As the name of this episode implies are you one of those who find your eyes still shining at 2-5am in the morning? If you are, then this particular episode is for you(and also for me too tbh cos I'm really guilty) But as they say, we learn everyday Listen and learn more with me
On the first of 2 season finale episodes, we welcome a longtime listener, Vish onto the show. As you all now by now, all guests give us their Skincare Routine and HIKIAS (How I Know I Ain't Shit) Moment. So listen up ya'll, what are some unforgivable things that society has done? Z has a rather dark historical example for us, Prey puts the spot on folks who drank Nuvo, and TeamNoSleep scammers get roasted. Why do people who oppose having a job, work so damn hard to NOT have one? If they put that effort into a career, it may actually go well for them. Also, while on this topic of jobs - would you work a minimum wage job or would you have to figure something else out? When people come to you to vent - are you listening to be a shoulder for them, or are you trying to provide s solution to their troubles? Playing the wrong role can put you into a world of trouble. And lastly, why do old people think they can comment on your weight so easily?!!??! Come back next week for the second part of the Season 5 Finale. Don't miss it because after that, it's a wrap!

On this episode of Beauty Brains & Bible, Kendra and Antoné discuss the idea that “Sleep is for the Weak.” There's a trend of hustle and grind that yes can be commendable, but can also be more hurtful that anything. I mean how can we truly be at our best and experience success; if we don't rest and reset, or stop to smell the roses? Tune in as we debunk the theory of “Team No Sleep.”

La'Vista Jones is the Founder and CEO of 31 Marketplace, where she helps entrepreneurs bring order to the chaos of business and life by blending systematization and self care. In this episode, La'Vista discusses when the notion of self care became real for her as a person on the fast track in her corporate career and the day she, in her own words, “lost her mind” and how 31 Marketplace was born out of that experience. La'Vista speaks about how to build your business in a way that is nurturing to you as the founder and getting you to see that your vision is NOT a solo gig. She will show you that you have the capacity to fulfill the vision that you have for your business and take care of the Visionary at the same time; giving you permission not to subscribe to the habits of hustle culture and the glorification of busyness. In the episode I talk to La'Vista about: ● Why entrepreneurship isn't necessarily the answer to your workplace stress. ● How we break ourselves of the mindset of busyness and #TeamNoSleep as an entrepreneur. ● Using systems and automation to replicate yourself and eliminate low value work that creates busyness in our lives and business. ● Identifying your personal definition of self care and surprising ways to infuse it into your business. La'Vista is also one of the co-authors of my new book, On Purpose: 12 Strategies to Reclaim Your Power and Change Your Life. It has been a wild ride the last few weeks. On top of having our babies, i injured my back a couple weeks ago and it got to a point where it sent me to the hospital. I had to take some time off but feeling much better today and finally back recording. Today was a catch up day with us and how life has been with infants. We discuss our bodies and how important it is to take care of ourselves both physically and mentally. We also give some updates on our newest daughters and how life is going with them. We really jumped around this episode, but in the end it really was about raising our fmily and doing what we can to not make excuses. That one episode where we explain gentrification. This week, after spending a considerable amount of time driving through her old stomping grounds, Adriana decided to bring the podcast back to the research and discuss gentrification. We'll talk history, and the systemic policies were put into place that made communities vulnerable to gentrification. In addition to historical context, Adriana explains the interesting history of gentrification in her hometown, Austin, TX. We then move into discussing common patterns of city investment (and, in turn, disinvestment), and ways to identify, and eventually work to reverse gentrification. As per usual, Adriana has a lot to say; this week's 'OG Says' segment discusses some of our need to take on personalities that do not align with our authentic selves; we'll talk fake-deep, and the need to be perceived as "deep" in the first place. This episode ends with a reminder that we do not have to be active through every stage of life, and that the importance of stillness as an act of self-reflection, growth, and situational evaluation is just as important as “changing what you can change.” Sorry, #TeamNoSleep. This is yet another L for y'all.
On this episode of Authentic Daily Positivity: This will get all the “Team No-Sleep” folks mad - BIG MAD. Y'all need to know the true meaning of #TeamNoSleep from someone who's AUTHENTIC. ME. Take notes.
