In this episode of Beauty Brains and Bible, Kendra and Antoné bring out two of their girls (more like sisters) Mariah Jamison and Mojoanna Pierre to discuss the importance of the journey! We all have our “rain before the rainbow.” With the four of us all in similar seasons, it's so easy to want to skip to the good part. We learn though, that's not how life nor God works, and for good reason. There are blessings in staying present, even when it's not all good!

In this episode of Beauty Brains and Bible, Kendra and Antoné discuss ‘Identity.' Not just how we've come to know and define ourselves, but what happens when that paradigm is broken. So often we define who we are by what we do, and what we've accomplished; so it's easy to lose yourself if something drastically changes. Because that's just the game of life; it's important we root our identity in God so that no matter what you remember, “Whose you are!”

Why is it so hard for us to be productive? We have our marching orders and yet still we're self sabotaging! We're talking about our “Ciara and Russell prayers”, exes, friendships and more. Existence started with relationship; in the trinity. God also wants us to have relationships, he just asks that they start with him. Join us as we ask ourselves, what truly are “Relationship Goals?”

In this episode of Beauty Brains and Bible, Kendra and Antoné talk about “Cancel Culture.” While a “pro” of the phenomenon could be the light it sheds on topics that need to be discussed, we don't see it being put to good use. It ultimately has been a con in the black community, where we don't allow each other grace, or chances to redeem ourselves. Because none of us are perfect, we need to sit back and ask, “Would God Cancel Us?!”

In this episode of Beauty, Brains and Bible Kendra, and Antoné discuss their feelings on the current state of America following the insurrection at the Captiol. Reflecting on the Black experience throughout history, their Proverbs Challenge and recent bible studies help to shape their perspectives and serve as a reminder that God always wins. We can't help but wonder if people have forgotten who's really in control. 

Happy New Year!  In this episode of Beauty, Brains and Bible, Kendra and Antone check in on the first week of the January Proverbs Challenge and discuss their new year goals. In this new season, let's go with God's flow instead of simply "going with the flow." Following his plan for us, over our own.  Too often we lean onto our own understanding, trying to figure it all out. As we move forward, surrender everything to God and let him handle all of the details. It's a new year, right? Let's try a new approach.
