We spend so much energy trying to think our way to insight, yet a fuller understanding of our lives often arrives from somewhere beyond the usual way we know ourselves. When our hands are busy with ordinary tasks something vast can sometimes settle into awareness. What happens when we discover that our bodies know a kinship with the earth our minds may have forgotten? Could belonging be less about finding our place and more about recognising we never left it? This week's conversation is hosted, as always, by Lizzie Winn and Justin Wise of Thirdspace. Episode Overview 00:00 Introduction to Turning Towards Life 03:03 Exploring the Source: Of Gravity and Light 05:43 The Significance of Menial Tasks 08:47 The Relationship Between Thinking and Receiving 11:45 Belonging and Recognition 14:43 Connection and Community 17:44 The Mystery of Existence and Our Place in It 20:59 The Importance of Acknowledging Our Already Existing Ways of Belonging 23:43 Creating a Sense of Belonging in the World 26:55 Conclusion and Invitations Here's our source for this week: Of Gravity and Light What we need most, we learn from the menial tasks: the novice raking sand in Buddhist texts, or sweeping leaves, his hands chilled to the bone, while understanding hovers out of reach; the changeling in a folk tale, chopping logs, poised at the dizzy edge of transformation; and everything they do is gravity: swaying above the darkness of the well to haul the bucket in; guiding the broom; finding the body's kinship with the earth beneath their feet, the lattice of a world where nothing turns or stands outside the whole; and when the insight comes, they carry on with what's at hand: the gravel path; the fire; knowing the soul is no more difficult than water, or the fig tree by the well that stood for decades, barren and inert, till every branch was answered in the stars. Welcome back to Impact Theory with Tom Bilyeu! In this lively episode, Tom is joined by his co-host Drew for a candid deep-dive into the most pressing issues shaping tech, culture, and society right now. Kicking things off, Tom takes Apple to task for missing out on AI innovation, arguing that mere incremental improvements aren't enough in a world rapidly shaped by artificial intelligence. Together, he and Drew offer a no-holds-barred exploration of tech industry leadership, unraveling why Apple's culture may be holding them back and what it would take to truly compete in the coming AI revolution. But the conversation doesn't stop at technology. Tom and Drew navigate a wide range of hot-button topics—from the gender debates driving modern society, to evolving roles in entrepreneurship in the AI era, and even the very real consequences of global conflicts like the ongoing crisis in Gaza. Along the way, they dig deep into questions from the audience, reflect on controversial moments in the news, and share personal stories about parenting, education, and the challenges of modern life. In this episode of the Modern Man Podcast, host Ted Phaeton welcomes Sergio Loaiza, founder of Protect Your Legacy, a financial education firm. They discuss the importance of financial sovereignty, the concept of infinite banking, and how to build a legacy for future generations. Sergio shares his personal journey, the significance of surrounding oneself with the right people, and the mindset needed for financial success. The conversation emphasizes the need for financial education and the impact of personal experiences on one's perspective on life and finances. Takeaways The system isn't broken; we just don't know the rules. Protecting your legacy starts with protecting it now. Surround yourself with good-quality people. The quality of your life is determined by the quality of questions you ask. Money is like air; when you have it, you don't think about it. You can choose to believe in the principles or not. If you pay cash, that cash is gone forever. You can become your banker. Life is easier when you have your finances under control. You have to be so confident in who you are. In this episode, we dive into the strange paradox at the heart of modern life — that everything is nothing, and nothing is everything. We unpack the absurdity of chasing causes that may never matter, and the equal emptiness of doing nothing at all. Is the effort pointless, or is not trying even more pointless? From Camus' absurdity to the paradox of meaning, we ask how these ideas actually shape the way we live today. We also explore how comedy, once a tool to question the universe and provoke thought, has itself become low-hanging fruit — a parody of questioning rather than a vehicle for truth. This is philosophy colliding with modern living, laughter, and the uncomfortable realization that sometimes the biggest joke is existence itself.PATREON Support The Hard Yarns and get access to exclusive drops, content, live shows and promo codes : www.patreon.com/thehardyarnspodcast FIND US Email: info@thehardyarns.com Instagram: @thehardyarnspodcast TikTok: @thehardyarnspodcast Web: https://www.thehardyarns.com SPONSORS All Trades Cover - https://www.alltradescover.com.au Crafted Finance - https://www.craftedfinance.com.auHard Yarns is Produced by B32media #hardyarns #podcast #comedy.
New Discovery Shakes Life's Origins: Proof of Intelligent Design? This eye-opening conversation uncovers the complexities of life's origin, scrutinizing the RNA world hypothesis against molecular biology's harsh realities. Experts Dr. Brian Miller and Dr. Casey Luskin join Lenny to discuss DNA-protein interdependence, polymerization challenges in water, and why self-organization doesn't explain life's emergence. With probabilistic hurdles in focus, they emphasize the need for a paradigm shift in scientific research to better address these fundamental questions.

