Andrew Doyle is Titania McGrath, host of GB News, a comedian and a writer. The world has shifted dramatically over the past few years, and the pace of change has only accelerated in recent months. Ideas that once lived outside the mainstream have quickly entered the Overton Window, while others have been pushed out. So what does the future hold for “woke”? Is it fading, primed for a resurgence, or simply mutating into the next cultural battleground? And more importantly, what new culture war is waiting just over the horizon? In the latest installment of Discord Notes, I opened up about more than just wrestling. Volume 7 is about building strong foundations — whether in conversations, communities, or creative platforms. It's also about being honest: with myself, with you, and with the content I create. For years, creators have been told to avoid politics and religion. I broke that rule in this episode. Why? Because culture itself is inseparable from both — and avoiding uncomfortable conversations only weakens our foundation.Key Themes from Volume 7Patreon Relaunch: After experimenting with Fourthwall, I relaunched Patreon on September 9th, 2025. Fourthwall stays as my merch home (with fully original designs), but Patreon is now the hub for community, group chats, and deeper conversations.Cancel Culture & Free Speech: From Gail Kim vs. Riho to hateful comments on my Raja Jackson video, I highlight how we've confused opinions with facts — and how online discourse has lost the ability to find common ground.Foundations Matter: I use the metaphor of building blocks to explain why obsessing over “chipped blocks” (small issues) prevents us from building strong structures in culture, wrestling, and community.Wrestling Meets Culture: Saudi Arabia is buying influence — WrestleMania, Royal Rumble, and now EA. WWE continues its global growth, while AEW stagnates, and NJPW is suffocating under outdated traditions.Breaking My Own Rules: I reflect on faith, being raised Catholic, and the phrase “walk by faith, not by sight.” I argue that growth requires discomfort — and conversations about religion, politics, and culture can't be ignored anymore. Why This MattersWrestling isn't just about matches — it's a mirror of culture. Discord Notes is my space to unpack those intersections without the algorithm dictating what gets heard. Patreon allows me to have unfiltered conversations with you — free of censorship, rage-bait, and corporate control. As I said in the episode: “Discord Notes Volume 7 is all about trying to find a really firm foundation in the things that we should talk about… not in a way that's preachy, but in a way where we can grow.”Please note: future Discord Notes will be on Patreon. I will keep this as wrestling. Stuff will be moving around.https://patreon.com/marieshadows
Free speech defenders are losing ground as government pressure mounts. Legal expert Greg Lukianoff reveals why the Kimmel case should terrify everyone.Full show notes and resources can be found here: jordanharbinger.com/1216What We Discuss with Greg Lukianoff:The Trump administration used FCC licensing threats and merger approval leverage to force ABC to fire Jimmy Kimmel — a form of "jawboning" where government coerces private entities to censor speech the government itself cannot legally punish.Historically, free speech has been the primary tool for minorities and marginalized groups. Martin Luther King Jr., Nelson Mandela, Frederick Douglass, and Gandhi all relied on free speech to challenge the majority and the powerful.Hate speech laws don't change minds — they drive people into echo chambers where they radicalize further. When people can only discuss controversial views with those who already agree, extremism intensifies rather than diminishes.Over one-third of college students believe violence can be acceptable in response to speech. Two-thirds support shouting down speakers, representing mob censorship that undermines the marketplace of ideas and threatens intellectual discourse.Practice intellectual courage. When encountering disagreeable speech, engage rather than silence. Ask yourself: "Am I safer knowing less about what people think?" The answer is no — open dialogue reveals problems early, strengthens your arguments, and builds a healthier society. And much more...And if you're still game to support us, please leave a review here — even one sentence helps!

Part one of a two part Broligarchy Roast that covers multiple deep dive topics. As the bros continue to flood the zone, we work to understand the significance and impact of each action AND stay focused on the Epstein files. This includes how station owners, networks, and the FCC operate and engage to present news and entertainment to the American people, and what it means to have freedom of speech. Additionally, what it means to have the right to protest, why students of history were alarmed after hearing recent inflammatory comments, and how current statements and events reflect classic signs of aspirational authoritarianism. Information shared is cited via published articles, legal documents, press releases, government websites, executive orders, public videos, news reports, and/or direct quotes and statements, and all may be paraphrased for brevity and presented in layman's terms. “I love America more than any other country in the world and, exactly for this reason, I insist on the right to criticize her perpetually.” - James BaldwinWanna support this independent pod? We've been told a neat little story, but the pieces don't add up. From the bizarre official statements to the strange way the investigation has been handled, it's clear we're not getting the full truth. Was this a political hit job? Was the FBI covering their tracks instead of finding real answers? Why are the media already trying to memory-hole what happened? If they can take out someone as polite as Charlie, every Conservative in America should realize they've got a target on their back. This wasn't just about Charlie Kirk, this was about silencing a movement. And we all know that. We're going to talk about why this moment is the turning point for the USA. Because until we know the truth, none of us are safe.
