Dom's mission is to ascend as an artist and music executive in tandem, helping to create the ecosystem for artists that she wants to see for herself.Son of Trinidad and to legendary Caribbean producer, Kenny Phillips, Kasey Phillips spent his formative years in the studio, developing his craft early, producing his first track at just ten years old.Kasey quickly built a name for himself in his home country of Trinidad, becoming an integral part of the music community there, before landing an internship in Los Angeles, California that would expand his musical reach and ultimate vision. In Los Angeles, the possibilities for realizing his passion to bring soca and Caribbean music to the world were clarified, and he was able to return home to launch and build his company, Precision Productions, into the most sought after production company in the nation. As the most prominent music producer in Trinidad, Phillips set his sights on penetrating the U.S. market, and it wouldn't be long before his work as a producer on Ciara and Chris Brown's latest single “How We Roll” was sailing up the charts and reaching virality on social platforms. His portfolio includes work with diamond-selling artist Shaggy, R&B sensation Carl Thomas, Australian star vocalist Jessica Mauboy, alongside those who rule the Caribbean music charts, including Machel Montano, Bunji Garlin, Kevin Lyttle, Rupee, and Kes the Band. Most recently, Kasey worked on BLXCKIE's debut EP, See You Soon, for Def Jam Records, handling all mixing, mastering, and Atmos elements of the project. His unparalleled work ethic, impactful portfolio of work, and infinite potential for further excellence led to his signing with Sony Music Publishing, the world's number one music publisher.Honored across the music industry for his talent, Phillips has received the Soul Train Music Award for Best International Performance, the EY Entrepreneur of the Year Award, and serves his music community at large as the Chairman of the Grammy Screening Committee for Global Music. Kasey is currently based in Los Angeles where he continues to lead Precision Productions into a bright future of global dominance.

She talks about why it's necessary to stay “a little delulu”, how manifestation actually works, and how a good whiteboard session can turn an idea into a real-world business. We get into why being the only woman in rum is fuel not fear, how her apparel company 3Brand crossed $100M, and why culture and quality beat hype every time. This episode isn't about overnight wins. When cold cases are looked at, many officers believe the name of the culprit is already held within the paperwork. Time can restrict an investigation as people move away, forget details or pass away. But it also works in the other way, that loyalties change, people lose the fear of being found out or their conscience finally gets to them and new information is given. Between 1993 and 1998, six women disappeared under mysterious circumstances within a geographical area now referred to as the Vanishing Triangle:Annie McCarrick (1993): An American student living in Dublin, Annie was last seen boarding a bus to Enniskerry. Despite extensive searches, no trace of her has been found.Fiona Pender (1996): A 25-year-old pregnant woman from Tullamore, Fiona disappeared without a trace.Ciara Breen (1997): A 17-year-old from Dundalk, Ciara vanished after sneaking out of her home one night.Fiona Sinnott (1998): Fiona was last seen leaving a pub in County Wexford. Despite ongoing searches, her case remains unsolved.Jo Jo Dullard (1995): Disappeared while hitchhiking home to Kilkenny from Dublin. Her last known contact was a phone call made from a phone box in Moone, County Kildare.Deirdre Jacob (1998): A 19-year-old college student from Newbridge, Deirdre vanished within sight of her family. Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/deborah-hatswell-aka-tinkergirl--2840337/support.

What happens when the franchise you built, the one that looked wildly successful from the outside, starts quietly falling apart behind the scenes? In this powerful conversation, entrepreneur and author Ciara Stockeland shares the unfiltered truth about the rise and unraveling of her retail franchise brand, including the moment she sensed something was wrong long before anyone else did. From early wins and national recognition to a full-blown franchise mutiny, lawsuits, overwhelming debt, and ultimately bankruptcy, Ciara takes us inside the emotional and financial reality that most founders never talk about. Her transparency about identity, pressure, intuition, and accountability is rare and deeply needed in franchising today.Ciara also reveals the turning point that helped her rebuild a profitable business from day one, why paying yourself is non-negotiable, and how understanding your numbers will save you from the traps that take down so many emerging brands. Whether you're franchising today or still deciding if you should, this episode is a masterclass in avoiding the biggest (and most expensive) mistakes founders make.Ciara Stockland is a third-generation entrepreneur, profit strategist, speaker, and author of The Inventory Genius and Profit Genius. After franchising her first retail brand and later building and selling a first-to-market wholesale subscription box in just 18 months, she now coaches inventory-based business owners nationwide. Struggling with costs in your healthcare organization? Reach out to Michael.  Click Here for more info Episode Summary In this inspiring conversation, Michael Levitt welcomes Ciara, founder of Eventist, a leading SaaS company that revolutionized ticketing for dance competitions. What began as a side project for a friend turned into a thriving event management platform serving studios, festivals, and large-scale competitions. Ciara's story is a testament to resilience, innovation, and the power of solving real problems through technology. Building a SaaS Business from Scratch After losing her job, Ciara chose to create something new. What started as a personal favor evolved into a full-fledged software company addressing a gap in the dance competition industry. Michael commends her for transforming a career setback into a successful entrepreneurial journey. Together, they explore how identifying underserved markets can lead to sustainable business growth. Aligning Developers with Industry Experts Michael and Ciara dive into the challenge of bridging the gap between developers and industry specialists. They discuss how effective requirement gathering and clear communication lead to better, more intuitive software, especially in niche markets like event ticketing. Ciara shares how this alignment allowed her team to build solutions that meet real user needs rather than assumptions. Designing for User Experience, Not Just Features Feature requests can pile up fast, but Ciara knows that usability matters most. She and Michael examine why prioritizing user experience is critical, even if it means saying “no” to certain requests. Drawing parallels to healthcare and other sectors, Michael explains how miscommunication between end users and designers can lead to frustration, while Ciara highlights the importance of serving the majority of users who rely on core functions every day. Turning Customer Feedback into Action Listening to customers does not mean building everything they ask for. Ciara explains how her team implemented a feature voting system, giving users a transparent way to influence the product roadmap. Michael suggests that reaching out to clarify feedback can turn casual users into loyal advocates, showing that thoughtful communication fosters trust and retention. The AI Bubble and Software Evolution Michael and Ciara discuss the similarities between today's AI boom and the early 2000s dot-com era. While AI offers immense potential, Michael notes that many tools being created today will not stand the test of time. The future belongs to products that solve real problems with precision, human oversight, and authentic value. Building a Foundation for Scalability Ciara credits Eventist's adaptability to a strong infrastructure developed over three years. This solid foundation allowed her team to expand into studio management and festival scheduling without rebuilding from scratch. Michael praises this long-term mindset, explaining that scalable success depends on a stable architecture, not shortcuts. Database Discipline and Developer Sanity Ciara shares a golden rule for developers: stabilize your database schema before launch. Her six-month schema freeze policy helps avoid late-night emergencies and production chaos. Michael highlights how this disciplined approach prevents cascading issues and builds user confidence in the reliability of a system. Eventist: Empowering the Dance and Event Industry In closing, Ciara discusses how Eventist empowers dance studios and event organizers with transparent pricing that includes free ticketing software with a flat 25-cent fee per ticket and a 1.9 percent fee for studio tools. Listeners can explore more about her work and updates through Eventist.ca to learn about Ciara's software. Explore workplace and leadership insights at BreakfastLeadership.com/blog.