Hometown Radio 07/21/25 6p: Dave and his brother Bruce debate the existence of heaven
From philosophy to science, metaphysics to psychology, the idea of 'nothing' is central to the universe, existence and experience as a whole. But the nature of 'nothing' is even more bewildering than we might first imagine. Parmenides argued that non-being is impossible because thinking about nothing is still something. Join philosopher Peter van Inwagen in this talk as he explores the metaphysics of 'nothing'.Peter van Inwagen is one of the leading figures in contemporary philosophy. Known for his thought-provoking contributions to metaphysics, the philosophy of religion, and the free will debate, van Inwagen has shaped modern discussions around determinism, the problem of evil, and the existence of God. With key works like An Essay on Free Will and Material Beings, his ideas continue to influence both scholars and curious thinkers.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
We're joined by Ramon Amaro, Creative Director of Design Academy Eindhoven — an engineer, philosopher, writer, curator, and altogether critical-force-to-be-reckoned-with on the subject of computation as it intersects with concepts like culture, race, and being. We were drawn to his tour-de-force “The Black Technical Object: On Machine Learning and the Aspiration of Black Being” (2023), which is an absolute banger, re-reading Gilbert Simondon's technical object through the lens of blackness, race, and racialized technologies. This one is a wild ride, a really deep and incredibly thoughtful episode, and we make an effort to define some initial terms on the podcast — specifically the ‘pre-individuated milieu' (the space where things or ideas live before they become crystalized into social or racialized relations) and the ‘technical object' (a way that Simondon helps us think through the autonomies enjoyed by technology, that even though technological objects may be initially bound in some ways to their human partners, they are able to exert influences not just backwards on us, but influences that determine their own design evolution over time). Ramon starts the conversation with a distinction that is critical to the whole episode — that blackness is not a racial category, or moreover, that blackness is distinct from race. Race is something that happens after blackness, that impinges upon blackness as it moves from pre-individuated space and enters into the field of social relations we currently live within. This independence is critical, because it invites alternatives (and suggests, we think very rightly, that this field of social relations we currently live within, while historically situated in imperial or colonial violence, is arbitrary and exchangeable with any other possibility). A few works that are important to consider here: W.E.B Du Bois, The Souls of Black Folk — total canonSylvia Wynter's work is discussed throughout, specifically on the concept of “Man” (particularly Unsettling the Coloniality of Being/Power/Truth/Freedom: Towards the Human, After Man, Its Overrepresentation—An Argument).Gilbert Simondon, On the Mode of Existence of Technical Objects and Two Lessons on Animal and Man — both places to look for autonomy in Simondon's workFrantz Fanon, Black Skin, White Masks — implied by discussions of phenomenology/perception under racialization.Stefano Harney and Fred Moten, The Undercommons — no spoilers, but more on this later :)Thanks soooo much to Dr. Amaro for joining us!

Nassim Haramein, mathematical physicist and director of the International Space Federation, has spent three decades chasing the holy grail of science — unifying quantum mechanics and general relativity. Building on Einstein and Rosen's 1930s equations, wormholes, and failed proton radius predictions, Haramein claims a simple tweak unlocks the secrets of the proton, the strong force, gravity, and the fluid dynamics of spacetime itself. In this conversation, we explore zero-point energy, the quantum vacuum, and a vision for future technologies rooted in a unified theory of physics.PATREON https://www.patreon.com/c/demystifysciPARADIGM DRIFThttps://demystifysci.com/paradigm-drift-showOUR HOMEBREWED MUSICCheck out our band's new album:https://secretaryofnature.bandcamp.com/album/everything-is-so-good-hereVinyl pre-orders available now: https://buy.stripe.com/14A5kC3Od5d21Ms7zPdEs09Follow Nassim at https://spacefed.com/00:00 Go! Filmed at DemystiCon 2025 in Portugal, Dr. C.S. Unnikrishnan, from India's Tata Institute, reveals a very different take on the nature of light. Beyond the noise of headlines and textbooks, the speed of light's measurement isn't proving to be so simple. Drawing on years at the heart of experiments that listen for the universe's faintest signals, he questions whether the speed of light is truly constant. Here, gravity and clocks intertwine, and relativity itself stands on uncertain ground. Ethan discusses three reasons we take vows and make commitments from a Buddhist perspective, and gives special emphasis to The Bodhisattva Vow, where we commit to not only pursue our own path of liberation and awakening, but also vow to work for the benefit of all beings, to the limits of space, until all beings are awake. It is a commitment to the collective liberation of all beings. Of course, this is impossible (at least in our lifetimes), so why would we agree to do it? Using the classic structure of the vow, along with modern commentary, Ethan dissects