In this episode of The Greenroom, Jacob Winograd is joined by Nikki Phillippi, a longtime YouTuber, musician, and outspoken Christian whose career has been marked by both influence and controversy. Nikki shares her story of navigating the highs and lows of public life — from early success in music and lifestyle content, to the painful seasons of backlash over adoption, her stance on COVID, and the loss of friendships along the way. Through it all, she has sought to remain unashamed of the gospel, even when speaking biblical truth came at the cost of her reputation. The conversation ranges widely: Nikki reflects on her upbringing and her father's powerful conversion, the way homeschooling and motherhood reshaped her view of family, and why she believes cancel culture often reveals the idols of our age. Jacob and Nikki also dive into conspiracies, child trafficking, and the dangers of the entertainment industry, before turning to bigger questions about politics, liberty, and the role of faith in resisting a hostile culture. By the end, listeners will come away with a raw and relatable picture of what it means to live freely in Christ while pushing back against both cultural pressure and political overreach.Audio cleaned up with the Podsworth App!https://podsworth.comUse code LCI50 for 50% off your first order at Podsworth.com to clean up your voice recordings and also support LCI!
https://podawful.com/posts/2594 Cancel Culture is SO in right now, but for some reason the Dabbleverse refuses to cancel Mersh for his PARANORMAL Tumblr. WELCOME TO THE DIDDLEVERSE. Ever since the assassination of my good friend Charlie Kirk, the entire internet has basically become gangstalkers trying to get everyone on the other "side" fired from their jobs. Which has been pretty fun. I can't keep up if we are still anti-free speech guys or not... Jimmy Kimmel lost his job (which is GOOD), but Youtube banned Nick Fuentes and Alex Jones again (which is BAD). I, Hypocrite stole my viral KingCobraJFS and Charlie Kirk meme, so he should be fired immediately. An insane Tylenol-American named Mr. Burgers lost his job over his Charlie Kirk videos, NICE! We travel back in time with Sam Hyde and Alex Stein to find out that the next two weeks will be the most important two weeks to ever exist, forever. You thought being stuck in 2016 was bad? Hey pals. A little housekeeping: We keep full-length episodes like this one free, because we want as many people as possible to be able to hear them. But every episode we put out takes at least 20 hours to produce, from researching and booking to script writing, recording, editing, and marketing — and if you love this pod, we could use your help in keeping this project economically sustainable so we can keep churning out episodes like this one for years and years to come.If a paid subscription ($5/month!) isn't on the table for you right now, we've introduced a new tipping feature where you can throw us a couple bucks to let us know that you're enjoying what we make. You can think of it as tipping a barista for your morning cup of coffee — only instead of a cup of coffee, you're tipping us for an hour or more of stuff that you download into your brain. It's been a rough couple of weeks for freedom of speech in America, from from Jimmy Kimmel's suspension and reinstatement at ABC, to Trump's executive order labeling Antifa a domestic terror group, to right-wing doxing databases targeting private citizens for Charlie Kirk wrongspeak. Here to help us make sense of the larger political and economic currents that have led us to this moment is Chicago-based journalist Adam Johnson, co-host of the long-running media criticism podcast Citations Needed, creator of The Column on Substack, and author of a piece for In These Times titled “The Trump admin is brazenly exploiting Charlie Kirk's killing to silence dissent. Will Democrats take notice?”We break down the Kimmel saga — which coincided with a deportation order against Palestinian activist Mahmoud Khalil — and how the Trump administration is using Kirk's assassination to push a broader agenda to erode liberal institutions, silence political opposition, and get corporations to fall in line. We also dig into the right's overt embrace of so-called “cancel culture” tactics, backed by the full weight of the state — and how Democrats helped set the stage for this moment failing to defend the speech rights of their left flank. Finally, we examine how the media industry appears to be on the verge of a conservative “vibe shift,” from Bari Weiss' rumored rise at CBS to the Ellison family's powergrab over Paramount-Skydance and TikTok — and what standing up for free speech, and even doing one's job as a journalist, could look like in the years to come. For access to our monthly cultural weather report, our CUJOPLEX Discord, and other bonus perks, become a paid subscriber.Read Adam's piece “The Trump Admin Is Brazenly Exploiting Charlie Kirk's Killing to Silence Dissent. Will Democrats Take Notice?” at In These Times.Subscribe to The Column and listen to Citations Needed. This is a public episode. After years of the left gleefully canceling conservatives for wrongthink, they're now clutching their pearls about "censorship" when Jimmy Kimmel gets the boot from ABC. David and Brad serve up this piping hot dish of hypocrisy as they watch the woke mob suddenly believe in the First Amendment... but only when it applies to them.Other hot news topics include AOC's presidential delusions of grandeur, Trump's unfiltered diplomatic performance, and the serious legal battle over Candace Owens' conspiracy theories about France's First Lady that has a Delaware judge demanding... photographic evidence. From constitutional confusion to conspiracy courtrooms, David and Brad prove that when progressives get served their own medicine, the cognitive dissonance is both immediate and entertaining.
