    In this episode I speak to inspiring mama Tamara who shares her positive birth story. Tam was told that she might have trouble falling pregnant because she has endometriosis . She was recommended a naturopath who helped her manage her diet and prepare her body to fall pregnant. Tamara prepared a lot for her birth - especially mentally. One of her favourite books that helped her was ‘Birthing from Within.' She says the power of the mind is incredible! She had dreamt of having a drug free waterbirth during her pregnancy & did the work to prepare her for this. Tam read a passage from the book Birthing from Within that really stuck with her which is ‘labour is hard work.' As someone who loves a challenge she was up for it ! Tam was fortunate enough to have a solid supportive birth team and felt like she got to express herself and have the birth she always wanted.     In this episode I sat down over a cup of tea and chatted to gorgeous Suzi who is a mama of two. Suzi goes into detail of how she prepared for the birth of her two babies - she credits Hypnobirthing to the positive & empowering experience she had. She says how this helped her especially when her first born came early when she was 32 weeks pregnant. Suzi opens up & shares how she persevered with breastfeeding at the beginning (which came with challenges) and ended up breastfeeding her premature baby until he was 2 years old. Suzi believes that kids should be exposed to birth and says how “we are trying to raise resilient kids however we try and shun them away with things like birth & death.” Suzi has such a positive view on birth which led her to have an amazing experience.