the reasons we would take on such a commitment. Ethan briefly mentions a much earlier episode of the podcast, where he discusses the first vow along the Buddhist path (The refuge vow). That episode can be found here. Ethereal Encounters Unveiled welcomes Brandon Martin August 8th, 2025 Topic: The Tapestry of Existence: Natural Law, Symbol, and the Occult Arts About Brandon Martin: Brandon Martin is an Independent Researcher, Symbolist, Alchemist, Philosopher, De-Occultist, Public Speaker, Founder of the SEED Truth Academy, S.E.E.D Conference, Co-Host of the Cubbywhole Podcast, with experience in Live speaking, Graphics Design, and Event Organization. I am an activist for Natural Law, Freemasonry, and the Mystery Traditions. He is working on several books and numerous essays that address critical topics aimed at the betterment of the species. He seeks to create an evolutionary shift towards a Moral society by raising Consciousness at the aggregate level. Through his presentations, videos, podcasts, and Essays, he attempts to take people on an inward journey of self-exploration, examining human Consciousness and the way these things pertain to the Universal problems which we all currently face as a species. He has won two awards for his work from the alternative community, one of which is the One Great Work Achievement Award, presented to him by Mark Passio in Philadelphia in 2019. He touches on topics such as: Ontology, Philosophy, Mystery traditions, the Occult, Esoterism, History, Symbolism, and much more like, Who are we? What is our purpose? Do we have value and meaning? Why do we hold onto certain dogmatic beliefs that give us more suffering? Why is the world in the condition it is in today? What does any of this have to do with the events we experience in our world? In these many empowering presentations from a vast number of researchers, and on this website, the following concepts and ideas will be deeply explored: • Consciousness • Truth vs Deception • The Mystery Traditions • Magic and Sorcery • Worldviews and Presuppositions • Objective Morality vs Moral Relativity • What Human nature truly is. • The basic nature of the problem we collectively face as a species • The forces of Dark Occultism at work in our lives • The multi-faceted methods by which human consciousness is manipulated on a daily basis • The underlying agenda of those performing the manipulation • What Natural Law is and how it contrasts with the law of man • What Sovereignty and Anarchy really mean • Epistemology and Philosophy • Human Origins and Totemic Sociology • Grassroots Solutions Anyone can employ this information to begin to turn the tide and heal the damage that has been done to our ourselves and our world rather than absorbing this information from a purely left brain/analytical point of view. I would suggest that one would gain the mass amount of clarity by engaging in the material with an open mind and an open heart and try to feel the information that is being presented from an intuitive point of view. The information contained in these presentations are not “my” ideas nor am I claiming to have “all” the knowledge necessary for the change to happen. I have found that this information has helped me personally the most and KNOW that without some of this knowledge such as Natural Law we will never make a change in human consciousness. I am NOT asking anyone to BELIEVE anything that is contained in theses presentations or on this website, you need to make that decision for yourself and do your due diligence into the topics provided. The whole purpose of this body of work is to encourage and inspire others to seek the knowledge that can lead them to a better understanding of themselves and of our world. Agape and Namaste! In this powerful and illuminating episode of Gateways to Awakening, I sit down with spiritualist, author, and clairvoyant medium Normandi Ellis to explore the profound wisdom of the ancient Egyptian mysteries. Her 14 published books include the spiritual classic, Awakening Osiris, translations from the hieroglyphs found in the Book of the Dead, as well as a book on the Ancient Tradition of Angels, Hieroglyphic Words of Power, and Imagining the World into Existence among others. She facilitates work with those wishing to explore the path of the priestess through her school devoted to Isis and Seshet. In addition to monthly classes, she offers clairvoyant circles, metaphysical classes and private consultations (phone or in person). Best known for her spiritual classic Awakening Osiris, Normandi unpacks the true meaning of the Egyptian Book of the Dead—known to the ancients as The Book of Coming Into Light—and reveals how its sacred texts offer a blueprint for turning death consciousness into life consciousness. We explore:- The origins and meaning of the Egyptian mysteries- The significance of alchemy and the roots of the word itself- The multidimensional Egyptian soul (Ba, Ka, Akh, Ren, Sahu, and more)- The spiritual power of hieroglyphs, prayer, and Heka (divine magic)- The living presence of the gods and goddesses within temples and statues- The initiatory role of sound and vibration in sacred spaces like the Great Pyramid- Isis as a symbol of the Divine Feminine and restorer of cosmic memory- The role of Thoth, natural law, and reality creation through intentionality and speechNormandi also shares deeply personal stories—from her 10-year journey translating the Book of the Dead, to spiritual pilgrimages in