Drs. Tim and May tackle a wild week of stories blending medicine, politics, and cultural insanity. They kick off with the Tylenol–autism debate reignited by Trump's comments and the social media meltdown that followed. The discussion pivots to how much of a physician's or teacher's personal life should impact their career, with jaw-dropping stories: an anesthesiologist leaving mid-surgery for a “comfort break” with a nurse, a teacher protesting topless outside her school, and another busted for cocaine after a drug dog sniffed her purse. The conversation sharpens with Jimmy Kimmel's controversial comments about Charlie Kirk, his temporary show suspension, and whether his downfall is cancel culture or simple consequence culture. They also play raw, shocking clips of medical professionals expressing hate, contrasting it with Erika Kirk's powerful forgiveness after her husband's assassination. The episode closes with a parable about eagles and crows—urging listeners to rise higher above the noise, responding with grace, strength, and truth while holding the line on consequences.GET SOCIAL WITH US!

The Rising Risks of Cancel Culture & The Psychology & Language That Built It! In this explosive episode of Mayim Bialik's Breakdown, Dr. Steven Pinker (renowned Harvard psychologist and author of When Everyone Knows That Everyone Knows) joins Mayim Bialik and Jonathan Cohen for a no-holds-barred conversation that quickly turns into a fiery debate on the limits of science, belief, and human consciousness. From the hidden mechanics of social dynamics and language to the perils of thought policing and cancel culture, Dr. Pinker dives deep into how shared knowledge shapes society, why what people think others believe can shift power, and how social media became a modern-day coliseum for public shaming. But the sparks really fly when Mayim and Jonathan challenge Pinker's staunchly materialist worldview — questioning whether extrasensory perception (ESP), near death experiences (NDEs), and higher consciousness might point to something beyond the reach of scientific instruments. Pinker doesn't hold back, offering his sharply skeptical takes on mystical claims and pushing back against spiritual notions with cool-headed logic. Dr. Pinker also breaks down: - Why what others think of us actually matters - Dangers of being too direct or too indirect — especially for neurodivergent folks - How to create or hide common knowledge in relationships - The first case of cancel culture on social media (and its ancient roots!) - The thin line between freedom of speech and incitement to violence - How distrust in science fuels conspiracy theories - Can we depoliticize science? Or is it already too late? - The danger of defunding academic research - Why authoritarian regimes fear open communication - The healthcare system: overprescription, profit motives, and how to fix it - Is free will real? Or are we just dancing to the tune of biology and environment? Don't miss MBB's first-ever toe-to-toe spiritual showdown between Mayim, Jonathan, and a die-hard materialist. Whether you lean scientific, spiritual, or somewhere in between, this conversation will challenge what you think you know about reality. Freedom of speech is one of the most talked-about rights in America—but what does it really mean in our everyday lives? In this episode, Patty Jackson and the Millennials dive into the complexities of free expression in today's world. From social media debates and cancel culture to workplace dynamics and personal responsibility, the conversation explores where the line is between speaking your truth and facing the consequences. Honest, engaging, and thought-provoking, this discussion challenges listeners to think about what “freedom of speech” looks like for our generation and beyond.
Have feedback or a topic you want to hear about, let us know by sending us a direct message! On this episode of The KarWell Chronicles, Emily and Sarah dive deep into the current state of the world, navigating tough conversations about politics, free speech, cancel culture, social media, and the importance of open, honest dialogue—especially during turbulent times. They grapple with the public's response to the recent assassination of Charlie Kirk, the internet's loud reactions, and how society is dealing with disagreement in an age of polarization. Along the way, they share personal anecdotes, the challenges of raising thoughtful children, and the struggle to hold space for differing beliefs within their circles. If you're craving raw, unfiltered conversation about humanity, empathy, navigating the echo chambers of today's media, and how to foster real community even when opinions clash—this episode is for you.Whether you're exhausted by social media outrage, worried about free speech, or just want to hear two friends wrestle with the gray areas of modern life, tune in for an honest, vulnerable look at what it means to (imperfectly) try to live with love and conviction in a divided world.
