, but from living aligned with God’s purposes. Let’s Pray Lord, life is busy and overwhelming, and I need balance. I surrender my plans, to-do lists, and ideals into Your hands. Guide me with Your Spirit, reminding me to start each day with You. Show me what to lay down, what to pick up, and how to create space for rest. Thank You for caring about every detail of my life and for promising to order my steps when I seek You first. In Jesus’ name, Amen. Calls to Action Start your morning tomorrow with a Scripture reading and prayer before touching your phone. Ask God throughout the day: “What’s the next right thing?” and trust His nudge. Subscribe to Your Daily Prayer and share this episode with a friend who needs encouragement to slow down and seek God first.