Egypt, to receiving recognition from Jean Houston and collaborating with Nikki Scully. Whether you're a seasoned seeker or newly curious about Egypt's esoteric legacy, this episode invites you to remember your place in the divine story—and to reconnect with the sacredness of all life.Learn more about Normandi Ellis and her offerings at www.normandiellis.comIf this conversation speaks to you, please share it and tag us @Gateways_To_Awakening. In more than three decades as a proud transgender activist, Jamison Green has moved from making history to writing it as one of the authors and editors of a new book, “A History of Transgender Medicine in the United States, From Margins to Mainstream” — an important contribution to the discussion during these times of growing intolerance (interviewed by David Hunt). Belgium's DJ Mistiek brings out “I Became Me,” a new queer anthem honoring the trans experience. And in NewsWrap: the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court rules the laws prohibiting same-gender sex in Saint Lucia unconstitutional, Cuba's trans people can now legally change their gender on official government documents without the previously required surgery, close to 100,000 people fill the streets of London to stand for “Existence and Resistance” at the Trans+ Pride March, Berlin's Christopher Street Day Parade brings out thousands of dancing celebrants, Budapest Mayor Gergely Karácsony is questioned by police as a suspected organizer of the banned LGBTQ Pride Parade, and more international LGBTQ+ news reported this week by Joe Boehnlein and Melanie Keller (produced by Brian DeShazor). Hey Gorgeous Soul,This is an important episode. One that I haven't felt was the time to share till now.In Dec 2023. I completed what was a very challenging journey of ancestral karmic liberation for my entire lineage. It took me processing the effects and burdens of others, including the effects of karmic dumping, soul entrapment and bindings of 48 generations. Taking me back to the fall of Egypt. The process started like it does for many. Due to a death or event. Mine started as my parents died. Which activated events out of no where. Suddenly I was ploughing through dense heavy energies and their effects...yet nothing had changed in my environment. Instead of allowing this to defeat me. I took another route. One of alchemy and soul embodiment. Deep shadow work and relentless effort to stay steps ahead. What was meant to stop me...strengthened me. My abilities to track energy, events and get to the roots with ease to pull down the house of cards...was honed through this initiation.Completing this not only broke the cycles. It fully liberated me. What I have now discovered is the roots and tethers for much of the ancestral cycles is karmic overlays at higher dimensional levels of the soul matrix. Get to these roots and the whole lineage gets freed. No more cycles. No more healing loops. No more being bogged down by actions you never took. We're not here to be enslaved. It's time humanity broke the chains and accelerated their healing and alchemy timelines. Now we can create not endlessly be clearing.Want my support...Reach out here: www.alleradawn.comWant to get started now. Friday Night Live 1 August 2025In this episode, I explore philosophical inquiries that connect deeply with our lived experiences, focusing on consciousness, existence, and morality. We examine the relevance of these questions in our daily lives and challenge the tendency to stray into abstract theorization. Emphasizing the importance of moral frameworks, I distinguish between deviance and dissent in the context of societal behavior, reflecting on how these concepts apply in our current socio-political landscape. Throughout the discussion, I invite listeners to engage actively, sharing their thoughts to enrich our collective understanding. We conclude by affirming the power of individuals to redefine their identities and narratives, encouraging personal growth and the pursuit of truth and virtue in the face of life's complexities.FOLLOW ME ON X! https://x.com/StefanMolyneuxGET MY NEW BOOK 'PEACEFUL PARENTING', THE INTERACTIVE PEACEFUL PARENTING AI, AND THE FULL AUDIOBOOK!https://peacefulparenting.com/Join the PREMIUM philosophy community on the web for free!Subscribers get 12 HOURS on the "Truth About the French Revolution," multiple interactive multi-lingual philosophy AIs trained on thousands of hours of my material - as well as AIs for Real-Time Relationships, Bitcoin, Peaceful Parenting, and Call-In Shows! You also receive private livestreams, HUNDREDS of exclusive premium shows, early release podcasts, the 22 Part History of Philosophers series and much more!See you soon!https://freedomain.locals.com/support/promo/UPB2025
This is the 150th episode of The Road Home Podcast! Yay, Big Deal! But, it's—as always—also a conversation about the Dharma, and the mind, and how to work with your own experience. And your mind, especially during meditation, can be boring. Very boring. So why is boredom such a difficult, yet important—and creative—experience? What do we do about boredom in meditation practice, as well as boredom in daily life? Using a teaching on working with boredom in three stages, along with teachings from earliest Buddhism on the “hindrance” of restlessness, Ethan unpacks the creative power of boredom. It's an incredibly important reframe of this very human experience, but don't worry, it's not that exciting after all. Enjoy!