Why are Super Bowl ads so good for launching certain kinds of new products? Why do we all drive on the same side of the road? And why, despite laughing and crying together, do we often misread what others think? According to bestselling author and Harvard psychologist Steven Pinker, it all comes down to common knowledge, or the phenomenon that happens when everyone knows that everyone else knows something. Hear Pinker and EconTalk's Russ Roberts explore the necessary conditions for that knowledge, and how it can be both vital and dangerous to societies, depending on how it's used. They discuss, among other things, game-theory puzzles, how laughter spreads, how totalitarian regimes exploit uncertainty about who knows what (even when they don't), and why we often don't say explicitly what we really mean to say.

In this gripping episode, Lee and Tara unpack Andy Ngo's warning about the evolution of the radical left — from silencing voices to embracing outright violence. They explore the growing nexus between Antifa, the Socialist Rifle Association, and elements of the Democratic Socialists of America, revealing how thousands are openly training for armed conflict under the banner of “anti-fascism.” The hosts connect these movements to recent assassination attempts, the troubling patterns of radicalization within transgender and Marxist circles, and the chilling possibility that Charlie Kirk's killing was part of something far larger than one gunman. From hidden manifestos to FBI cover-ups, listeners will hear why this moment signals a dangerous shift toward what some are calling an assassination culture.

Jimmy Kimmel's commentary surrounding the assassination of Charlie Kirk was disturbing and inaccurate, but quite frankly not surprising. What was a surprise, however, was the outpouring of love and honor that many A list celebrities and social media influencers have shown in the days following Kirk's death on Sept. 10. “I disagreed with him on almost every point I ever heard him say, but I believe he was a man of faith,” actress Jamie Lee Curtis said of Kirk on the “WTF” podcast while choking back tears. “And I hope in that moment when he died that he felt connected to his faith.” Actor Chris Pratt shared a video prayer and then encouraged his followers to stop scrolling and instead get outside or call a friend. Singer Justin Bieber wrote about a spiritual battle for the mind in a post on Instagram after Kirk passed. Jeffree Star, social media influencer and creator of Jeffree Star Cosmetics was streaming live on social media when he found out Kirk had been shot. Immediately he condemned the shooting and spoke out in support of free speech. When Star received criticism from some of his followers for condemning the assassination, he was quick to respond. “Because I'm standing up for someone that passed away, I'm now being called names in the chat. This is what's wrong with a lot of you people. You will never get far in life. You are sick in the head,” Star shot back. Some who have spoken out in celebration of Kirk's death, or made highly controversial comments over the tragedy, have lost their jobs as a result. Charlie Rock, Carolina Panthers NFL communications staffer, lost his job for a social media post he made after Kirk's death. “Why are y'all sad? Your man said it was worth it,” Rock said. American Airlines fired a pilot who reportedly wrote on social media: “Well hey Charlie. Sorry you got shot in your fat f—— forehead. It was just the cost of our liberty. ‘Thoughts and prayers.'” And now, most notably, ABC suspended Kimmel's late-night show after the comedian made light of Kirk's assassination and inaccurately joked that the shooter was “MAGA.” “The MAGA gang (is) desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it,” Kimmel said. Unlike Kimmel, the vast majority of Americans, including many celebrities, recognize that Kirk's assassination was evil and a dark moment in American history. This Sunday, tens of thousands of Americans will gather at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Ariz., for Kirk's memorial service and thousands more are expected to stream the ceremony live on Kirk's Rumble. Speakers at the memorial include President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth. Kirk's widow, Erika Kirk, will also speak and Christian worship artists Chris Tomlin, Brandon Lake, Phil Wickham, Kari Jobe Carnes, and Cody Carnes will perform. Enjoy the show! Cancel culture lives on, but it's taken new turns, especially among some of the loudest opponents of woke culture who simply can not abide one word of criticism about Charlie Kirk or Israel. Meanwhile, the vice president of the United States is actively encouraging his kind of Americans to rat out their neighbors. Plus, how authoritarianism and corruption go together, the challenge for academics who don't adhere to views on race they're 'supposed' to have, and Trump's talent for exploiting grievance will be studied for years.
